  • How to configure apache and mod_proxy_ajp in order to forward ssl client certificate

    Hi, I've developed a java application that need a ssl client certificate and in the staging environment with apache 2.2 and mod_jk it is working fine. In production the configuration is not using mod_jk but mod_proxy_ajp. I'm looking for an apache configuration example that configure ssl and mod_proxy_ajp for sending the ssl client certificate to the java application server (which listens with the ajp protocol).   • Word 2007 - Pasted Text Not Spellchecked??

    My Word 2007 spell-check seems to work fine, except that when I paste in text from somewhere else, it won't detect any misspellings in that pasted text...no matter what I try. If it makes any difference, when I paste in text, the formatting is preserved (size color etc). I've tried doing a past-special and trying the different options there, but it's still bringing the formatting over. Any ideas on what to try?

  • gvim Cannot make changes, 'modifiable' is off issues with file explorer.

    In gvim using netrw(the file explorer), I usually middle click a file to open it in the last active window. This just leads to an error stating "Cannot make changes, 'modifiable' is off". Another middle click, and the file opens fine where I expect it to. All buffers are saved, there's no uncommuted changes anywhere. What causes this, and what can I do about it ?   • Which keymap to use for wired mac keyboard in Gentoo Linux?

    I just purchase the new wired mac keyboard: Running on Gentoo Linux it works mostly fine. The only problem i am having is the function keys and swapping the alt and command keys to resemble a regular pc keyboard. When I tried switching to the "mac-us" keymap in /etc/conf.d/keymaps I got garbage when typing (not even qwerty). Is there any specific keymap that I can use to get what I want?

    We have just changed our DNS record to point to a new server running IIS. How long will it take until the address is changed to the new server? Some people can still see the old server and some can see the new. I have flushed the dns on my pc and it seems to be fine although it doesn't with another of my pcs. Thanks

  • Debian + ProFTPD + LDAP Incorrect Password Issue

    I have the LDAP configuration configured for ProFTPD and I have modified the modules.conf file to include the LDAP module. However, every time I login with FileZilla I get 530 Login Incorrect. It does this for all users except those whose passwords are defined locally as well as in LDAP. The exact same setup works fine on my CentOS server and I've already tried re-installing it after purging the configuration files.

    Hi Folks, Basically I have my domain howcode.com bought at DomainMonster.com. I have set it all up to point to MediaTemple nameservers and everything works - mostly - fine. I have registered an email address [email protected]. The setup is, I presume, working correctly. I can successfully send emails with the account. And I presume I can receive them - but the problem is, nobody can send them to me. Emailing from a regular, non-Googlemail account appears to work fine but it never arrives in the inbox. But when you email from a GoogleMail address, an error message is instantly returned saying this: Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently: [email protected] Technical details of permanent failure: Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain.   • Mac OS X web server memory depletion issues

    I have a Mac mini ram 4GB setup as a web server which has low traffic - it is running single WordPress instance and a forum. Why is available memory dropping to ~20MB after a while, bringing the whole server down? I see httpd processes climbing more and more, and the only thing I can do is to restart the server and everything will work fine again. Anybody with the same issues to share their thought about this?

Socket is still /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock (only changing datadir in my.cnf) Now, all data in /var/lib/mysql has been copied to /home/lib/mysql MySQL has been started and everything is fine. Now time to cleaning up data in /var/lib/mysql but I'm not sure what data can and cannot be removed in /var/lib/mysql this is data (except database name) in /var/lib/mysql: ibdata1 ib_logfile0 ib_logfile1 mysql

  • Problem with authentication of users via IE when using "host header value"

    Hi, I'm trying to set multiple web sites up in an IIS 6. I've got a working virtual site residing under the default web site, but if I create a new web site in the IIS and asign it a host header value, let it point to the very same file structure as in the prevoiusly mentioned site and finally asign windows integrated security only to the site - I still cannot log in to the new site using MSIE 6 or 8 but FF 3.5 works fine.   • Can't ping devices by IP address for devices allocated IPs by DHCP

    I have a home network with a Trendnet wireless router and a Windows Domain. The Domain Controller/DNS server is a Windows 2000 Server and is configured to forward queries to DNS servers provided by the ISP. The router provides DHCP and is configured with the Windows 2000 Server as the DNS server. The network has been set up for a couple of years and usually works fine. When I connect iPhones to the network over WiFi, the router can ping the iPhones through its browser based admin interface, but Windows machines that are part of the Windows Domain cannot. A laptop was connected to the network over WiFi that wasn't joined to the domain and it could see the iPhones. The router UI shows that the laptop has a reserved IP allocated via DHCP. All machines either have a static or DHCP allocated IP on the 192.168.0.* subnet. Router - 192.168.0.1 - Static - Wired Windows Domain Controller - 192.168.0.8 - Static - Virtual Windows 7 Workstation - 192.168.0.200 - DHCP Auto - Wired VMWare ESXi Host - 192.168.0.201 - Static? - Wired iPhone 1 - 192.168.0.202 - DHCP Auto - WiFi iPhone 2 - 192.168.0.203 - DHCP Auto - WiFi Windows Vista Laptop - 192.168.0.204 - DHCP Reserved - WiFi Using the Windows 7 machine (200), I try to ping each machine and the only DHCP machine that responds is itself. The other DHCP machines fail with Reply from 192.168.0.200: Destination host unreachable.. Using nslookup fails with *** domain.controller.name can't find 192.168.0.203: Non-existent domain. Using the Windows 2000 Domain Controller (8), I try to ping each machine and the only DHCP machine that responds is the Windows 7 machine (200). Pinging the other DHCP machines fails with Request timed out.. Using nslookup also fails with *** domain.controller.name can't find 192.168.0.203: Non-existent domain. Using the iPhone 2 (203), I try to ping (Network Ping Lite) the machines with static IP addresses and that works fine. When I try to ping the Windows 7 machine (200) it is unable to get a response. How do I configure the DNS server/Windows Domain/Router properly so that the Windows Domain machines can see the IPs allocated via DHCP?

One of the limitations of G-Mail is that there's no concept of nested labels - which is fine when I'm using the account through the web interface but when I'm using Thunderbird I would like a bit more organization. Is there a way for Thunderbird to locally remap an imap folder's path? Now if I setup john.app.example.com, then that also is displaying the web page of app.example.com, the DocumentRoot for john.app.example.com is different, still it shows the web page of app.example.com. how can I resolve this, so john.app.example.com displays the pages that are there in its DocumentRoot.

  • vsftpd: ECONNREFUSED with "allow_writeable_chroot=YES"

    When setting up vsftpd I am trapped. When I leave the ftpuser's home directory without write permission I can login and all is fine despite the fact, that I cannot write (of course). When I add write permission I get something like cannot change to directory with write permissions if user is chrooted Then I added allow_writeable_chroot=YES to vsftpd.conf. But now I get ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server I am lost. What am I doing wrong?

  • White lines appear right in the middle of my Dell XPS M1210 screen

    My Dell XPSM1210 has developed these weird lines right in the middle of the screen. When I connect an external monitor the lines disappear and the display is fine. I would like to know if this is a problem with the screen panel and if it needs replacement is there a place where I could buy one. This laptop is not under warranty so I'm willing to get the screen replaced. Thanks in advance!
