    Hello, i have an php/mysql/ajax auction application application. Now there is a section that can have 3 states. State one, the user can place a bid.(Bid button is shown) State two, the user has to wait before he can place a new bid(number of sec is shown) State three, the user has an auto bidding system enabled.(The price maximum and amount ate shown). Now i get these values trough jquery ajax, and i want to present the user the right section. I was wondering if there is an easier method to accomplish such a thing. Speed is a huge issue for me because this has to run every second in the users browser. It periodically takes screenshots to the specified area. When you start recording, it hides (decativates) the window. On a Mac, when you give an application focus, any hidden windows will activate. In my class WListener (which I have confirmed to work), I have: public void windowActivated(WindowEvent e) { if(ScreenRecorder.recordingThread != null) { ScreenRecorder.recordingThread.endThread(); } } So what SHOULD happen is, the screenshot-taking thread stops when he clicks on the application. However, I must be brutally screwing something up, because when the thread is running, it won't even let the window reappear. This is my first thread, so I expected a weird problem like this.     phpFox should take care of user login management, add user and edit user. But would like to automatically create a corresponding Wordpress account when user signs up for phpFox. And when user logs into phpFox user is auto logged into Wordpress so user doesn't really even realize Wordpress login or user account exists. What would be the best way to do this? Apps will be on the same server so could make native calls or use curl.

    With reflection, you can look up a class from a string at run time, but you can also say typeof(Foo) and get compile time type checking, auto completion etc. If what you want is a field not a class, you can look it up from a string at runtime, but if you want compile time type checking etc., is there anyway to say something like fieldof(Foo.Bar)? I know the name of both the class and the field in advance, and I want to be able to refer to the field at compile time rather than with a run-time string lookup.
