  Current Situation: I'm doing a simple MVC site for keeping journals as a personal project. My concern is I'm trying to keep the interaction between the pages and the classes simplistic. Where I run into issues is the password field. The problem arises that in the code below book.password is always null, I'm pretty sure this is because of the custom setter. • XNA 4.0: 2D Camera Y and X are going in wrong direction

My problem is that I am trying to create a camera class and have it so that my camera follows the proper RHS, however the Y axis seems to be inverted since on the screen the 0 starts at the top.   We have two Windows 2008 R2 SP1 servers running in a SQL failover cluster. On one of them we are getting the following events in the security log every 30 seconds. The parts that are blank are actually blank. Has anyone seen similar issues, or assist in tracking down the cause of these events? No other event logs show anything relevant that I can tell. • Error in eclipse on run android project

  I am trying to get a simple hello world android project working in eclipse using an android emulator. I have been using the examples on developer.android.com. I actually did have a hello world app working. I then modified it's xml files to have a text input field and a button as in the second example shows on that site. This failed to run on the emulator. I then went back and tried to create another simple hello world project, but it fails to run. The console says "Waiting for HOME ('android.process.acore') to be launched, but nothing happens or sometimes a messenger in the emulator says "unfortunately Android Wear has stopped". Below is a sample error filter on the log file. I find trying to debug this is something new to me and I am not sure the best way to go about it. • WinXP: Error 1167 -- Device (LPT1) not connected

  I am writing a program that opens LPT1 and writes a value to it. The WriteFile function is returning an error code of 1167, "The device is not connected". The Device Manager shows that LPT1 is present. I have a cable connected between a development board and the PC. The cable converts JTAG pin signals to signals on the parallel port. Power is applied and the cable is connected between the development board and the PC. The development board is powered on.   I am getting this error while trying to create a connection pool, on my Oracle database, Oracle 10gR2. java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1 ORA-12705: Cannot access NLS data files or invalid environment specified I am able to connect to the database over sqlplus & iSQLPlus client, but when I try to connect using this Java program, I get this error just when the connection pool is to be initialised and it does not initialise the connection pool. Can someone please help me resolving it? P.S. 1.cmd is simply a batch of these commands: certutil -? | findstr /i ping set PROMPT=$P($t)$G certutil -ping certutil -pingadmin set PROMPT=$P$G EDIT1 I have succeeded to pin down the single windows API that causes the problem - DsGetDcName According to the windbg, the certutil -ping invokes it like so: PDOMAIN_CONTROLLER_INFO pdci; DWORD ret = ::DsGetDcName(NULL, NULL, NULL, NULL, DS_DIRECTORY_SERVICE_PREFERRED, &pdci); On my workstation it times out for 30 seconds and then returns error code 1355, which is ERROR_NO_SUCH_DOMAIN No domain controller is available for the specified domain or the domain does not exist. On another machine, which is accidentally a windows server 2003, it returns almost immediately with the correct domain controller name inside the returned DOMAIN_CONTROLLER_INFO structure. Now the question is what is missing on my workstation for that API to find the correct domain controller?

• Unicenter Software Delivery 4 not able to connect to MS SQL 2000 Database after W2003 SP2 upgrade

  Hello Everyone Yesterday I installed the Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 on a Windows Server 2003 which has Unicenter Software Delivery 4 installed. Prior to the installation I disabled every CA service on the server (Brightstor, SDO , RCO, TNG) and the MS SQL 2000 service. After the installation of the SP2 I enabled the services again but the Unicenter Service is not able to connect to the MS SQL 2000 Database anymore. The database itself is up and running and I can connect to it with the Enterprise Manager. A dbcc checkdb doesnt return any errors on the Unicenter database.   I had an old laptop running Mac OS X 10.4 with macports for web development: Apache 2, PHP 5.3.2, Mysql 5, etc. I got a new laptop running Mac OS X 10.6 and installed macports. I installed the same web development apps: Apache 2, PHP 5.3.2, Mysql 5, etc. All versions the same as my old laptop. A Mediawiki site (version 1.15) was copied over from my old system (via the Migration Assistant). Having a fresh Mysql setup, I dumped my old database and imported it on the new system. • MSDeploy - possible to call setAcl on multiple destinations in one go?

