  I am a Software Developer mostly on Windows System. I have been tasked to create an App Program for an RF Barcode Scanner. Which I don't have any experience in this kind of software. I am open to learn new Programming Languages to develop the software for this barcode scanner. From which I see on our meeting. It uses Windows or Windows Mobile as OS. Can someone direct me to a tut site or just tell me what language I should use? Requirements is mostly, Log In, UI Entry of Details + Barcode, Process Button. Connection To SQL Server via Wifi Access Point to call the procedure afterwards. I am not developing a Barcode scanner, I am developing a UI Software like a Mobile App. I tried to google but I dont know what exact keywords I should search for. My question is, what PL is mostly used to develop this kind of softwares.

  First When i downloaded java from official website i got confused how to install it. den i searched it on software center and i got it. but wen i install it, it starts but instantly stops and the line highlighting the installation status in progress tab doesn't move forward.den i searched on internet and tried installing it by terminal but he terminal says that u have to first configure something that i dont know but it tells me to run this command-"sudo dpkg-configure -a" and when i run this command the terminal process stops in the middle and even after leaving it for about an hour it doesn't proceed further.. after that when i press the close button of the terminal if shows that some tasks are in progress and closing the terminal would...bla bla bla... so i am greatly confused because even other software's like gimp image editor and all are not getting installed.. please help me..!!

• Couldnt find a way to open blender software

  I am new to Ubuntu. I downloaded the latest version of Blender (2.70a) from official blender.org site as an tar.bz2 file. My Ubuntu OS is 14.04 LTS amd64 bit os, and I am sure that I have downloaded the correct version of blender. I have read that for security reasons, Ubuntu does not allow executing exe files. Since the downloaded package contains blender as an executable/x-executable type, it is not able to execute. I do not have an internet connection in that computer too. Also the "Allow executing file as program" checkbox is checked by default. Still double clicking it does not execute the file. Can anyone say how to open this file? P.S: Wine also checked but requires active internet connection, which I dont have.

  My apologies if it is not a code problem. However, it is a problem that concerns programming. As a recently graduated Computer Systems Engineering I have gained some basic knowledge with programming using JAVA. I have realised 2 things, the first one is that I realy liked programming and the second is that I am not good at all. More specifically, I struggle on problem solving and when i face complex tasks I feel lost. Every day , I spend some quality time doing simple exercises in order to be more familiar with JAVA. My target is to become a good programmer and find a job on a software company. I am afraid maybe " I dont have it" thats why I am asking you , what should I do? Should i give up? • Unity Gone, have tried everything 12.04

  Hello I have checked a few forums and tried much of the advice given, however nothing has worked so far. I dont know how it happened but when I boot up, I get the login screen to select user and once I select my user and input pw my screen displays my background inage but never loads cairo dock or the unity sidebar. I have tried unity --reset from tty1 and get asked if im actually trying to do a reset from a tty. I have also tried ctrl+ alt + T after logging in to get a terminal and tried to open ccsm to restart unity from there and that has not worked either. Any ideas?.....Thank You in advance for any help you can offer. Darrin

I know you can use the clock() function to get cpu time, and multiply it by CLOCKS_PER_SEC to get actual time, but I'm told the clock() function is not well suited for this.   Here is the situation. I have hexagonal board,and a unit on it,with speed or move value 4.Diffrent terrain has a diffrent cost.When i click on the unit,game should show me a move range. My solution was to check each hex in range of 4,with A* pathfinding,and if path cost was less than 4 then this hex was in range.Finally game nicely show me range of that unit. My question is: Is there other solution to search for range on hex grids or square grid,because even if i am really proud of what i did in my solution,i think,it is a little to exaggerated?:)) What make me ask this question?I noticed that when unit speed is 4 or 6 or even 8,time to computing range for my computer was really good,but when speed was 10 and more i noticed that i needed to wait few second to compute.Well in real games i rather dont see something like this and my A* pathfinding is rather well optimized,so im thinking that my solution is wrong.   I cant access the desktop because my harddrive is corrupted. Therefore I want to make a bootable USB stick so i can transfer all of my important files to my External HD. Problem is that Im stuck on Step 3 --- http://www.ubuntu.com/download/help/create-a-usb-stick-on-mac-osx . Im not sure of what i should change this to: hdiutil convert -format UDRW -o ~/path/to/target.img ~/path/to/ubuntu.iso It says convert failed - No such file or directory. Obviously the problem is that i dont know the path to the USB, maybe you know how to find out? Please help me. Thanks. ps. Ive downloaded the ubuntu desktop amd64+mac.

I have a very very little exprience with C++ and my question is where to start?
