    I have a need to determine if a database on a MS SQL Server has changed between two distinct moments. The change can be structural or data-related and the check should be generic (i.e. independant of the structure of the database). Preferably, I'd like the check to be T-SQL based or with SMOs, not file based. I checked on MSDN but I haven't found anything relevant so far.

I know, like to display first 20 rows we have option like "select top 20 * from employee" but if we need middle rows how to get it in MS SQL specifically.     I'm working with MS Excel interop in C# and I don't understand how this particular line of code works: var excel = new Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.Application(); where Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.Application is an INTERFACE defined as: [Guid("000208D5-0000-0000-C000-000000000046")] [CoClass(typeof(ApplicationClass))] public interface Application : _Application, AppEvents_Event { } I'm thinking that some magic happens when the interface is decorated with a CoClass attribute, but still how is it possible that we can create an instance of an interface with a new keyword? Shouldn't it generate a compile time error?

    I have a debug .exe file that i want to run on other machines that don't have MS Visual Studio 2008 installed on them. How can this be done? The release option doesn't work as the application does not function correctly when build in release (not sure why). At the moment I'm getting a message saying "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect". An ideas? Cheers.

    i have a web application that export CSV and i logged in as admin but what happened during the exportation the IE opens a new tab and export the CSV but what happens next when you click any of the link on the web app you will automatically logout!   • "Ambiguous column name" error on one particular server

    This simple query throws the "Ambiguous column name TaskID" error on one db-server only. This is ridiculous. We tested this with the same database structure on different servers and different versions of ms sql (2005/2008), and it's only THIS particular client's server that throws the error. I'm actually frustrated. SELECT Tasks.TaskID FROM Tasks INNER JOIN TaskHelpers ON TaskHelpers.TaskID = Tasks.TaskID order by TaskID Yes, I know I can put "Tasks.TaskID" into the order by clause, but for some reasons I can't.
