• Show multiple calendars in overlay view by default

  In MS Outlook 2007/2010, it's possible to show multiple calendars overlayed on each other (a la Google Calendar; see http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/view-calendars-side-by-side-or-overlaid-HA001230157.aspx#BM4). However, it appears that in order to do this, you must first open the calendars side-by-side and then press the little left-arrow button to "combine" them into an overlaid view. Is there a way to make "overlaid" the default view for multiple calendars (again, a la Google Calendar)?

• Scrum for Team System v3 RTM available

  If you are using the Scrum for Team System (aka Conchango Scrum Template), it has hit RTM and it is available for download.  First you will need to register and then you will ne able to access the goods. There is also a very well laid out Getting Started with v3 guide, put together by Crispin Parker. Note:  Very important to know and consider, is the fact there is no upgrade or migration strategy laid out from v2.2.  So you are left to your own devices on that one.  There are plenty of discussions going on as far as making it happen.  Don’t get me wrong v2.2 work items will be present and you will be able to use them, just don’t expect the v3 template to trigger when  adding new work items. For now, get TFS in place, install the template and start fresh.  The Workbench should be released soon too, and that makes it a great component to this solution.

• saving excel files to file paths or directories with special characters

  I am unable to get excel 2010 beta to save to a directory which contains square brackets. I have to save elsewhere and copy in. Is there any workaround? Was this a problem with older versions? I realize that I could manually change the directory names, but I didn't want to forgo a long standing organization scheme for the sake of one program if possible to avoid the problem.

  I have the Windows Phone 7.1 SDK on my computer with Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate. I have developped an application but when I want to start it in emulator, it takes about 2 hours to load it, and it's just the O/S! The application isn't started! • Excel File Names not Displayed

  Problem: When excel windows are minimised, I can't see the file name, all I get is a rather unhelpful 'Microsoft Excel' proceeded by the file name. I have the taskbar docked on the left, and have second monitor that I use about 50% of the time, but can't work out what is causing the problem, or a setting that I can change that will remove the appended software name at the beginning of the file. • Best way to export powerpoint slides into pngs with different resoltuions?

  I am trying to convert powerpoint slides into a png. I know that there are several ways that allow to do this by allowing for changing the resolution (e.g., within powerpoint by changing the registry, or using pdf printers as proposed here and here). However, always changing the registry is cumbersome and using the pdf printer (bullzip printer and pdfforge) is not working as expected. Does anyone know of easy, free and reliable way to export powerpoint (2010) slides into png pictures while allowing to easily change the resoltuion?

  I am running Outlook 2010 connected to an Exchange 2003 server. Often times, the spam that I received is sent to "undisclosed-recipients". I'm guessing that's because my email address (or an email address for a group I am part of) is in the BCC field. Is there a way to find out what BCC address was used to reach me? That is exactly what I want, but when I follow the instructions I only end up creating a formulate in a single cell - not the whole column. I don't want to use "Fill" or "Copy" because the number or rows in the sheet changes periodically and maintaining the formulas would be very tedious.

When I try and connect to an advantage database through the server explorer using the Advanatage OLEDB driver I get a cannot discover advantage database server error. I can connect to the database using the ARC just fine. I was able to connect in VS 2008 just fine. Any ideas on why I can't connect in VS 2010?
