  • 10.10 - Error compiling kernel in iw_ndis.c

    - by chris
    I just wanted to compile a kernel (as described here), but I got this error: ubuntu/ndiswrapper/iw_ndis.c:1966: error: unknown field ‘num_private’ specified in initializer ubuntu/ndiswrapper/iw_ndis.c:1966: warning: initialization makes pointer from integer without a cast ubuntu/ndiswrapper/iw_ndis.c:1967: error: unknown field ‘num_private_args’ specified in initializer ubuntu/ndiswrapper/iw_ndis.c:1967: warning: excess elements in struct initializer ubuntu/ndiswrapper/iw_ndis.c:1967: warning: (near initialization for ‘ndis_handler_def’) ubuntu/ndiswrapper/iw_ndis.c:1970: error: unknown field ‘private’ specified in initializer ubuntu/ndiswrapper/iw_ndis.c:1970: warning: initialization makes integer from pointer without a cast ubuntu/ndiswrapper/iw_ndis.c:1970: error: initializer element is not computable at load time ubuntu/ndiswrapper/iw_ndis.c:1970: error: (near initialization for ‘ndis_handler_def.num_standard’) ubuntu/ndiswrapper/iw_ndis.c:1971: error: unknown field ‘private_args’ specified in initializer ubuntu/ndiswrapper/iw_ndis.c:1971: warning: initialization from incompatible pointer type Can anyone tell me what it means? Googling just came up with a result here on this site, where there was no answer, so maybe now someone knows.

  • Whether to separate out methods or not

    - by Skippy
    I am new to java and want to learn best coding practices and understand why one method is better than another, in terms of efficiency and as the coding becomes more complicated. This is just an example, but I can take the principles from here to apply elsewhere. I have need an option to display stuff, and have put the method stuff separately from the method to ask if the user wants to display the stuff, as stuff has a lot of lines of code. For readability I have done this: public static void displayStuff () { String input = getInput ("Display stuff? Y/N \n"); if (input..equalsIgnoreCase ("Y")) { stuff (); } else if (input.equalsIgnoreCase ("N")) { //quit program } else { //throw error System.out.print("Error! Enter Y or N: \n"); } } private static String stuff () { //to lots of things here return stuff (); } Or public static void displayStuff () { String input = getInput ("Display stuff? Y/N \n"); if (input..equalsIgnoreCase ("Y")) { //to lots of things here stuff; } else if (input.equalsIgnoreCase ("N")) { //quit program } else { //throw error System.out.print("Error! Enter Y or N: \n"); } } Is it better to keep them together and why? Also, should the second method be private or public, if I am asking for data within the class? I am not sure if this is on topic for here. please advise.

  • Moving characters on a grid [on hold]

    - by madmax1
    i am developing my first game with C++. My game uses a grid of rectangles. I have a class Board which manages the grid as a whole, initializes the terrain, places/removes characters, etc. It has a 2D vector of a class Field, which handles the Structure of the field, contained Objects, Characters, etc. Field again contains a vector of class Character, which are positioned on the field. Now i want to implement the functionality to move a character on the board, however dont know which is best practice to do so. Should i implement a moveCharacter(character, offset) function in Board, make it search for the character and move it? Or should i implement a function move(offset) in Character? This sure would be nicest, however makes characters necessary to know the board they are on, or the field which in turn knows the board. On the one hand i feel like i should avoid inclusion between classes as much as possible e.g. to increase portability of classes for different projects, on the other hand i think the character.move() functionality is most comfortable for further development. Im pretty new to "bigger" C++ projects and these kind of design questions pop up more and more often lately and i have troubles deciding. Thanks a lot for any advice!

  • Flow Fields in Dynamics NAV

    - by T
    I don’t know the exact business reason but someone asked how to identify all sales shipping orders with any negative quantities on them.  They needed to print these separately from the shipments that only have all positive quantities. Here is one way to solve this problem In NAV, open Sales Shipment Header Add a field of type Boolean (The field type should match the value you expect to return from the flow field method.  In this case we will use an exist so we expect a bool but we could have used a Sum, Average, Min, Max, Count, or a Lookup to return a value). Define it as a flow field and click on the ellipse next to CalcFormula Now [Has Negative Qty] is false if no negatives exist And [Has Negative Qty] and true if a negative exist So it is ready to be used as a filter on the report. Don’t forget that if you are using it in code, you may need to CalcFields. Hope that helps.  If you really can’t afford the field in your header, you can use code to check the lines for a negative value each time and use a skip or break function to skip that header record but it seems expensive to check them all if you only want a few to print. Please let me know if you think of a better solution.

