• How do I load SciLexer.dll in Visual Studio 2008 Designer, on Windows 7 64-bit?

  We develop a WinForm application using Scintilla.NET (1.7) component, which uses SciLexer.dll (unamnaged). At run-time, we distribute both 32bit and 64bit SciLexer.dll, and we load the correct one when the application starts (everything works fine). On our new development environments (Windows 7 64-bit), all our solutions build and run just fine, but the WinForm visual designer does not load our forms/controls which use Scintilla.NET, because it cannot load the correct SciLexer.dll: Window class name is not valid. at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.WindowClass.RegisterClass() at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.WindowClass.Create(String className, Int32 classStyle) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.CreateHandle(CreateParams cp) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.CreateHandle() at System.Windows.Forms.Control.get_Handle() at Scintilla.ScintillaControl.SendMessageDirect(UInt32 msg, IntPtr wParam, IntPtr lParam) at Scintilla.ScintillaControl.SendMessageDirect(UInt32 msg) at Scintilla.ScintillaControl.get_CodePage() at Scintilla.ScintillaControl..ctor(String sciLexerDllName) at Scintilla.ScintillaControl..ctor() Where does Visual Studio 2008 look for unmanaged libraries? • When debugging on WinCE, how can I set Visual Studio to always load symbol files it knows about?

  I'm debugging a WinCE, C++ program in Visual Studio across an ActiveSync connection. Every time I start the process it fails to load symbol information. However, if I right click on the module and hit 'Load Symbols' it correctly locates the symbol information without any further prompting from me. Is there a way that I can set Visual Studio to either: (a) automatically load this symbol information, or (b) automatically break the process into the debugger once it's loaded (similar to what windbg does)? I'm guessing there's a setting somewhere, but I've yet to find it. Update: I forgot to mention in the original question that I'm not debugging with the instance of Visual Studio that created the exe.

• jQuery .html works but .load causes some weird results.

  Hello, I am currently working on some jQuery - it works perfectly when I uses .html but when I changed the method to .load and attempt to load a page in breaks the jquery on the rest of the page. • Load balancer - how to write one for a custom application?

  Hi! I've written a simple server application which will run distributed on several machines. My question is how does a network load balancer works, in general? I've heard of round-robin and other algorithms, but what I haven't got answer to is how does the process really goes? In socket terms. The client connects to one of the load balancer machines, asks for a "free-to-connect-to" server and simply connects to it? That's the simpliest way I can think of. .. or, does it use the load balancer as a proxy (that implies that all the NBs must be always connected to the application servers, and data is transferred through them)? It's more of a general question. How would you do this? Thank you all!

• How do I decrease first load time in ASP.net MVC 2?

  I have an ASP.net MVC 2 application that runs well locally. However when I move the files to my production server, I get a first time lag of about 30 seconds, I assume this is a first compile. After that the application works fine. Then after about 20-30 minutes of non use, the applications takes another 30 seconds or so to load. I did try to precompile the code, but there is still a lag during the first load. Are there any trick to getting the application to work faster on the first load? I am using ASP.net 3.5, IIS 6 , visual studio 2010, MVC 2. Thanks

  I have two NIB's ParentViewController.xib ChildViewController.xib ParentViewController.xib contains a UIView and a UIViewController. ChildViewController.xib contains a UIButton I want ChildViewController.xib to load in the ParentViewController.xib's UIView I have done the following: Created @property for UIView in ParentViewController Connected File's Owner to UIView in ParentViewController Set UIViewController in ParentViewController's NIB Name property to ChildViewController in Interface Builder Set ChildViewController view property to UIView in ParentViewController I was hoping this would load ChildViewController into my UIView in ParentViewController but no luck. I did get the following warning, which could be the culprit: 'View Controller (Child View)' has both its 'NIB Name' property set and its 'view' outlet connected. This configuration is not supported. I also have added additional code in ParentViewController's viewDidLoad(): - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; ChildViewController *childViewController = [[ChildViewController alloc]initWithNibName:@"ChildViewController" bundle:nil]; childViewController.view = self.myView; } Any thoughts on why ChildViewController does not load in the UIView of ParentViewController?

• How do I get python to load .NET .dlls referenced by mixed mode .dlls?

  I have a python .pyd that is a mixed mode C++ DLL. The DLL loads fine and loads unmanaged C++ dlls without a problem, but when it tries to load the .NET dlls referenced by the managed C++ dlls it fails with this error message: Unhandled Exception: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly '...' Copying these .NET dlls to the directory that pythod_d.exe is contained in allows the .NET libraries to load successfully, but this is not a good long term solution. Is there an environment variable I have to set or some command line option to python_d.exe that will solve my problem? Note that using IronPython or Python .NET is NOT acceptable.

  I want to have an AS3 app load images from url supplied by the user. But I don't want a malicious user to be able to load an SWF file in place of the image, such as with an altered extension "maliciousSwf.png". Well, not sure how big a security threat that is above and beyond the ability of the hacker to decompile swf, but I think that ideally such behavior should not be allowed. So, is there any way to prevent this? When people allow users to load images in their Flash apps, do they somehow guard against loading of SWF? Or is this really absolutely no big deal?

