  • Suggestions for jQuery-based Date/Time Selector

    Hi everyone, I'm in search for a jQuery-based Date/Time Selector. I have found a few that are quite nice, but one of my requirements is that I can provide a json/xml/etc source of available days/times and the control should only allow selections of available days/times. Is anyone aware of a plugin that does this, or at least a plugin that could be modified to do this? Thanks!

    I use a GridView to display the records from the database. Also i've attached a Hyperlink to the GridView using TemplateField. When I try to add "onclick" attribute to the HyperLink inside the RowDateBound event, I get the following error.. GridView1.DataKeys[e.Row.RowIndex].Value = 'GridView1.DataKeys[e.Row.RowIndex]' threw an exception of type 'System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException' Message = "Index was out of range. Im guessing hte addlead.pl is just a posting page with no response.

  • Slow Response in checkbox using JQuery

    Hi to all. I'm trying to optimize a website. The flow is i tried to query a certain table and all of its data entry in a page(w/ toolbars), work fine. When i tried to edit the page the problem is when i click the checkbox button i have to wait 2-5sec just by clicking it. I limit the viewing of entry to 5 only but the response on checkbox doesn't change.     So I put in in-place editing for one of my models. One of the attributes is PRICE. I used the to_currency method to format the value before it is displayed. The problem I'm having is that with the in-place editor, I just can't figure out how to set a custom display value. I'm trying to get the price to display as $20.00 until it is clicked, but the in place editor displays 20.0..

  • How do I force a Coldfusion cfc to output numeric data over JSON as a string?

    I'm calling a Coldfusion component (cfc) using jQuery.post(). I need an integer or string representation of the number returned for use in a URL. {"PAGE":"My Page Title","ID":19382} or {"PAGE":"My Page Title","ID":"19382"} Instead what I get back is a decimal: {"PAGE":"My Page Title","ID":19382.0} Needed to update the following HTML: <a href="page.cfm?id=19382" id="pagelink">My Page Title</a> Conceptually, I suppose there are multiple answers: 1) I could use jQuery to grab the number left of the decimal point. 2) I could force Coldfusion to send the number as a string. 3) I could generate the whole link server side and just replace the whole link tag HTML (not the preferred answer, but maybe it is the best) Does anyone know how to do 1 or 2? Is 3 better?     I'm looking at implementing a live voting system on my website. The website provides a live stream, and I'd like to be able to prompt viewers to select an answer during a vote initiated by the caster. I can understand how to store the data in a mySQL database, and how to process the answers. However: How would I initially start the vote on the client-side and display it? Should a script be running every few seconds on the page, checking another page to see if a question is available for the user? Are there any existing examples of a real-time polling system such as what I'm looking at implementing?

How to solve that?

    i have a problem with a http post call in firefox. I know that when there are a cross origin, firefox first do a OPTIONS before the POST to know the access-control-allow headers. With this code i dont have any problem: Net.requestSpeech.prototype.post = function(url, data) { if(this.xhr != null) { this.xhr.open("POST", url); this.xhr.onreadystatechange = Net.requestSpeech.eventFunction; this.xhr.setRequestHeader("Content-Type", "application/json; charset=utf-8"); this.xhr.send(data); } } I test this code with a simple html that invokes this function. Everything is ok and i have the response of the OPTIONS and POST, and i process the response. But, i'm trying to integrate this code with an existen application with uses jquery (i dont know if this is a problem), when the send(data) executes in this case, the browser (firefox) do the same, first do a OPTION request, but in this case dont receive the response of the server and puts this message in console: [18:48:13.529] OPTIONS http://localhost:8111/ [undefined 31ms] Undefined... the undefined is because dont receive the response, but the code is the same, i dont know why in this case the option dont receive the response, someone have an idea? i debug my server app and the OPTIONS arrive ok to the server, but it seems like the browser dont wait to the response. edit more later: ok i think that the problem is when i run with a simple html with a SCRIPT tag that invokes the method who do the request run ok, but in this app that dont receive the response, i have a form that do a onsubmit event, i think that the submit event returns very fast and the browser dont have time to get the OPTIONS request. edit more later later: WTF, i resolve the problem make the POST request to sync: this.xhr.open("POST", url, false); The submit reponse very quickly and can't wait to the OPTION response of the browser, any idea to this?

  • Refresh Div with Jquery at fixed time

    I've got a php script that tells me when the next bus is due, and at the moment I'm refreshing this into a div, using jquery, every minute or so. Now, because I know the time at which the data will change (after the bus has come), I want it to refresh the div at this time (or just after, doesn't really matter). I should point out that I'm fairly new to js, but this is what I've got so far: var nextbustime = $('#bus').contents(); var nextbustime = new Date(nextbustime); var now = new Date(); var t = nextbustime.getTime() - now.getTime(); var refreshId = setTimeout(function() { $('#bus').fadeOut("slow").load('modules/bus.php?randval='+ Math.random()).fadeIn("slow"); }, t); The div is loaded originally with a php include. Naturally, what I've done doesn't work at all. Do I need some loops going on? Do I need to refresh the time calculator? Please please help! Thanks in advance...

    I'm trying to build a player for a radio station that automatically updates the current song from an XML file, the problem is that I don't want it to update the UI (updateSongIMG) unless the song has actually changed. I have a hidden div called settings_songid that stores the song id and it should check that against a value in the XML file, if its different, then it should update it.     Hi all, I'm trying to achieve two things, both of which I fail to get at. On a server are a series of notes; all contain a div (id=ajxContent). Some notes also contain an additiona div (id=ajxHead). The ajxContent itself contains links (class=clicking) to call the next installment, hence the link destination in a variable. This is my code: $(document).ready(function(){ $( 'a.clicking' ).live('click', function(e){ e.preventDefault(); var theLink = $(this).attr('href'); $('#loadText').load(theLink + '#ajxContent'); $('h1').load(theLink + '#ajxHead'); }); }) Where it fails: 1) the ajxContent gets loaded into the h1 tag as well as in its intended target. 2) when I had set up the code differently, if there was no div id=ajxHead present in a note, the load would nevertheless erase the existing value in the h1 tag. Am I on a totally wrong track here, with two load statements? Input is very welcome, thanks.

    I have 3 different images and now I want to create an sprite using css so that I am reducing HTTP Request. I am totally new to this concept and have not idea as to how to approach this. Can anyone suggest me what would be best bet for me ? Also I have seen there are some CSS Sprite generator engines where in you submit .zip folder containing your images and than they would combine it. I tried doing that but did not understood of what was happening and so any guidance regarding creating and using CSS sprites would be highly appreciated. Update: I have gone through the AList Part but it was not very clear to me. Can anyone explain the use case of CSS Sprites using an example ? Thanks.

    I am developing an application by using phonegap and jQuery Mobile. Phonegap recommends a single document structure. As 5 divs or more in a document are pretty unclear, I'm trying to split up my pages (the div's) into multiple documents. But it isn't. There are no errors shown in the web inspector. So what am I doing wrong here?
