    im making an image button like this: <input type="image" src="red.jpeg" width="150px"> but it is displaying the original image size which is much larger, if i put: <img src="red.jpeg" width="150px"> it displays the image 150px wide as i want, what do you guys think is the problem with this? I have tried styling it with a class and CSS but not working either, please help me with this, im going nuts!!

    Hello, How can I programmatically retrieve the current connection type (eg. LAN or Direct connection). InternetGetConnectedState(&ConTypeRet, 0) isn't very reliable. For instance, I'm connected to a wireless network, but ConTypeRet is 18 which is INTERNET_CONNECTION_LAN & INTERNET_RAS_INSTALLED. Isn't there anyway to make sure that ConTypeRet is either INTERNET_CONNECTION_LAN or INTERNET_CONNECTION_MODEM

I mean this looks like plain old C, but in Objective-C I would write @"hwsr" if I wanted to make it a string. I want to pass such an "constant" or "enum thing" as argument to an method.

    Hello I want to use XQuery on a column of data type NTEXT (I have no choice!). I have tried converting the column to XML using CONVERT but it gives the error: Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'CONVERT'.     So, I'm using URL routing with WebForms. I run locally through the Visual Studio web server, and everything is hunky-dory. I deploy locally to IIS (XP, so it's IIS5), and therefore I need to make sure that I have my app wildcard mapped so the URL routing is handled properly. However, doing this makes all my PageMethods fail with this message: The HTTP verb POST used to access path is not allowed Something like /default.aspx/SendMessage does not work. I've seen solutions that exclude .svx and .asmx files, however, since this is a page method, this is a .aspx file. I know the solution is to move these files outside of .aspx, however, I have quite a few functions throughout the site in these various files. I guess I could create a single web service, and have all the functions there, however, I'm curious if there's a quick and easy way to fix this? Thanks all, -Steve

    I am sending a $.Ajax POST to a MVC Controller function with parameters and returning a JasonResult successfully. What I need to happen is that the current View be returned (as if it was not a JSON request and I was returning the Viewdata). The Viewdata has been updated and the page needs to be redrawn. In short, I want the MVC Action to respond back to the $Ajax request correctly, and then have the page redrawn using the updated Viewdata. Hope this makes sense, coming down with a bad cold.

    We have a SQL Server 2005 SP2 machine running a large number of databases, all of which contain full-text catalogs. Whenever we try to drop one of these databases or rebuild a full-text index, the drop or rebuild process hangs indefinitely with a MSSEARCH wait type. The process can’t be killed, and a server reboot is required to get things running again. Based on a Microsoft forums post[1], it appears that the problem might be an improperly removed full-text catalog. Can anyone recommend a way to determine which catalog is causing the problem, without having to remove all of them? [1] [http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2681739&SiteID=1] “Yes we did have full text catalogues in the database, but since I had disabled full text search for the database, and disabled msftesql, I didn't suspect them. I got however an article from Microsoft support, showing me how I could test for catalogues not properly removed. So I discovered that there still existed an old catalogue, which I ,after and only after re-enabling full text search, were able to delete, since then my backup has worked”

    I have to set up an XML "web service" that receives a POST where the 'Content-type header will specify “text/xml”.' What is the simplest way to get the XML into an XDocument for access by VB.NET's axis queries? I don't believe the web service is guaranteed to follow any protocol (e.g. SOAP, etc); just specific tags and sub-tags for various requests, and it will use Basic Authentication, so I will have to process the headers. (If it matters: * the live version will use HTTPS, and * the response will also be XML.)