  I'm building a nice little continuous integration environment for our development team, based on TeamCity. It's working rather nicely, as it can build a mix of .NET and PHP projects, and push them to our internal and external platforms. I'm primarily using MsDeploy to push everything to the internal platform, as that's all IIS based. However, there's a number of builds where I need to set directory permissions on the destination directory. I can use the setAcl operator just fine, but that only seems to take a single destination as an argument. Therefore, if I need to alter the permissions on 5 destination directories, I need to call MsDeploy 5 times, which seems a lot of overhead. Is there a sensible way around this? Reading the documentation, I don't think MsDeploy takes more than a single argument for the setAcl operator, but could be wrong. Is there a better way for a build server to set multiple directory permissions in one go?

• Mysql master-master not replicating

  I'm setting up a master-master mysql replication on two servers (db1 and db2). I started with setting up db2 as a slave to db1 and that works fine. But when I set up db1 as a slave to db2 it isn't replicating. On the face of it everything looks fine but the data isn't replicating. There are no errors in either of the error logs. The slave status is updating the bin log position. I have used mysqlbinlog to examine both the binlog on the db2 and the relay log on db1 and all of the queries are going in there, but not being executed to db1. "show slave status" on both servers shows that both the slave io and sql threads are "Yes" and that the relay log position is updated by the sql thread. • Webserver max CPU when apache and MYSQL are ran together

  This website has been running fine without issues, Recently it went down. After some investigation it looks like the combo of MYSQL and Apache bring the box to its knees. Apache can run find serving static web pages and MYSQL can run fine when the website isn't working. As soon as the website is enabled with SQL running the CPU on the box remains at 100%. • Extremely high mysqld CPU usage with no active queries

  I have a VPS running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS with LEMP stack, followed the guide from Linode Library (since I'm using a Linode) to setup, and everything worked fine until now. I don't know what's wrong, but my CPU usage just goes up since a week ago. Today things getting really bad - I got 74% CPU usage so I went check and found that mysqld taking too much CPU usage (somewhere around 30% ~ 80%) So I did some Google Search, tried disable InnoDB, restart mysql, reset ntp / system clock (Isn't this bug supposed to happen more than a year ago?!) and reboot my VPS, nothing helped. Even with mysql processlist empty, I still get mysqld CPU usage very high. I don't know what I missed and have totally no idea, any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. • IPv6 working fine, IPv4 throws OpenSSL error

  I am building a webserver ( http://blog.linformatronics.nl/ ), which functions just fine on both IPv4 and IPv6 and when using a non-SSL connection. However when I connect to it through https, IPv6 works as expected, but an IPv4 connection throws a client side error. Server side logs are empty for the IPv4/https connection. Summarized in a table: | http | https -----+-------+------------------------------------------------------- IPv4 | works | OpenSSL error, failed. No server side logging. -----+-------+------------------------------------------------------- IPv6 | works | self signed certificate warning, but works as expected Apparently the SSL tunnel isn't even set up, which accounts for the Apache logs being empty. But why does it work fine for IPv6 and fail for IPv4? My question is why is this OpenSSL error being thrown and how can I solve it? Below is some extra information about the setup. • Losing Windows Authentication intermittently

