    I have several external USB drives currently (1x500GB and 2x1TB). If I were to purchase the ReadNAS NV+ 4TB NAS, would I be able to: Possibly add even more USB drives to it with a HUB? Export NFS shares of the data on the USB drives keeping the current ext3 fs and data on the USB drives intact? Does anyone have any caveats with this system they feel I should know?

    I'm not a programmer, and/but after multiple email discussions and google searches confirmed the problem I'm describing, and after making changes in picasa preferences with no change in resolution loss (from say, 800kb original image to 235kb after export or upload), I'm at a dead end and thinking the answer may lie among you folks, even though I barely understand the language here.

  • Network Diagramming software options?

    I've used The Dude to map my network, but I can only export the network map as a graphics file. I've also used Dia and Vision to manually diagram portions of my network. Does anyone out there have a solution where I can do automatic network mapping using a tool like "The Dude", then pull that file over to a manually editable format for cleaning up and/or enhancing in Visio or Dia?

    I want to minimize the amount of space my virtual disk is using, by zero'ing out the data on any deleted files. The virtual disk is a VDMK running ubuntu on VirtualBox. What is the best way to find any deleted files, and zero them out, so that when I export the appliance the disk size is only existing files on the disk?

Is there any such plugin or tool? Also link to a relilable print to pdf tool would be helpful.     How can I setup an nginx proxy_pass directive that will also include HTTP Basic authentication information sent to the proxy host? This is an example of the URL I need to proxy to: http://username:[email protected]/export?uuid=1234567890 The end goal is to allow 1 server present files from another server (the one we're proxying to) without exposing the URI of the proxy server. I have this working 90% correct now from following the Nginx config found here: http://kovyrin.net/2010/07/24/nginx-fu-x-accel-redirect-remote/ I just need to add in the HTTP Basic authentication to send to the proxy server

  • Cinema4D XML scene not rendering texture

    I exported a basic Cinema4D scene as XML (File Export Cinema 4D XML) then opened up the xml in Cinema4D and it looses the reference to the texture applied. If I open up the original c4d file and render it I can see my texture applied. If I open up the exported xml file and render it the texture is missing. Any way to get around that ?

  • Server 2003 SP2 BSOD caused by fltmgr.sys

    I'm running into a problem where a Server 2003 SP2 box has started crashing roughly once an hour, BSODing out with the message that fltmgr.sys is probably the cause. I ran dumpchk.exe on the memory.dmp file, indicating the same thing. Any thoughts on typical root causes?   • Open "play" button links on last.fm in SweetFM

    I use SweetFM on my Mac (running OS X Leopard) to play (and export) last.fm music. But I find it annoying I have to look at the station on the website (in Safari 4) and enter it in manually in SweetFM. How can I make it so the little "play" buttons () will open in SweetFM instead of in Safari?

It'll be for simple things like a database of my DVD collection and I'd want to be able to import/export using standard file formats and add/edit fields of existing databses.   • Explode all folders

    Ive got a folder with about a hundred sub folders and again each ones of those has between 10 and 20 sub folders, so all in all a pretty large folder tree. Is there a simple way i can explode or export all of the files in the tree to a new folder which will just be one folder contain the files (no folders, no trees). Im running OSX 10.8, although ive also got Parallels so if there is a windows solution i could just run that as its not something i need to do everyday.

  • Dynamics CRM 2011 report view can't be changed?

    I am trying to create a report for our CRM system but I am finding that I cannot change the page settings for it. If I export it to Excel I can tinker around with the results but I would rather that I change the actual report than have users manually change it. While I want this changed I don't want to have to add some third-party software to do this. That said does anyone have any suggestions on how to accomplish this?

    I'm using the EXPORT feature in Hyper-V to move a large Virtual Machine (VM) over a 1GB network from a Windows 2008 to a Windows 2008 R2 box (200GB) and its so intense that I get the following icon on my destination Hyper-V manager: Is this expected? Is there another way to get large file across the network and minimize this intense I/O effect? Anyones else ever seen that Do Not Enter sign? The other VMs are functional but slow, but I'm guessing that is expected.

    Is there any way to export a Microsoft SQL Server database to an sql script? I'm looking for something which behaves similarly to mysqldump, taking a database name, and producing a single script which will recreate all the tables, stored procedures, reinsert all the data etc. I've seen http://vyaskn.tripod.com/code.htm#inserts, but I ideally want something to recreate everything (not just the data) which works in a single step to produce the final script.

  • 'less' doesn't clear screen after quit

    The default behavior for 'less' is to clear the screen after quitting. This behavior stopped when I started using: export TERM=xterm Now 'less' leaves the last page I viewed on the screen, and I want to re-enable the default behavior of clearing the screen. Googling this problem I found that people use the following command in their ~/.screenrc: altscreen on I'm not sure if this is a mac-issue but I don't have this command available. I'm using bash shell on Mac terminal. Thanks!
