  I am making an application in which every user have to sign in first and then he can access his home page.Now on home page i have given a option of uploading image.Now if user is uploading one image i am storing the full path of uploaded image into database and from there i can display image easily by img tag... But what should i do when user want to upload many images.Then how i should store their full paths in database for same user.Give me an idea just like orkut or facebook.Should i amade a differnt table named images and i should store images in differnt rows with same username..Plz explain what showuld i do..I dont know the logic what showild i do...How i can upload many images and how i can store thri path and what will be the wisest method and how to display many images on one page(i can display one )

• How to change code settings in eclipse

  Sorry if the question title is confusing. Let me explain further. I am building a Java project with Eclipse. In my Java product I have conditionals that determine what code is included in the product and relies on static final constants for dead stripping. class BuildFlags { public static final boolean SOME_FLAG = true; // Need to set this programmatically } class SomeOtherClass { public void someMethod() { if (BuildFlags.SOME_FLAG) { // flag specific code } } } My question is how can I change BuildFlags.SOME_FLAG (above) so that I can run a special build without changing the source? Is there some way I can pass flags to the jvm (from eclipse) which I can then access to set this flag programatically?

• Excel + Web Data

  I've spent hours scouring the net for anything to do with VBA calling data from the web in excel and nothing provides a tutorial on how to do so, only complicated examples un-related to what I want to do. I want to pull data from either a .html or .xml site, doesn't matter, via Excel and find specific points in that data. I can find specific points but don't know how to get the data or scroll through multiple lines. One processes is redirecting output of some unix command to a file on server side.the data is always appended to the file eg : find / > tmp.txt 2.)Another process is opening and reading the same file and storing it in a string and sending the entire string to the client Now, this things take simultaneously.   I've read that accessing elements by position index can be done in constant time in a STL deque. As far as I know, elements in a deque may be stored in several non-contiguous locations, eliminating safe access through pointer arithmetic. For example: abc-defghi-jkl-mnop The elements of the deque above consists of a single character. The set of characters in one group indicate it is allocated in contiguous memory (e.g. abc is in a single block of memory, defhi is located in another block of memory, etc.). Can anyone explain how accessing by position index can be done in constant time, especially if the element to be accessed is in the second block? Or does a deque have a pointer to the group of blocks? Update: Or is there any other common implementation for a deque?

• Programming tutorials for people with zero experience

  A friend of mine is interested in learning how to program computers, but she knows nothing about programming. I suggested that Python might be a good language to start with, but after some googling, I couldn't find any tutorials that covered both programming and Python in an adequate way. I don't want her to go through the tiresome "learn algorithms in pseudocode first" routine. Instead, I'd like a tutorial that will explain the basic ideas while working towards a real goal, e.g. a very simple console game. Does anyone know of any such tutorials? Do you think that I'm mistaken in how I'm handling this? Is Python a bad choice? I know that something like C, C++ or Java won't work - too many details will be very counterproductive. On the other hand, I think that Lisp might be too mathematical and abstract. Python, on the other hand, will let her even do something like coding primitive graphical games in a short period of time.

• CSS Sprites : Mysterious Concept Explored ?

  I have 3 different images and now I want to create an sprite using css so that I am reducing HTTP Request. I am totally new to this concept and have not idea as to how to approach this. Can anyone suggest me what would be best bet for me ? Also I have seen there are some CSS Sprite generator engines where in you submit .zip folder containing your images and than they would combine it. I tried doing that but did not understood of what was happening and so any guidance regarding creating and using CSS sprites would be highly appreciated. Update: I have gone through the AList Part but it was not very clear to me. Can anyone explain the use case of CSS Sprites using an example ? Thanks.

Mandatory arguments to long options are mandatory for short options For some mysterious reason capital letters get duplicated. Can anyone explain what's going on?

  Hi I have java application which plays midi messages from sequence. I'm doing this using jfugue library. the problem is when I'm tryingto stop playback with stop button (which call sequencer.stop() and sequencer.close()) the last played note is sound all of rest time, and I can't stop it. So I'm asking about solution about stopping all audio and MIDI too! sound playback from java application. Notice: If you want propose just mute volume, you need to know that I want end-use will be able to press play button again and hear the sound again, so muting volumr will be not a solution, or explain please. • Infinite recursion trying to check all elements of a TreeCtrl

  I have a TreeCtrl in which more than one Item can be assigned the same object as PyData. When the object is updated, I want to update all of the items in the tree which have that object as their PyData. I thought the following code would solve the problem quite neatly, but for some reason the logical test (current != self.GetFirstVisibleItem()) always returns true leading to infinite recursion.   I have some folders with special characters in their names. I run currently at a test-computer with Windows OS, but later I will use LINUX. My problem is that the folders with special chars in their names cannot be recognized somehow. ex: file_exists('../Bilar/27733691_1.jpg') // TRUE file_exists('../Båtar/27733691_1.jpg') // FALSE because of the special char in folder name... How should I solve this? I plan to run LINUX in the future when website is online... would that matter? Please explain thoroughly because I am a newb at this Thanks

• MySQL ODBC error "server has gone away"

  Occasionally we're seeing an error from ASP pages: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005' [MySQL][MyODBC 5.00.11][MySQL] 2006 MySQL server has gone away We're handling it the best way we can in ASP but it still crops up. I think it's more to do with the MySQL ODBC driver than the ASP code. We never see this with PHP code we also have running under the same IIS server, however PHP re-connects each time it is ran, whereas I believe the ODBC driver connects once and stays connected. I've checked the settings in the driver but there doesn't seem to be anything I can change to help mitigate the problem. Can anyone explain why this is happening and how to reduce the number of times it happens?

• Screen orientation change forces data re-entry

  I'm developing a simple app, only a handful of activities and nothing to complicated. The issue I'm having is that in a few of my activities I have EditText widgets, and when the screen is rotated, these widgets loose their values. They still visually, that is, on the handset screen, report their values from before the rotation, but to the code report their default values. An example, I have an activity with an EditText, I enter a number, 15, the calculator starts calculating, displays a result. If at this point I rotate to a different orientation, as expected the activity dies, reloads, shows the new orientation, my value of 15 is still in the EditText, however the calculator (the code) calculates as if it was 0, which is the initial value. I have not tried changing the initial value to see if it is really pulling from the default value, or just setting itself to 0 when I cast it as an int. If I didn't explain this well enough, let me know, I can add source code if I need to. Thanks.

• Topichead not being generated

  I have the following code: <map title="Authoring Guide"> <topicref href="topics/front-matter.xml"/> <topichead navtitle="My TopicHead"> <topicref href="topics/who-should-use.xml"/> </topichead> ... When the PDF is generated using oXygen editor with the PDF Legacy plugin, the topichead element is completely ignored, yet the nested topicref is in the PDF. Can anyone explain why a topichead might be ignored in processing? thanks!!
