    Silverlight does not support Alternating Item Templates in an ItemsControl. I have a few ideas in mind as to how to accomplish this, but to avoid polluting the potential answers, I'll leave them out. If you had to design a method of providing alternating templates (and I mean a full data template) for an ItemsControl, how would you accomplish this.

    When doing null checks in Java code, and you throw IllegalArgumentExceptions for null values, what kind of message template do you use? We tend to use something like this public User getUser(String username){ if (username == null){ throw new IllegalArgumentException("username is null"); } // ... } What is better : "is null" or "was null", and why? For me "is null" feels more natural.

    I'm developing a Visual Studio Integration Package. When I try to run the Unit Tests that are included in the unit test project that is included in the template I get the following failure on the first test: The test adapter 'VsIdeHostAdapter' threw an exception while running test 'MenuItemCallback'. Call was rejected by callee. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80010001 (RPC_E_CALL_REJECTED)) It's intermittent- a new instance of Visual Studio always spins up, then sometimes it works but usually fails.

Wnen i create new SL project and choose ASP.NET Web Site web project type all is ok, at my browser I see default template. But when I choose ASP.NET Web application, at running I get blank browser screen with js error: "Unhandled Error in Silverlight Application Code: 2104 Category: InitializeError Message: Could not download the Silverlight application.     I'm having difficulty getting XQuery to work. I downloaded Saxon-HE 9.2. It seems to only want to work with XSLT. When I type: java -jar saxon9he.jar I get back usage information for XSLT. When I use the command syntax for XQuery, it doesn't recognize the parameters (like -q), and gives XSLT usage information.     I have created a custom Treeview control and am trying to access the HierarchicalDataTemplate resource of this control from another window in the same project. I have placed <ResourceDictionary Source="/Controls/TreeView/Themes/Generic.xaml"/> into my App.xaml file. Everytime I run, I get an error saying that it can not find the resource key "scene" - the name of the HierarchicalDataTemplate from my custom control. How can I access this template? Thanks

    After the recent update in xcode I seem to have lost all the template for cocoa touch and iphone templates. Under Cocoa Touch Classes in the new file dialog, I only have 3 choices: Objective-C class Objective-C test case class and UIViewController subclass where did the others go? UITableView, UInavigation etc.? I am running xcode 3.1.3. Thanks!

Every banner file is under app/public/banners/. I tried many ways, like: render :file => "/banners/somebanner.html" But it can't locate the file, because rails looks under app/views. Any Ideas ?   • Why does Visual Studio 2010 throw this error with Boost 1.42.0?

    I'm trying to recompile application, that compiles fine with warning level 4 in visual studio 2005 and visual studio 2008. Since the errors (look below) are coming from std:tr1, I'm thinking there's some conflict, but not sure how to fix. My first thought was to remove all references to boost, such as but then I get an error that it can't find format method.
