How to add an self defined attribute to ldap user?

Hi, I have created an attribute in LDAP using the following code. attrs.put("NUMERICOID", "1.3.6.1.4.1.42.2.27.4.2.3.1.1.9"); attrs.put("NAME", "myattribute"); attrs.put("DESC", "for JNDITutorial example only"); attrs.put("SYNTAX", "1.3.6.1.4.1.1466.115.121.1.15"); DirContext schema = context.getSchema(""); DirContext newAttr = schema.createSubcontext ("AttributeDefinition/myattribute1", attrs); The attribute is created successfully, Now I am trying to add this attribute to a user say "user1"(uid). Attributes attributeslist = context.getAttributes(ld.getUserDN(username)); attributeslist.put("myattribute1", ""); context.modifyAttributes(ld.getUserDN("test5"), DirContext.REPLACE_ATTRIBUTE, attributeslist); But it gives me object class violation error. Can anyone help me to solve this? I need to add an user defined attribut to the user using java code.

Android; Confused by views?

I have created a class (InputControl) which extends the view of my main class (Main), and takes focus of the screen. I have a button on the main xml layout which calls control() and sets up my InputControl view, from there I capture user input. Wicket app in embedded Jetty causes UnsupportedClassVersionError

I've tried to run a Wicket app in an embedded Jetty, using this code: public static void main( String[] args ){ Server server = new Server(8080); Context root = new Context( server, "/", Context.SESSIONS ); FilterHolder filterHolder = new FilterHolder( new WicketFilter() ); filterHolder.getInitParameters().put("applicationClassName", cz.dw.test.WicketApplication.class.getName() ); root.addFilter( filterHolder, "/*" , Handler.ALL ); try { server.start(); } catch (Exception ex) { ex.printStackTrace(); } } But I got java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: Bad version number in .class file. Switching the target class version for my app (1.6 - 1.5) did not help. I use Sun JDK 1.6.0_17, Wicket 1.4.8, Jetty 6.1.24. I tried to debug, but the JRE classes have no debug data. The stacktrace is of no use as it happens when loading the classes into JVM. Any ideas what could be wrong? How can I find which class is causing this? Thanks, Ondra

Is it possible to destroy a CDI scope?

I'm working on a Java EE application, primarily JAX-RS with a JSF admin console, that uses CDI/Weld for dependency injection with @ApplicationScoped objects. Minor debugging issues aside, CDI has worked beautifully for this project. Now I need some very coarse-grained control over CDI-injected object lifecycles. I need the ability to: Remove an injected object from the application context, or Destroy/delete/clear/reset/remove the entire application context, or Define my own @ScopeType and implementing Context in which I could provide methods to perform one of the two above tasks. I'm fully aware that this is across, if not against, the grain of CDI and dependency injection in general. I just want to know Is this remotely possible? If yes, what is the easiest/simplest/quickest/foolproofiest way to get the job done?

I'd like to execute the task only if the activity that contains the component is visible. Linq issue retrieving single value from mssql

Hey Guys, having an issue with linq, I am basically doing the following but it is saying it is "UserProfile does not contain definition for Username" in the current context where I wrote "u.Username" but it does exist I have added UserProfile table to MyDbml.dbml and if I connect to another table it works fine. TiamoDataContext context = new TiamoDataContext(); var user = (from u in context.UserProfiles where u.Username == UsernameLabel select u).FirstOrDefault(); I am flustered by what small detail I have missed out to get this to work, anyone have any clues it would be much appreciation.

How to observe NSScroller changes?

I have an NSScrollView subclass and I would like to update another NSView based on the current scroll position. Hello, I am attempting to return a image from a server using Silverlight 3. The server returns the Response stream like this: context.Response.ContentType = imageFactory.ContentType imgStream.WriteTo(context.Response.OutputStream) imgStream.Close() context.Response.End() On the Silverlight client I am handling the stream like: Dim request As HttpWebRequest = result.AsyncState Dim response As HttpWebResponse = request.EndGetResponse(result) Dim responseStream As IO.Stream = response.GetResponseStream() I want to take that stream and open the browsers save dialog, one option I have explored is using the Html.Window.Navigate(New Uri("image url")) and this opened the correct browser default dialog but it is not an option because I need to send extended information(e.g. XML) to the server through the HttpRequest.Headers.Item and the Navigate doesn't allow this. How can I take a Response Stream and force the default browser Save dialog to appear from the Silverlight Application without using the Html.Window.Navigate(New Uri("image url"))?

Hey, I've rolled my own custom view and can draw to the screen alright, but what I'd really like to do is set the measuredHeigh of the screen to, say, 1000px and let the user scroll on the Y axis, but I'm having problems doing this. Can anyone help? Error 404 after change filter in web.xml

Avoid Spring ApllicationContext instanciation

I use Spring 3 to make a simple configuration. I have an XML file called PropertyBeans.xml like that : <bean id="propertyBean" class="com.myapp.PropertyBean"> <property name="rootDirLogPath" value="C:\Users\dede" /> </bean> I have the bean which match this XML and then I want to use this bean with the value injected. Actually I have : ApplicationContext context = new ClassPathXmlApplicationContext("AppPropertyBeans.xml"); PropertyBean obj = (PropertyBean) context.getBean("propertyBean"); String rootDirLogPath = obj.getRootDirLogPath(); This works great but I want to know if there's a way to avoid the instantiation of ApplicationContext at each time I want to use a bean. I've heard about BeanFactory is that a good idea? Which are the others solutions? In other words: Am I supposed to called this Application context instanciation in every Controller in spring MVC?

Scoping in embedded groovy scripts

In my app, I use Groovy as a scripting language. To make things easier for my customers, I have a global scope where I define helper classes and constants. Currently, I need to run the script (which builds the global scope) every time a user script is executed: context = setupGroovy(); runScript( context, "global.groovy" ); // Can I avoid doing this step every time? runScript( context, "user.groovy" ); Is there a way to setup this global scope once and just tell the embedded script interpreter: "Look here if you can't find a variable"? That way, I could run the global script once. Note: Security is not an issue here but if you know a way to make sure the user can't modify the global scope, that's an additional plus.

Hi, I'm browsing the source code of StyleCop, and I found a curious thing: /// <summary> /// The namespace that the rule is contained within. /// </summary> private string @namespace; // [...] internal Rule(string name, string @namespace, string checkId, string context, bool warning) : this(name, @namespace, checkId, context, warning, string.Empty, null, true, false) { Param.Ignore(name, @namespace, checkId, context, warning); } What is this thing? Is it just a simple field where at-sign is used to indicate that it is a field, and not a namespace keyword? If so, may at-sign be used for any reserved word (for example @dynamic, @using, etc.)?
