  • Problems with Twitter on Android App

    I'm trying to show one public twitter profile in one WebView of my app, is not necessary to login twitter, in the MotoDev Simulator this works fine, but in the physical device don't work, this: "403 fobiden limite exceed rate" error appears, this is the simple code line that I'm using: webView.loadUrl("https://mobile.twitter.com/#!/asambleaecuador"); and works fine into de MotoDev simulator AVD ....can somebody helpme please!!!   • A space-efficient filesystem for grow-as-needed virtual disks ?

    A common practice is to use non-preallocated virtual disks. Since they only grow as needed, it makes them perfect for fast backup, overallocation and creation speed. Since file systems are usually based on physical disks they have the tendency to use the whole area available1 in order to increase the speed2 or reliability3. I'm searching a filesystem that does the exact opposite : try to touch the minimum blocks need by an aggressive block reuse. I would happily trade some performance for space usage. There is already a similar question, but it is rather general. I have very specific goal : space-efficiency. 1. Like page caching uses all the free physical memory 2. Canonical example : online defragmentation 3. Canonical example : snapshotting

    When I click my app's icon on the desktop,the splashactivity will first run, then it start the loginactivity before it finished. I click the loginbutton to login.the I came to the mainactivity.Then I click the HomeKey to goto the Android Home. At this time ,I click the app's icon again, the splashactivity start firstly. Why the mainactivity can't be recover? Othewirse,when I click the HomeKey at loginactivity ,the app can skip the splashactivity and recover the loginactivity.Thanks.

  • Android Thumbnail Loading Problem

    I'm using a thumbnail loader in my project the one mentioned below. The problem is that the it loads all the thumbnails properly except the ones who's size is of about 40K. When our back end is giving that sort of thumbnails are not generated and sometimes this eventually leads to a Crash too.   • How to trouble 9-patch image in android

    Hi, I have an ImageView in my layout xml file. I set the width to wrap_content and height to fill_parent. In hierarchy viewer, the width is 2 px and height is 120 px. But when i see it on device, my 9-patch image for the image view does not stretch to 120 px. Can you please tell me how can I trouble shoot this 9 patch image does not stretch error? Thank you.

  • I would like to burn a file to a virtual dvd.

    Hi, a program I am using tracks down my diskdrives and offers to write a dvd image to them. I would like to be able to write this image on HD in stead of on disk, but I have no option to browse the file system. Therefore I would like a virtual dvd disk, that is in fact a folder, but that is recognized by the app. as a real, empty dvd. I have tried MagicDisk, but it doesn't seem to offer the ability to couple an emulated disk drive to a folder...

  • Deploying virtual machines - Windows Guest/Linux Host or vice versa?

    I'm looking to deploy several virtual machines for users. They need access to both Windows and Linux. They also need to use the computers graphics card (for Photoshop, modeling, etc) under Windows. My question is, will an Ubuntu host/Windows guest or a Windows host/Ubuntu guest be faster? I'm somewhat worried about Windows getting a cluttered registry and slow, but on the otherhand, a Windows host would have direct access to hardware (Unless I'm just unaware of how to grant hardware access to a guest). Does the choice of software (VMware or VirtualBox) effect the choice?

    I would like to run a few repeated checks on a setup procedure I am documenting, to verify my document. I would like to somehow create a VM that replicates the environment on my machine, i.e. the host machine, onto a guest VM. Then I can use Windows' System Restore on the guest to start at the point before I commenced the setup procedure and repeat it as many times as required until no more trial-and-error etc. is required to supplement my document. I have Virtual PC and VirtualBox available to install as host environments, running on Windows 7 Professional.

There are things that Google has done to speed up the declarative approach, but you still do have the layout inflation step done at runtime.
