  • css Checkbox Label Selector

    - by HW90
I'm developing a MVC3 application and need to select the checkboxes label. In ASP MVC3 you have helper methods which creat a part of the code. So the code for a checkbox looks like this: <input id="Jumping_successleicht" type="checkbox" value="true" name="Jumping_successleicht"> <input type="hidden" value="false" name="Jumping_successleicht"> <label for="Jumping_successleicht"> <span>leicht (4)</span> </label> Now I've thought I can use following code to select the label: input[type=checkbox] + label { background: url("../../Images/Controls/Checkbox.png") no-repeat scroll left center transparent; clear: none; cursor: pointer; margin: 0; padding: 5px 0 4px 24px; } But it does not work. It looks like label and input have to be next to each other. Does any ony have a solution how to solve this problem?

  • Slow Response in checkbox using JQuery

    - by Dean
    Hi to all. I'm trying to optimize a website. The flow is i tried to query a certain table and all of its data entry in a page(w/ toolbars), work fine. When i tried to edit the page the problem is when i click the checkbox button i have to wait 2-5sec just by clicking it. I limit the viewing of entry to 5 only but the response on checkbox doesn't change. The tables have 100 entries in them. function checkAccess(celDiv,id) { var celValue = $(celDiv).html(); if (celValue==1) $(celDiv).html("<input type='checkbox' value='"+$(celDiv).html()+"' checked disabled>") else $(celDiv).html("<input type='checkbox' value='"+$(celDiv).html()+"' disabled>") $(celDiv).click ( function() { $('input',this).each( function(){ tr_idx = $('#detFlex1 tbody tr').index($(this).parent().parent().parent()); td_idx = $('#detFlex1 tbody tr:eq('+tr_idx+') td').index($(this).parent().parent()); td_last = 13; for(var td=td_idx+1; td<=td_last;td++) { if ($(this).attr('checked') == true) { df[0].rows[tr_idx].cell[td_idx] = 1;//index[1] = Full Access if (td_idx==3) { df[0].rows[tr_idx].cell[td] = 1; } df[0].rows[tr_idx].cell[2] = 1; if (td_idx > 3) { df[0].rows[tr_idx].cell[2] = 1; } } else { df[0].rows[tr_idx].cell[td_idx] = 0;//index[0] = With Access if (td_idx==2) { df[0].rows[tr_idx].cell[td] = 0; } else if (td_idx==3) { df[0].rows[tr_idx].cell[td] = 0; } if (td_idx > 3) { df[0].rows[tr_idx].cell[3] = 0; } } } $('#detFlex1').flexAddData(df[0]); $('.toolbar a[title=Edit Item]').trigger('click'); }); } ); } I've thought that the problem is this above code. Could anyone help me simplify this code.?

  • Works on emulator but not on device

    - by Klaus
Hello Community, I have an inner handler class that calls the method sendMessage. sendMessige is outside the handler class, but inside the conatining Android java class. On the emulator (AVD 2.2) it works fine, but on my Android 2.2 device the method sendMessage is not called at all. Inner handler class: private Handler handler2 = new Handler() { public void handleMessage(Message msg) { if (GeoSetting.equals("s") && (inNumber.equals(definedNumber))) **SendService.this.sendMessage(definedNumber, DisplayLoc)**; if (GeoSetting.equals("a")) **SendService.this.sendMessage(inNumber, DisplayLoc)**; stopService(new Intent(getApplicationContext(), GeoService.class)); }; The method that should be called: private void sendMessage(String sendNumber, String sendText){ Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(), "done!!!", Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show(); SmsManager sms = SmsManager.getDefault(); try { sms.sendTextMessage(sendNumber, null, sendText, null, null); if (Message == true) {Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(), "Sending SMS to "+sendNumber+": "+sendText, Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show();} } catch (Exception exeption){ Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(), "Something is wrong, could not send SMS!", Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show(); } Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(), "method called!", Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show(); } Does anybody have an idea why sendMessage is not called on the real device? Thank you for the help!

  • jqGrid tableToGrid "options" parameter

    - by Jimbo
Basics Hi all, I have see the tableToGrid method (by Peter Romianowski) defined as tableToGrid(selector, options) on the jqGrid wiki, but cannot find anywhere that has documentation of the options Does anyone know about these or where to find them? More What Im actually trying to do is encase the resulting jqGrid in a form, which will submit the checkbox values that are in a column of the table. My problem is that the tableToGrid method appears to be removing the name property from the checkbox elements and hence they are not being submitted with the form post.

