    I have an application I am building using the Play Framework. I would like this application to authenticate users using Open ID and Active Directory. Is this possible? Please excuse my ignorance as I am not a J2EE expert but come from a deep knowledge of the .Net framework and some experience writing Java applications. Any guidance would be much appreciated.     I'm trying to add a custom sort method to the Issue.rb model in Redmine from the redmine_task_board plugin. My commit on github I don't know if this is a lack of knowledge about Rails plugins on my part or something specific I have to do with Redmine. Redmine 0.8.6.stable I want this method so that when I show the Task Board show method from tasks_board_controller I can sort the tickets in each column by Issue.priority.position.     In my other ask You can see code of my arr structure and PriorityQueue collection. I normally add items to this collection like that: arr.PriorityQueue.Add(new element((value(item, endPoint) + value(startPoint, item)),item)); I am curious that is other way to do this (add element(which is struct) object to List) ? In lambda way for example ? I just eager for knowledge :)

    I'm looking for an explanation of how a hashtable works - in plain English for a simpleton like me! For example I know it takes the key, calculates the hash (how?) and then performs some kind of modulo to work out where it lies in the array that the value is stored, but that's where my knowledge stops. Could anyone clarify the process. Edit: I'm not looking specifically about how hashcodes are calculated, but a general overview of how a hashtable works.

  • Should a Stack have a maximum size?

    I'm practicing my knowledge of ADTs by implementing some data structures, even if most already exist. With Stacks, a lot of books and other documentation I've read talk about the stack throwing an error when you try to add an element but the stack is full. In a java implementation (or any other), should I specifically keep track of a maximum stack size (from constructor), check to see if that size is reached, and throw an overflow exception if it is? Or is not such a big deal?

    My program requires at least Linux 2.6.26 (I use timerfd and some other Linux-specific features). I have an general idea how to write this macro but I don't have enough knowledge about writing test macros for Autoconf. Algorithm: Run "uname --release" and store output Parse output and subtract Linux version number (MAJOR.MINOR.MICRO) Compare version I don't know how to run command, store output and parse it. Maybe such macro already exists and it's available (I haven't found any)?

  • Are there any well known algorithms to detect the presence of names?

    For example, given a string: "Bob went fishing with his friend Jim Smith." Bob and Jim Smith are both names, but bob and smith are both words. Weren't for them being uppercase, there would be less indication of this outside of our knowledge of the sentence. Without doing grammar analysis, are there any well known algorithms for detecting the presence of names, at least Western names?