  • Static DataTable or DataSet in a class - bad idea?

    - by Superbest
    I have several instances of a class. Each instance stores data in a common database. So, I thought "I'll make the DataTable table field static, that way every instance can just add/modify rows to its own table field, but all the data will actually be in one place!" However, apparently it's a bad idea to do use static fields, especially if it's databases: Don't Use "Static" in C#? Is this a bad idea? Will I run into problems later on if I use it? This is a small project so I can accept no testing as a compromise if that is the only drawback. The benefit of using a static database is that there can be many objects of type MyClass, but only one table they all talk to, so a static field seems to be an implementation of exactly this, while keeping syntax concise. I don't see why I shouldn't use a static field (although I wouldn't really know) but if I had to, the best alternative I can think of is creating one DataTable, and passing a reference to it when creating each instance of MyClass, perhaps as a constructor parameter. But is this really an improvement? It seems less intuitive than a static field.

  • MS Access Query Criteria Issue

    - by xxl3ww
    Currently I have a MS Access database query that has a field named FedEXDetTotal that totals 9 FedEX charge fields. I have another field that is from our inhouse system called "Total Charge". This is just a normal number field. I have created another Field in this query Diff: [FedEXDetTotal]-[Total Charge] This tells me the difference between the Fedex charge and what we actually charged. Everything works OK with this, but when I try to put the criteria 5 for the Diff field, when I run the query, I get a prompt saying "Enter Parameter Value FedEXDetTotal". Why is Access doing this? How do I get around this? I'm trying to start out with something simple(5), but what I really want is [Forms]![Dis].[txtbox_Diff].

  • Operations on multiple overlapping layers not working

    - by Arun
    Hi I am developing a game in android just like Farmville by Zinga. In that game we have to place elements in the diamond shaped field so the don't overlap each other. Now I did coding for placing the field inside the farm field but I cannot stop the problem of overlapping of the farm field. I Am attaching the code that I have down for all this someone please help me.... try{ if(bm1.getPixel((int)initX,(int)initY)!=0){ if(bm1.getPixel((int)initX,(int)initY+20)!=0){ if(bm1.getPixel((int)initX-20,(int)initY)!=0){ if(bm1.getPixel((int)initX+20,(int)initY)!=0){ if(bm1.getPixel((int)initX,(int)initY-20)!=0){ c.drawBitmap(bm,initX-30,initY-20, paint); } } } } } }catch(Exception e) { Toast.makeText(getContext(), e.toString(), Toast.LENGTH_SHORT); }

  • Add & Show data in Java ArrayList [closed]

    - by Kaidul Islam Sazal
    I have a class inside a main class : static class Graph{ static int u, v, cost; } I have instantiated an arraylist of the class: static List<Graph> g = new ArrayList<Graph>(); And I insert several values into the arraylist like this: Scanner input = new Scanner(System.in); for (int i = 0; i < edge_no; i++) { Graph e = new Graph(); e.u = input.nextInt(); e.v = input.nextInt(); e.cost = input.nextInt(); g.add(e); } And I print it like this: for (int i = 0; i < edge_no; i++) { System.out.println(g.get(i).u + " " + g.get(i).v + " " + g.get(i).cost); } But the problem is that, when I print it, only the last value is shown all the time.It seems that, all the previous values are over-written with it. Input : 1 2 5 1 3 8 2 3 9 Output: 2 3 9 2 3 9 2 3 9 Expected output is just like the input.But I can't fix the problem as I am novice in java.