  • How to sync an Android phone with anything other than Google?

    - by Francisco Canedo
As I understand, the Android phone can only sync with Google (GMail, Google Calendar, etc.) out of the box. I can imagine corporate users having a problem with their data residing on Google's servers — despite their "do no evil" credo. Is there any Android application that lets you sync with the desktop (either Linux or Windows) or corporate server applications (think Exchange)?

  • How to use bluetooth keyboard with both Android and WIndows 8?

    - by mathStudent
I purchased this Logitech bluetooth keyboard which, according to the specifications on the page, can switch between both Android and Windows 8 devices. I haven't figured out how to do this. Is a specific type of bluetooth USB adapter required? And even assuming I had the necessary USB adapter, what commands must be executed (on the keyboard, Android, or Windows 8 machines) for the bluetooth keyboard to switch between devices?

  • Custom Buttons in Android: How to get border/edge/frame when I read the background from xml?

    - by Anna
Hi, Using Android Shapes in xml I have defined a gradient which I use as the background for a button. This all works nice, but there's no edge surrounding the button. I would like it to look similar to the normal Android button but I need more flexibility to control the color and look. The shape is defined as follows: I would expect the border to be set in the xml. Why doesn't "stroke" fix it? Stroke doesn't seem to do anything. I checked the Android Developer spec, but couldn't find the answer there: http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/resources/drawable-resource.html I have also looked through all the properties of the Android Button, but as expected there's no such parameter, probably since it's built into the normal Android button. Btw, I checked ImageButton properties too. Can someone please help? I know there's the alternative to make an image with proper edges and use an ImageButton, but there really should be a way to fix this programmatically. Thanks! Anna

  • Android page Curl animation

    - by Meymann
Hi... Two questions: Is there a simple way to do the Curl page flipping animation? A Curl animation is animation of pages flipping, including the page above rolling and the shadows over the lower page. What is the recommended way to do a "gallery" that displays two pages at a time (just like a book)? Is it: Letting the adapter display a linear layout of two images at a time? (it won't let me show a page flipping over the other like a book) Using two pages, placing somehow one near the other, and then when it's time to animate -move the next two pages over? What is the better way that would enable displaying the left page flipping over the right page? Thanks Meymann

  • Android ListView setSelection() does not seem to work.

    - by alkar
I have a ListActivity that implements onListItemClick() and calls a doSomething() function of the class. The latter contains l.setSelection(position) where l is the ListView object. Now there is a onClickListener() listening for a button click that perfoms some actions and that too calls doSomething(). In the first case, the selected item get positioned appropriately, but in the latter, nothing happens. Any clues about this strange behaviour and how I might make it work?

  • Null Validation on EditText box in Alert Dialog - Android

    - by LordSnoutimus
Hi, I am trying to add some text validation to an edit text field located within an alert dialog box. It prompts a user to enter in a name. I want to add some validation so that if what they have entered is blank or null, it does not do anything apart from creating a Toast saying error. So far I have: AlertDialog.Builder alert = new AlertDialog.Builder(this); alert.setTitle("Record New Track"); alert.setMessage("Please Name Your Track:"); // Set an EditText view to get user input final EditText trackName = new EditText(this); alert.setView(trackName); alert.setPositiveButton("Ok", new DialogInterface.OnClickListener() { public void onClick(DialogInterface dialog, int whichButton) { String textString = trackName.getText().toString(); // Converts the value of getText to a string. if (textString != null && textString.trim().length() ==0) { Context context = getApplicationContext(); CharSequence error = "Please enter a track name" + textString; int duration = Toast.LENGTH_LONG; Toast toast = Toast.makeText(context, error, duration); toast.show(); } else { SQLiteDatabase db = waypoints.getWritableDatabase(); ContentValues trackvalues = new ContentValues(); trackvalues.put(TRACK_NAME, textString); trackvalues.put(TRACK_START_TIME,tracktimeidentifier ); insertid=db.insertOrThrow(TRACK_TABLE_NAME, null, trackvalues); } But this just closes the Alert Dialog and then displays the Toast. I want the Alert Dialog to still be on the screen. Thanks
