• Magento, NGINX, PHP-FPM, APC, MEMCACHED, 16gb Ram CentOS, Spiking PHP-FPM to 100% CPU

  I have been trying to resolve my issue of spiking cpu caused by php-fpm processes. I've reduced the php-fpm config settings to: pm = ondemand pm.max_children = 12 pm.start_servers = 2 pm.min_spare_servers = 2 pm.max_spare_servers = 10 pm.max_requests = 500 php_admin_value[memory_limit] = 128M Problem still exists. I'm running a Joomla main site (which is having no problems) and a Magento store in a sub-directory. My server is a Linux CentOS, running NGINX, APC, Memcached, Full Page Cache and php-fpm. My server has 8 cores and 16gb dedicated ram. My host has shut down my server several times the past week because my php-fpm processes are consuming the entire network. A lot of the individual php-fpm processes are getting over 50% cpu. I've hired several "professionals" and none of them was able to help me, so now broke and stumped, I'm turning to you guys for help. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. the server is not using much memory: Mem: 16777216k total, 1204040k used, 15573176k free My.conf settings: query_cache_size = 128M innodb_buffer_pool_size = 512M open-files-limit = 8192 table_cache=4096 I just noticed that someone changed my innodb_buffer_pool_size to 512M. Shouldn't this be set to 80% of available ram? So I have 16gb ram so it should be set at 12G; however, I set it at 10G. What do you think? I made that change and restart everything. Php-fpm is still spiking cpu. • How can I successfully dechiper Instruments Messages for iPhone Leak

  Hi, I have a memory leak in my app. (This is the first of many I'm sure :() I've being trying to use Instruments to find it. Instruments gives me a lot of information but I think I must just not know how to use this information. What I did so far was 1) Run the app with Instruments 2) Memory Leak Occurs named general -stack 16 3) Find general - stack 16 in the object allocations part of instruments 4) The information here says the event type is a malloc, that webcore is responsible and the something named WKSetCurrentGraphicContext is the responsible caller. How can I use this given information to discover where in my code the leak is being caused? • Google App Engine - Secure Cookies

  I'd been searching for a way to do cookie based authentication/sessions in Google App Engine because I don't like the idea of memcache based sessions, and I also don't like the idea of forcing users to create google accounts just to use a website. I stumbled across someone's posting that mentioned some signed cookie functions from the Tornado framework and it looks like what I need. What I have in mind is storing a user's id in a tamper proof cookie, and maybe using a decorator for the request handlers to test the authentication status of the user, and as a side benefit the user id will be available to the request handler for datastore work and such. The concept would be similar to forms authentication in ASP.NET. This code comes from the web.py module of the Tornado framework. According to the docstrings, it "Signs and timestamps a cookie so it cannot be forged" and "Returns the given signed cookie if it validates, or None." I've tried to use it in an App Engine Project, but I don't understand the nuances of trying to get these methods to work in the context of the request handler. Can someone show me the right way to do this without losing the functionality that the FriendFeed developers put into it? Reference finalizer threads will inherit thread local values. But the mail quota usage keeps increasing. Remember, this works fine in one application, but not in other.   Hello, I'm developing an app where TableView needs to reload as soon as the login process gets completed. The app crashes with error EXC_BAD_ACCESS when the table data gets reloaded. It doesn't crash when I remove all case instances except case 0: What could be the reason behind it?   I have a custom UITableViewCell with a custom layout. I wanted a gradient background, so in my UITableViewDelegate cellForRowAtIndexPath: method, I create a CAGradientLayer and add it to the cell's layer with insertSubLayer:atIndex: (using index 0). This works just fine except for two things: Most importantly, I can't figure out how to change to a different gradient color when the row is highlighted. I have tried a couple things, but I'm just not familiar enough with the framework to get it working. Where would be the ideal place to put that code, inside the table delegate or the cell itself? Also, there's a 1px white space in between each cell in the table. I have a background color on the main view, a background color on the table, and a background color on the cell. Is there some kind of padding or spacer by default in a UITableView?

I am doing it like this. CustomCellBackgroundView *custView = [[CustomCellBackgroundView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0,0,320,44)]; [cell setBackgroundView:custView]; [custView release]; and doing this gives me transparent cell. I tried and fought with code but could get any results. Please help me out. I am really having no idea how this code will run.

  Hi, I keep getting this error when I run my web app (asp.net mvc) in the mobile safari (ITouch) JavaScript Error line 1 SyntaxError: Parse error JavaScript Error line 1 SyntaxError: Parse error I have no problem running this in any other browser (including safari). I suspect this is something to do with mobile safari handling javascript files. I am using MicrosoftMvcAjax.js and Jquery. The above error is totally useless to me and I couldn't figure out where to debug or start. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

  I am trying to dynamically display an image that I am storing in the google datastore as a Blob. I am not getting any errors but I am getting a broken image on the page that I view. Any help would be awesome!