  • ERROR #342: DEVICE_SHADER_LINKAGE_SEMANTICNAME_NOT_FOUND

    - by Telanor
    I've stared at this for at least half an hour now and I cannot figure out what directx is complaining about. I know this error normally means you put float3 instead of a float4 or something like that, but I've checked over and over and as far as I can tell, everything matches. This is the full error message: D3D11: ERROR: ID3D11DeviceContext::DrawIndexed: Input Assembler - Vertex Shader linkage error: Signatures between stages are incompatible. The input stage requires Semantic/Index (COLOR,0) as input, but it is not provided by the output stage. Can anyone find where the mistake is?

  • Useful WatiN Extension Methods

    - by Steve Wilkes
    I've been doing a fair amount of UI testing using WatiN recently – here’s some extension methods I've found useful. This checks if a WatiN TextField is actually a hidden field. WatiN makes no distinction between text and hidden inputs, so this can come in handy if you render an input sometimes as hidden and sometimes as a visible text field. Note that this doesn't check if an input is visible (I've got another extension method for that in a moment), it checks if it’s hidden. public static bool IsHiddenField(this TextField textField) { if (textField == null || !textField.Exists) { return false; } var textFieldType = textField.GetAttributeValue("type"); return (textFieldType != null) && textFieldType.ToLowerInvariant() == "hidden"; } The next method quickly sets the value of a text field to a given string. By default WatiN types the text you give it into a text field one character at a time which can be necessary if you have behaviour you want to test which is triggered by individual key presses, but which most of time is just painfully slow; this method dumps the text in in one go. Note that if it's not a hidden field then it gives it focus first; this helps trigger validation once the value has been set and focus moves elsewhere. public static void SetText(this TextField textField, string value) { if ((textField == null) || !textField.Exists) { return; } if (!textField.IsHiddenField()) { textField.Focus(); } textField.Value = value; } Finally, here's a method which checks if an Element is currently visible. It does so by walking up the DOM and checking for a Style.Display of 'none' on any element between the one on which the method is invoked, and any of its ancestors. public static bool IsElementVisible(this Element element) { if ((element == null) || !element.Exists) { return false; } while ((element != null) && element.Exists) { if (element.Style.Display.ToLowerInvariant().Contains("none")) { return false; } element = element.Parent; } return true; } Hope they come in handy

  • What is the/Is there a right way to tell management that our code sucks?

    - by Azkar
    Our code is bad. It might not have always been considered bad, but it is bad and is only going downhill. I started fresh out of college less than a year ago, and many of the things in our code puzzle me beyond belief. At first I figured that as the new guy I should keep my mouth shut until I learned a little more about our code base, but I've seen plenty to know that it's bad. Some of the highlights: We still use frames (try getting something out of a querystring, almost impossible) VBScript Source Safe We 'use' .NET - by that I mean we have .net wrappers that call COM DLLs making it almost impossible to debug easily Everything is basically one giant function Code is not maintainable. Each page has multiple files that are created every time a new page is made. The main page basically does Response.Write() a bunch of times to render the HTML (runat="server"? no way). After that there can be a lot of logic on the client side (VBScript), and finally the page submits to itself (often time storing many things in hidden fields) where it then posts to a processing page which can do things such as save the data to the database. The specifications we get are laughable. Often times they call for things like "auto-populate field X with either field Y or field Z" with no indication of when to choose field Y or field Z. I'm sure some of this is a result of not being employed at a software company, but I feel as if people writing software should at least care about the quality of their code. I can't even imagine that if I were to bring something up that anything would be done soon, as there is a large deadline looming, but we are continuing to write bad code and use bad practices. What can I do? How do I even bring these issues up? 75% of my team agree with me and have brought up these issues in the past, yet nothing gets changed.