  Currently I have my private key saved in a file, private.key, and I use the following function to load it: RSA *r = PEM_read_RSAPrivateKey("private.key", NULL, NULL, NULL); This works perfectly but I'm not happy with the file-based format; I want to save my key in pure binary form (ie, no base64 or similar) in a char* variable and load/save the key from/to it. This way I have much more freedom: I'll be able to store the key directly into the application const char key[] { 0x01, 0x02, ... };, send it over a network socket, etc. Unfortunately though I haven't found a way to do that. The only way to save and load a key I know of reads/saves it to a file directly.

  Hello, We are receiving an XML file from our client. I want to load the data from this file into a class, but am unsure about which way to go about it. I have an XSD to defining what is expected in the XML file, so therefore i can easily validate the XML file. Can i use the XSD file to load the data into a POCO, using some sort of serialization? The other way i was thinking was to load the xml into a XMLDocument and use XPath to populate each property in my class. Cheers for any advice

Of course, the user should be able to continue browsing the dashboard without problems. How can I do that? I'm using jQuery as my JavaScript framework.

• So I dynamically load a jar at runtime how do I use it?

  So question 194698 shows how to load a jar file at runtime and you can load individual named classes and get a Class object. Now my problem is I want to be able to cast those Classes to the types they really are, but I can't because I can't use an import since the whole point is to load it at runtime rather than compile time. It seems like the way to go is to use reflection to discover the functions and field names, but that seems brittle since the API in the jar files could change and the code won't break until it is run. Is there a better way?

  I have an AJAX call to load a function once the page is loaded, the function opens a lightbox a like frame with some data. The issue is that if I click on close (lightbox frame), the page loads again and again loading the frame so the use never reaches the page under the layer of frame since the frame load on infinite loop.   I've got some XML resources in my Android app. Each one has a different name like "bicycle.xml" and "car.xml". I'd like to know if there's a way to load resources based on conditions during run time. As an example... Say I had a text input in my app. When the user enters "bicycle", my app can look up an XML resource by that name, parse and load it. Whereas if they enter "car", they would end up with the data from the other XML file. I've noticed so far that to load resources, you have to use the autogenerated "R" class, which restricts you to hard-coding resources at compile time.

  Hi all, I already use both .live() and .bind('ajaxComplete') to accomplish certain related tasks, but I have found myself wanting to be able to listen for the 'complete' event of a specific DOM element which will call jQuery's .load() at various times. In this situation I don't want to listen for ALL complete events globally (unless someone can show me how to get the proper target from the event object returned by 'ajaxComplete'). I would like to be able to do something like this: $('.selector').load('url.php',{data:data},function(){ ... }); and then somewhere else, attach a handler to listen and execute some other code whenever that ajax call fires and completes: $('.selector').bind('complete',function(){ ... }); is there any way to do this? or must i always make use of the 'complete' event within the context of the load() method?

  Dsynchronize is a great free tool to sync two folders. I'm using it to sync two solutions checked out from two different TFS Team Collection. I want to exclude the following: All files in bin folder All files in obj folder I tried bin\*; obj\* but it doesn't work. How can I do that? ps. Though, trying *.g.* and *cache* help to exclude the files whose names match with the filter. It seems the filter is applied to the file name only NOT the full path of the file

  Hi, How I can configure the path where the stdout logs are written by the WebLogic server? I've read about -Dweblogic.log.RedirectStdoutToServerLogEnabled=true, but this redirects only part of the output. For example if I will run a thread dump, the output will remain in the original log file. I think it should be an option in nodemanager/startup.properties file. WebLogic version is 10.3.2.0 and I am using a java based node manager. OS is RHEL 5. Thank you, Mircea

Some people use path like \\something\something\something$ I'm don't know if this is correct way or not. but as far as I remember there is a dollar sign. Can any one please tell me. What is this notation? Where can I find more details about this? What is samba server/sharing? I don't understand when people use it. Is it something related to Linux? EDIT I'm a programmer. I guess this file sharing on network using windows uses client server architecture. I want to know what is this server on windows called? What protocol does it use? client is of course our windows explorer.exe? Which service in services.msc is responsible for this?

• How do you change the "scan this dir for additional ini files" path?

  I managed to get the custom INI to load, but its still loading other .ini files from the default location. I created an fcgi wrapper that passed the ini value as a parameter. That worked. Now just these other ini's need to be loaded from the same dir as my custom ini. The problem is the other .ini files are overriding the settings in my custom php.ini =/ I realize the problem now is that the php.fcgi was compiled with a custom path parameter. So that's a problem. I might have to recompile it using a different location or none at all. I'd hate to have to compile an fcgi for each domain =/

• Unable to reach files in subfolder with domain name in path in IIS 5.

  In IIS 5 files in the url: http://acme.com/_cache/cache-www.acme.com/v3.css are not accessible. All files below "cache-www.acme.com" are unreachable. I've verified that the files exists. Permissions are not a problem. I've assigned "Everyone" to the files and give "Everyone" full rights. What I have determined is in IIS 5 if there is a domain in the folder path, IIS 5 gets confused... Other javascript files outside the directory comedown fine... Any thoughts?
