  • Java: I've created a list of word objects to include the name and the frequency, but having trouble

    - by adam08
    Hi Everyone, I'm working on a project which has a dictionary of words and I'm extracting them and adding them to an ArrayList as word objects. I have a class called Word as below. What I'm wondering is how do I access these word objects to update the frequency? As part of this project, I need to only have one unique word, and increase the frequency of that word by the number of occurrences in the dictionary. Word(String word) { this.word = word; this.freq = 0; } public String getWord() { return word; } public int getFreq() { return freq; } public void setFreq() { freq = freq + 1; } This is how I am adding the word objects to the ArrayList...I think it's ok? String pattern = "[^a-zA-Z\\s]"; String strippedString = line.replaceAll(pattern, ""); line = strippedString.toLowerCase(); StringTokenizer st = new StringTokenizer(line); while (st.hasMoreTokens()) { String newWord = st.nextToken(); word.add(new Word(newWord)); count++; }

  • question about a macro in Linux Kernel List implementation

    - by holydiver
I generally have ignored using macros while writing in C but I think I know fundamentals about them. While i was reading the source code of list in linux kernel, i saw something like that: #define LIST_HEAD_INIT(name) { &(name), &(name) } #define LIST_HEAD(name) \ struct list_head name = LIST_HEAD_INIT(name) (You can access the remaining part of the code from here.) I didn't understand the function of ampersands(I don't think they are the address of operands here) in LIST_HEAD_INIT and so the use of LIST_HEAD_INIT in the code. I'd appreciate if someone can enlighten me.

  • How to pull the file name from a url using javascript/jquery?

    - by jim23
A certain variable might contain a relative path or an absolute path. Either way, I need to be able to pull the filename from the variable: http://www.somesite.com/dir1/dir2/filename.gif /dir1/dir2/filename.gif The directory structure is also arbitrary. So basically given either of the url's above (with arbirtrary directory structure) I need to pull 'filename.gif'. Thanks in advance

  • What are possible suffixes after variable name in VBA?

    - by archimed7592
    As I've already figured out, there is at least six of them: !@#$%&. Here is snip: Dim A!, B@, C#, D$, E%, F& Debug.Print "A! - " & TypeName(A) Debug.Print "B@ - " & TypeName(B) Debug.Print "C# - " & TypeName(C) Debug.Print "D$ - " & TypeName(D) Debug.Print "E% - " & TypeName(E) Debug.Print "F& - " & TypeName(F) Outputs A! - Single B@ - Currency C# - Double D$ - String E% - Integer F& - Long Where is documentation on this syntax sugar? What other possible suffixes are there? Is there one for Date?

  • Add a custom class name to Wordpress body tag?

    - by Scott B
I'd like to place a directive in my theme's functions.php file which appends a classname to the wordpress body tag. Is there a built-in API method for this? For example, my body tag code is... <body <?php if(function_exists("body_class") && !is_404()){body_class();} else echo 'class="page default"'?>> And it results in the following being written to the body tag (depending on the context in which the page is presented (page, post, logged-in, etc) <body class="home blog logged-in"> Depending on the child theme I'm using at the time, I want it to be... <body class="home blog logged-in mychildthemename">

    - by mahendraliya
I am trying to open a file in "w" mode with "open()" function in python. The filename is : ?????.jpg. The open function fails with this filename but succeeds with normal files. How can I open a file with names which are not in English in python? My code is as follows: try: filename = urllib.quote(filename.encode('utf-8')) destination = open(filename, 'w') yield("<br>Obtained the file reference") except: yield("<br>Error while opening the file") I always get "Error while opening the file" for non-english filenames. Thanks in advance.

  • Specified argument was out of the range of valid values. Parameter name: utcDate

    - by Rob
Our logs show hundreds of these errors after our deployment if users are on the site. Anyone know what this means and how to fix it? Notes: We are using msdeploy, IIS 6 I recently noticed that our web server's time is about 10 minutes behind the real time, I think that may have something to do with it. If I log into our site, seems like any file that depends on a WebResource or ScriptResource type file doesn't look right. Seems to fix itself after an IIS reset

  • Lambda "if" statement?

    - by AndyC
I have 2 objects, both of which I want to convert to dictionarys. I use toDictionary<(). The lambda expression for one object to get the key is (i = i.name). For the other, it's (i = i.inner.name). In the second one, i.name doesn't exist. i.inner.name ALWAYS exists if i.name doesn't. Is there a lambda expression I can use to combine these two? Basically to read as: "if i.name exists then set id to i.name, else set id to i.inner.name". Many thanks.

  • QuickBuild: How can I create a builder to open a tarball package (tar.gz) whose name will change wit

    - by Jin Kim
I'm using PMEase QuickBuild to perform automated builds of our Maven2 projects and a nightly sanity test to ensure nothing is broken. The test needs to untar packages which are created by the automated Maven2 projects. The problem is that the package names change frequently due to project versions being incremented all the time. Does anyone know how I can configure QuickBuild to pick up the version (ideally from the POM file of the individual components), if this is possible at all?