  • Iptables working strangely

    - by user109985
    I have Ubuntu 12.04 x64 installed in my laptop. I'm quite new to linux, and I wanted to specify certain rules for the iptables firewall. This is the saved config of my iptables: *mangle :PREROUTING ACCEPT [0:0] :INPUT ACCEPT [0:0] :FORWARD ACCEPT [0:0] :OUTPUT ACCEPT [0:0] :POSTROUTING ACCEPT [0:0] COMMIT *nat :PREROUTING ACCEPT [0:0] :INPUT ACCEPT [0:0] :OUTPUT ACCEPT [0:0] :POSTROUTING ACCEPT [0:0] -A PREROUTING -p tcp -m tcp --dport 3306 -j DNAT --to-destination 192.168.1.100:3306 -A PREROUTING -p tcp -m tcp --dport 11002 -j DNAT --to-destination 192.168.1.100:11002 -A PREROUTING -p tcp -m tcp --dport 13000 -j DNAT --to-destination 192.168.1.100:13000 -A PREROUTING -p tcp -m tcp --dport 13001 -j DNAT --to-destination 192.168.1.100:13001 -A PREROUTING -p tcp -m tcp --dport 13002 -j DNAT --to-destination 192.168.1.100:13002 -A PREROUTING -p tcp -m tcp --dport 13003 -j DNAT --to-destination 192.168.1.100:13003 -A PREROUTING -p tcp -m tcp --dport 13004 -j DNAT --to-destination 192.168.1.100:13004 -A PREROUTING -p tcp -m tcp --dport 13061 -j DNAT --to-destination 192.168.1.100:13061 -A PREROUTING -p tcp -m tcp --dport 13099 -j DNAT --to-destination 192.168.1.100:13099 -A POSTROUTING -j MASQUERADE COMMIT *filter :INPUT DROP [0:0] :FORWARD ACCEPT [0:0] :OUTPUT ACCEPT [0:0] -A INPUT -i eth0 -p tcp -m tcp --dport 3306 -j ACCEPT -A INPUT -i eth0 -p tcp -m tcp --dport 80 -j ACCEPT COMMIT In theory, what it does is to drop all connections in all ports except for http, mysql and few other ports. Moreover, it redirects all mysql and 13000-13004..etc port connections to a specific local ip in the same port, which is 192.168.1.100. But what I find strange is that when my firewall is active, it blocks absolutely all the input connections, even those which must not block (http, mysql). In fact, I'm literally blocked and I can't establish any external connection. What am I doing wrong? PS: I tested the firewall without those redirections, and it still block all inputs, so I suppose it's not the problem.

  • Code Golf: Finite-state machine!

    - by Adam Matan
    Finite state machine A deterministic finite state machine is a simple computation model, widely used as an introduction to automata theory in basic CS courses. It is a simple model, equivalent to regular expression, which determines of a certain input string is Accepted or Rejected. Leaving some formalities aside, A run of a finite state machine is composed of: alphabet, a set of characters. states, usually visualized as circles. One of the states must be the start state. Some of the states might be accepting, usually visualized as double circles. transitions, usually visualized as directed arches between states, are directed links between states associated with an alphabet letter. input string, a list of alphabet characters. A run on the machine begins at the starting state. Each letter of the input string is read; If there is a transition between the current state and another state which corresponds to the letter, the current state is changed to the new state. After the last letter was read, if the current state is an accepting state, the input string is accepted. If the last state was not an accepting state, or a letter had no corresponding arch from a state during the run, the input string is rejected. Note: This short descruption is far from being a full, formal definition of a FSM; Wikipedia's fine article is a great introduction to the subject. Example For example, the following machine tells if a binary number, read from left to right, has an even number of 0s: The alphabet is the set {0,1}. The states are S1 and S2. The transitions are (S1, 0) -> S2, (S1, 1) -> S1, (S2, 0) -> S1 and (S2, 1) -> S2. The input string is any binary number, including an empty string. The rules: Implement a FSM in a language of your choice. Input The FSM should accept the following input: <States> List of state, separated by space mark. The first state in the list is the start state. Accepting states begin with a capital letter. <transitions> One or more lines. Each line is a three-tuple: origin state, letter, destination state) <input word> Zero or more characters, followed by a newline. For example, the aforementioned machine with 1001010 as an input string, would be written as: S1 s2 S1 0 s2 S1 1 S1 s2 0 S1 s2 1 s2 1001010 Output The FSM's run, written as <State> <letter> -> <state>, followed by the final state. The output for the example input would be: S1 1 -> S1 S1 0 -> s2 s2 0 -> S1 S1 1 -> S1 S1 0 -> s2 s2 1 -> s2 s2 0 -> S1 ACCEPT For the empty input '': S1 ACCEPT For 101: S1 1 -> S1 S1 0 -> s2 s2 1 -> s2 REJECT For '10X': S1 1 -> S1 S1 0 -> s2 s2 X REJECT Prize A nice bounty will be given to the most elegant and short solution. Reference implementation A reference Python implementation will be published soon.

