  • Sharepoint web part stops working because of Resources.en-US.resx file

    I've been developing a Sharepoint web part, which had been working fine upon deployment. The web part has been developed with WSP Builder, packaged up and then deployed via stsadm. The web part has been deployed tens, if not a hundred times to the dev box with no problems. Now, the web part throws an error which breaks the page it's on: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.   • How do I get the scalaz IDEA live templates working for the symbolic methods?

    Many of the methods in scalaz have symbolic equivalents, such as forever and 8 (of course, I have this the wrong way round, the symbolic methods really have ASCII equivalents). The project contains a live templates XML file for IDEA so these can be auto-completed, I believe by using the forever+TAB shortcut (in the above instance). I can't figure out how to import this live template into IDEA and actually use it, though. How can I do that?

How do I force WPF to render the text that gets displayed with drop shadow effect to retain Cleartype anti-aliasing, instead of that ugly blurry gray sub-pixel anti-aliasing? Some believe it's blurry because of the drop shadow -- this is not true. It's blurry only because ClearType is not used. This is how it looks like in Firefox when shadow AND ClearType: ClearType enabled text is colorful -- but that blurry text is not, because it does not use ClearType -- it uses gray sub-pixel anti-aliasing and that's not how ClearType works: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ClearType The question is: how do I enable ClearType for this text?

  • Can't get data with spaces into the database from Ajax POST request

    I have a real simple form with a textbox and a button, and my goal is to have an asynchronous request (jQuery: $.ajax) send the text to the server (PHP/mysql a la Joomla) so that it can be added to a database table. Here's the javascript that is sending the data from the client: var value= $('#myvalue').val(); $.ajax( { type: "POST", url: "/administrator/index.php", data: { option: "com_mycomponent", task: "enterValue", thevalue: value, format: "raw"}, dataType: "text", success: reportSavedValue } ); The problem arises when the user enters text with a space in it. The $_POST variable that I receive has all the spaces stripped out, so that if the user enters "This string has spaces", the server gets the value "Thisstringhasspaces". I have been googling around, and have found lots of references that I need to use encodeURIComponent. So I have tried it, but now the value that I get from $_POST is "This20string20has20spaces". So it appears to be encoding it the way I would expect, only to have the percent signs stripped instead of the spaces, and leaving the hex numbers. I'm really confused. It seems that this sort of question is asked and answered everywhere on the web, and everywhere encodeURIComponent is hailed as the silver bullet. But apparently I'm fighting a different breed of lycanthrope. Does anyone have any suggestions?

For a little bit I thought a grid was the new thing and the best, now it appears I am wrong after all and not sure of best practice. And, yes, I can write my own CSS but didn't want to create the infrastructure if I didn't have to.

However, I can't figure out how to address only one specific cell. -dataCellForRow of NSTableColumn always changes the template cell for the whole table column. How can I access one single cell?

    I am taking an XML document and creating a word document using XSLT and OpenXML. The problem is that when I create the word document, all of the HTML that is within the CDATA tags are not escaped and look like this: GET /recipe/recipe/cat.php/&gt;&quot;&gt;&lt;script&gt;alert(document.domain)&lt;/script&gt; I have tried defining "cdata-section-elements" in my xsl:output; however I receive an error stating that p tag doesn't match the w:t tag.(the p tag is apart of the CDATA HTML). When I create a new post in it and view it, the link is something like this: "http://localhost/wordpress/product/a-product-title" This page views as expected but when I try to go to the supposed parent page: "http://localhost/wordpress/product/" I get a 404 error page. Is there a special template I need to make to view this page? Thanks
