  I come across the same problem over and over. I working on computer that is remote and it is missing graphics card drivers. Just has some default drivers that have limited resolution. I would like to install program that will read the chipset on graphics card and tell me the values so I can go on manufacturer website and download the appropriate drivers. Windows 7 or Windows XP application would do, if you know about any.

• Why is my computer using so much ram?

  I have 16gb of ram installed in my computer, and nearly 70% of it is used at all times. Looking at the processes in task manager the memory being used with everything in there doesn't even add up to 2gb. I have RAPID mode enabled on my ssd which may be using 2gb at most so I would understand that.   Hello, I'm looking for a way to make the popup toolbar menus on Windows XP's taskbar stay in place while you edit it, and only close when you tell it to--by clicking outside it, for example. Right now it disappears after each editing action--such as renaming a file or changing its position on the menu, and you have to click the again to pop the menu back up to do more editing.   i'm having a very strange problem: i'm running win7 64bit on my laptop - i hooked an external HD via usb3. when saving something in certain applications (eg. notepad), the file dialog pops up then the whole system is freezing .. like applications won't react anymore, also taskmanager, so i can't terminate anything. i think it's the external HD which is powering down after a while. anyone who knows this problem and can tell me how to fix it? thanks

  I have just installed the Xubuntu 10.04. But the display seems to be latency. When I try to copy a big file from usb disk to hard disk, the CPU is 100% used. So I doubt that some device drivers are missing. I can use lspci to show the PCI devices on my machine, but how could I tell whether proper drivers have been installed or not? Many thanks.

  Is there a way to tell winscp to keep the group and permission of my upload file? I am tired of modifying webpages/webapp binaries and needing to change the group to www-data so the server can read them. If not what app might i use instead? In order to figure out who it was sent to, I forwarded it to the same address (hotmail account) and received a reply that there was no such address.   I do a lot of PowerPoint (2007) presentations, and some of those involve some rather complex diagrams that I like to build step by step, using PowerPoint's animation feature. I prefer using the "fade in" style, but I find the default medium speed setting too low, so every time I'm adding an element to my animation, I have to go to the Speed dropdown box and select "Very fast". This is getting annoying, so I wonder if there is a way to tell PowerPoint that I'd like my standard animation speed (at least for fade-ins) to be "very fast"?