  • "Invalid form control" only in Google Chrome

  • XSLT: a variation on the pagination problem

    - by MarcoS
    I must transform some XML data into a paginated list of fields. Here is an example. Input XML: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <data> <books> <book title="t0"/> <book title="t1"/> <book title="t2"/> <book title="t3"/> <book title="t4"/> </books> <library name="my library"/> </data> Desired output: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <pages> <page number="1"> <field name="library_name" value="my library"/> <field name="book_1" value="t0"/> <field name="book_2" value="t1"/> </page> <page number="2"> <field name="book_1" value="t2"/> <field name="book_2" value="t3"/> </page> <page number="3"> <field name="book_1" value="t4"/> </page> </pages> In the above example I assume that I want at most 2 fields named book_n (with n ranging between 1 and 2) per page. Tags <page> must have an attribute number. Finally, the field named library_name must appear only the first <page>. Here is my current solution using XSLT: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" version="2.0" exclude-result-prefixes="trx xs"> <xsl:output method="xml" indent="yes" omit-xml-declaration="no" /> <xsl:variable name="max" select="2"/> <xsl:template match="//books"> <xsl:for-each-group select="book" group-ending-with="*[position() mod $max = 0]"> <xsl:variable name="pageNum" select="position()"/> <page number="{$pageNum}"> <xsl:for-each select="current-group()"> <xsl:variable name="idx" select="if (position() mod $max = 0) then $max else position() mod $max"/> <field value="{@title}"> <xsl:attribute name="name">book_<xsl:value-of select="$idx"/> </xsl:attribute> </field> </xsl:for-each> <xsl:if test="$pageNum = 1"> <xsl:call-template name="templateFor_library"/> </xsl:if> </page> </xsl:for-each-group> </xsl:template> <xsl:template name="templateFor_library"> <xsl:for-each select="//library"> <field name="library_name" value="{@name}" /> </xsl:for-each> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> Is there a better/simpler way to perform this transformation?

  • Form loop db insertion + javascript altering

    - by MrStatic
    I basically need to check if there is an easier way to do this before I rewrite all the code. I have a fairly large form that I have each input named with []'s on the end so I can loop through via php for easy insertion. <input type="hidden" name="currentdate[]" value="<?php echo date('mdY'); ?>"> <td><input style="width: 50px" type="text" name="jackname[]" /></td> <td><input style="width: 20px" type="text" name="jackkey[]" /></td> <td><input style="width: 50px" type="text" name="jackbeg[]" /></td> <td><input style="width: 50px" type="text" name="jackend[]" /></td> <td><input style="width: 50px" type="text" name="jackbegveh" /></td> <td><input style="width: 50px" type="text" name="jackbegmon[]" /></td> <td><input style="width: 50px" type="text" name="jackendveh" /></td> <td><input style="width: 50px" type="text" name="jackendmon[]" /></td> <td><input style="width: 50px" type="text" name="jacktx" disabled /></td> There are quite a few more fields but you get the idea. "')", $mysql_link) or die(mysql_error()); echo 'Added the info the db! <br />'; } } I use the above to loop through the form and add it to the database. Now for my main question. I also want to add in some javascript to do a little math. Basically ($jackendveh - $jackbegveh) - ($jackendmon - $jackbegmon) and have that displayed in jacktx. Currently the only way I know of adding in the math calculations is to rename each input to a unique name and then rewrite my insert from 1 insert to 8 inserts.