  I'm running a website on IIS6 / Server 2003 which uses Integrated Windows Authentication on a local intranet. I can browse to the site but get intermittent "Object null" errors when calling the following C# code which is called on every request: .... GetUserIdFromPrincipal(User) .... public static string GetUserIdFromPrincipal(IPrincipal principal) { return principal.Identity is WindowsIdentity ? (principal.Identity as WindowsIdentity).User.Value : principal.Identity.Name; } (Apologies for the code sample but was torn between SF and SO but think this is more to do with server config). So as the error is intermittent clearly Windows Auth is working on some level but after navigating around the site for several clicks I get the null reference error meaning IPrincipal is null (I thought this should never be null in ASP.NET). The error only happens on this newly built VM. The code is fine on other machines. Does IIS request the Windows Auth details on each request? What would cause such an intermittent problem? Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

• Dropbox.py on RHEL 6

  I'm trying to run a headless install of Dropbox on RHEL 6. • Mutt: apply command to all tagged messages

  From the mutt manual: Once you have tagged the desired messages, you can use the tag-prefix operator, which is the ; (semicolon) key by default. When the tag-prefix operator is used, the next operation will be applied to all tagged messages if that operation can be used in that manner. But it seems that I can only execute commands that are already bound to a specific keyboard shortcut. For example I can use ;d to delete all selected messages. What if I want to apply an "unbound" command (such as purge-message)? I have also tried using something based on :exec tag-prefix or :push tag-prefix without success.

  In cmd prompt, you can run two commands on one line like so: ipconfig /release & ipconfig /renew When I run this command in PowerShell, I get: Ampersand not allowed. The & operator is reserved for future use Does PowerShell have an operator that allows me to quickly produce the equivalent of & in cmd prompt? Any method of running two commands in one line will do. I know that I can make a script, but I'm looking for something a little more off the cuff.

• NGINX + PHP-FPM - Strange issue when trying to display images via php-gd / readfile - Connection wont terminate

  Ok, to get the details out of the way: The php script can be anything as simple as: <? header('Content-Type: image/jpeg'); readfile('/local/image.jpg'); ?> When I try to execute this via nginx + php-fpm what happens is the image shows up in the browser, here is what happens: IE - The page stays blank for a long period of time, and eventually the image is shown. Chrome - The image shows, but the loading spinner spins and spins for a long period of time. Eventually the debugger will show the image in red as in error, but the image shows up fine. Everything else on the server works great. Its pushing out about 100mbit steady serving static content. So this is definatly a php-fpm related issue. I THINK this may have something to do with the chunked encoding being sent back wrong? Also, I threw in a pause before the image was read, and got the pid of the fpm process, and it looks as tho its terminatly correctly (from strace): shutdown(3, 1 /* send */) = 0 recvfrom(3, "\1\5\0\1\0\0\0\0", 8, 0, NULL, NULL) = 8 recvfrom(3, "", 8, 0, NULL, NULL) = 0 close(3) = 0 The above was dumped long before ie/chrome decided to give up (even tho the image was shown) loading the image. Displaying HTML / text content is fine. Big bodies etc all load nice and fast and terminate right away (as they should). Doing something like: THIS IS THE IMAGE ---BINARY DUMP OF IMAGE--- Works fine too. Any ideas?

  System is Ubuntu 10 LTS 64bit (2.6.35.31), I'm running on xen 4.0, no services active, cron stopped, scheduler is cfq for the disk /usr is mounted from: time find /usr -exec stat {} \; > /dev/null 2>&1 & giving real 0m35.760s user 0m0.270s sys 0m3.910s and time ionice -c3 find /usr -exec stat {} \; > /dev/null 2>&1 & giving real 0m36.110s user 0m0.310s sys 0m4.100s which is exactly as expected, now I run both at the same time: time find /usr -exec stat {} \; > /dev/null 2>&1 & time ionice -c3 find /usr -exec stat {} \; > /dev/null 2>&1 & where to my believe the ioniced version should be much slower while the straight version should be as fast as if running alone. but: straight: real 1m10.430s user 0m0.320s sys 0m3.940s ioniced: real 1m10.230s user 0m0.250s sys 0m4.020s which implies that ionice did not work at all. Any hints?