  • Oval collision detection not working properly

    - by William
    So I'm trying to implement a test where a oval can connect with a circle, but it's not working. edist = (float) Math.sqrt(Math.pow((px + ((pwidth/2) )) - (bx + (bsize/2)), 2) + Math.pow(-((py + ((pwidth/2)) ) - (bx + (bsize/2))), 2)); and here is the full code (requires Slick2D): import org.newdawn.slick.AppGameContainer; import org.newdawn.slick.BasicGame; import org.newdawn.slick.Color; import org.newdawn.slick.GameContainer; import org.newdawn.slick.Graphics; import org.newdawn.slick.Input; import org.newdawn.slick.SlickException; public class ColTest extends BasicGame{ float px = 50; float py = 50; float pheight = 50; float pwidth = 50; float bx = 200; float by = 200; float bsize = 200; float edist; float pspeed = 3; Input input; public ColTest() { super("ColTest"); } @Override public void init(GameContainer gc) throws SlickException { } @Override public void update(GameContainer gc, int delta) throws SlickException { input = gc.getInput(); try{ if(input.isKeyDown(Input.KEY_UP)) py-=pspeed; if(input.isKeyDown(Input.KEY_DOWN)) py+=pspeed; if(input.isKeyDown(Input.KEY_LEFT)) px-=pspeed; if(input.isKeyDown(Input.KEY_RIGHT)) px+=pspeed; } catch(Exception e){} } public void render(GameContainer gc, Graphics g) throws SlickException { g.setColor(new Color(255,255,255)); g.drawString("col: " + col(), 10, 10); g.drawString("edist: " + edist + " dist: " + dist, 10, 100); g.fillRect(px, py, pwidth, pheight); g.setColor(new Color(255,0,255)); g.fillOval(px, py, pwidth, pheight); g.setColor(new Color(255,255,255)); g.fillOval(200, 200, 200, 200); } public boolean col(){ edist = (float) Math.sqrt(Math.pow((px + ((pwidth/2) )) - (bx + (bsize/2)), 2) + Math.pow(-((py + ((pwidth/2)) ) - (bx + (bsize/2))), 2)); if(edist <= (bsize/2) + (px + (pwidth/2))) return true; else return false; } public float rotate(float x, float y, float ox, float oy, float a, boolean b) { float dst = (float) Math.sqrt(Math.pow(x-ox,2.0)+ Math.pow(y-oy,2.0)); float oa = (float) Math.atan2(y-oy,x-ox); if(b) return (float) Math.cos(oa + Math.toRadians(a))*dst+ox; else return (float) Math.sin(oa + Math.toRadians(a))*dst+oy; } public static void main(String[] args) throws SlickException { AppGameContainer app = new AppGameContainer( new ColTest() ); app.setShowFPS(false); app.setAlwaysRender(true); app.setTargetFrameRate(60); app.setDisplayMode(800, 600, false); app.start(); } }

  • form_for called in a loop overloads IDs and associates fields and labels incorrectly

    - by Katy Levinson
    Rails likes giving all of my fields the same IDs when they are generated in a loop, and this causes trouble. <% current_user.subscriptions.each do |s| %> <div class="subscription_listing"> <%= link_to_function s.product.name, "toggle_delay(this)"%> in <%= s.calc_time_to_next_arrival %> days. <div class="modify_subscription"> <%= form_for s, :url => change_subscription_path(s) do |f| %> <%= label_tag(:q, "Days to delay:") %> <%= text_field_tag(:query) %> <%= check_box_tag(:always) %> <%= label_tag(:always, "Apply delay to all future orders") %> <%= submit_tag("Change") %> <% end %> <%= link_to 'Destroy', s, :confirm => 'Are you sure?', :method => :delete %> </div> </div> <% end %> Produces <div class="subscription_listing"> <a href="#" onclick="toggle_delay(this); return false;">Pasta</a> in 57 days. <div class="modify_subscription"> <form accept-charset="UTF-8" action="/subscriptions/7/change" class="edit_subscription" id="edit_subscription_7" method="post"><div style="margin:0;padding:0;display:inline"><input name="utf8" type="hidden" value="&#x2713;" /><input name="_method" type="hidden" value="put" /><input name="authenticity_token" type="hidden" value="s5LJffuzmbEMkSrez8b3KLVmDWN/PGmDryXhp25+qc4=" /></div> <label for="q">Days to delay:</label> <input id="query" name="query" type="text" /> <input id="always" name="always" type="checkbox" value="1" /> <label for="always">Apply delay to all future orders</label> <input name="commit" type="submit" value="Change" /> </form> <a href="/subscriptions/7" data-confirm="Are you sure?" data-method="delete" rel="nofollow">Destroy</a> </div> </div> <div class="subscription_listing"> <a href="#" onclick="toggle_delay(this); return false;">Gummy Bears</a> in 57 days. <div class="modify_subscription"> <form accept-charset="UTF-8" action="/subscriptions/8/change" class="edit_subscription" id="edit_subscription_8" method="post"><div style="margin:0;padding:0;display:inline"><input name="utf8" type="hidden" value="&#x2713;" /><input name="_method" type="hidden" value="put" /><input name="authenticity_token" type="hidden" value="s5LJffuzmbEMkSrez8b3KLVmDWN/PGmDryXhp25+qc4=" /></div> <label for="q">Days to delay:</label> <input id="query" name="query" type="text" /> <input id="always" name="always" type="checkbox" value="1" /> <label for="always">Apply delay to all future orders</label> <input name="commit" type="submit" value="Change" /> </form> <a href="/subscriptions/8" data-confirm="Are you sure?" data-method="delete" rel="nofollow">Destroy</a> </div> </div> And that's a problem because now no matter which "Apply delay to all future orders" I select it always very helpfully checks the first box for me. How can I override the ID without doing something ugly and un-rails-like?

Thanks in advance for the help.

  • Javascript auto calculating

    - by Josh
    I have page that automatically calculates a Total by entering digits into the fields or pressing the Plus or Minus buttons. I need to add a second input after the Total that automatically divides the total by 25. Here is the working code with no JavaScript value for the division part of the code: <html> <head> <script language="text/javascript"> function Calc(className){ var elements = document.getElementsByClassName(className); var total = 0; for(var i = 0; i < elements.length; ++i){ total += parseFloat(elements[i].value); } document.form0.total.value = total; } function addone(field) { field.value = Number(field.value) + 1; Calc('add'); } function subtractone(field) { field.value = Number(field.value) - 1; Calc('add'); } </script> </head> <body> <form name="form0" id="form0"> 1: <input type="text" name="box1" id="box1" class="add" value="0" onKeyUp="Calc('add')" onChange="updatesum()" onClick="this.focus();this.select();" /> <input type="button" value=" + " onclick="addone(box1);"> <input type="button" value=" - " onclick="subtractone(box1);"> <br /> 2: <input type="text" name="box2" id="box2" class="add" value="0" onKeyUp="Calc('add')" onClick="this.focus();this.select();" /> <input type="button" value=" + " onclick="addone(box2);"> <input type="button" value=" - " onclick="subtractone(box2);"> <br /> 3: <input type="text" name="box3" id="box3" class="add" value="0" onKeyUp="Calc('add')" onClick="this.focus();this.select();" /> <input type="button" value=" + " onclick="addone(box3);"> <input type="button" value=" - " onclick="subtractone(box3);"> <br /> <br /> Total: <input readonly style="border:0px; font-size:14; color:red;" id="total" name="total"> <br /> Totaly Divided by 25: <input readonly style="border:0px; font-size:14; color:red;" id="divided" name="divided"> </form> </body></html> I have the right details but the formulas I am trying completely break other aspects of the code. I cant figure out how to make the auto adding and auto dividing work at the same time

  • function using cl-who:with-html-output ignoring parameter

    - by shanked
    I'm not sure whether this is an issue with my use of cl-who (specifically with-html-output-to-string and with-html-output) or an issue with my understanding of Common Lisp (as this is my first project using Lisp). I created a function to create form fields: (defun form-field (type name label) (cl-who:with-html-output (*standard-output* nil) (:div :class "field" (:label :for name label) (:input :type type :name name)))) When using this function, ie: (form-field "text" "username" "Username") the parameter label seems to be ignored... the HTML output is: <div class="field"><label for="username"></label> <input type="text" name="username"/></div> instead of the expected output: <div class="field"><label for="username">Username</label> <input type="text" name="username"/></div> If I modify the function and add a print statement: (defun form-field (type name label) (cl-who:with-html-output (*standard-output* nil) (print label) (:div :class "field" (:label :for name label) (:input :type type :name name)))) The "Username" string is successfully output (but still ignored in the HTML)... any ideas what might cause this? Keep in mind, I'm calling this function within a cl-who:with-html-output-to-string for use with hunchentoot.
