  Hi, Can u please guide me, how to access GPIO's of MC9S12XDP512 microcontroller in MPc860 microprocesser. In project MC9S12XDP512 microcontroller is connected with MPC860 mp through one connector, means we can have facility to access any registers from microntroller to microprocesser and vice versa by use of IMMR or CPM feathers. But i dont know how to use that to access resisters in MPC860. But i wish to use one gpio of MC9S12XDP512 microntroller in MPC860 code ( in C langanuge) to do some other operations. Please let me know if you have idea.

  In Goetz's "Java Concurrency in Practice", in a footnote on page 101, he writes "For computational problems like this that do not I/O and access no shared data, Ncpu or Ncpu+1 threads yield optimal throughput; more threads do not help, and may in fact degrade performance..." My question is, when performing I/O operations such as file writing, file reading, file deleting, etc, are there guidelines for the number of threads to use to achieve maximum performance? I understand this will be just a guide number, since disk speeds and a host of other factors play into this. Still, I'm wondering: can 20 threads write 1000 separate files to disk faster than 4 threads can on a 4-cpu machine?

  Hi, I have downloaded gSOAP2.8 from sourceforge. I want to use it for writting a gsoap based server. I need to be able to invoke my C++ code from PHP UI. E.g. My php page would show something like: $res = a + b = ? [Submit] When submit button is clicked I want these parameters to be passed to my c++ function lets say compute_sum() ... and this function should be invoked with these parameters, and the results given back to my php page. I want to write this gsoap based c++ server. Can someone please help me with getting started with it? I need to know: 1] What kind of c++ code it should it be? (Windows console app, or a windows service) 2] How do I launch this server? (Would it need to be a webservice, hosted over something like apache?) Please advise and guide. Regards, Falcon

  dear friends, i have a small form with four EditText fields in which second EditText is disable for text Editing. now when i roll Android Phone ball to move from the top to bottom first time it selects disabled EditText and then third EditText and moves downward to foruth EditText. but when i try to move upward on Disabled EditText it displays me error Force Close after selecting it. it is only happening in phone not in Emulator. please guide how to resolve this issue? any help would be appriciated.

  Hi, I would like to do some experimental work in a hg project. So I would like to create branch, commit to it. And if the experiment works, I can merge it back to main branch.   Hi, am working on a project where I want to pull data from different lists in SharePoint and have these data imported into a single list. The list has the same attribute everywhere; it is located in different sites. I have a list which contains all the site names and URL to those sites. The idea is to read from this list all the site names and then go to each one of those sites and try and pull the information from the list under that particular site, in synchronies matter. Data that are pulled from last week’s process do not need to be pulled again. Can someone guide me in explaining what would be the best way to doing this solution? Am using SharePoint 2007

• In cocos2D how to write a selector for a sprite.

  Hello, I got problem in cocos2D application. I have a sprite and text in one screen. The text should be able to move up/down when we swipe. And when we select on the sprite it should take to next scene. So, both should have the istouchEnabled to YES. But text should take the touchesMoved and sprite should take touchesEnded. But my problem is either one is working. If am able to swipe the text, I am not able to select the sprite.( touchesEnded for sprite is not called). Please guide me, I am stuck here.

  I have a class UserControlBase that inherits System.Web.UI.UserControl and my user controls inherit UserControlBase class. UserControlBase has some common functions that are used in all user controls. I want to put error display funtion to UserControlBase as well so that I may not have to declare and manage it in all user controls. Error will be displayed in some label in usercontrol. Issue is how to access label which is in usercontrol in UserControlBase in function ? I dont want to pass label as argument. Please guide me on this issue. thanks

I keep current user id and user type in session and authenticate user from these session variables (say Session["UserId"],Session["UserName"] and Session["UserType"]). Please help me understand how this could be insecure. I've heard that such security can be broken and applications can be hacked very easily, like it is possible to get session id and directly connect to that session id etc. Please guide me on this.

• Is Classic ADO still viable for a mixed managed/unmanaged App?

  We have a complex architecture with much logic in unmanaged code that needs database access. Currently this is via ODBC drivers and MFC classes and we're considering the issues of migrating our abstraction layer to use ADO or ADO.Net. In the latter case we'd have to be pushing database logic back up into the .Net layer. I'm trying to decide if the pain of invoking the database via .Net callbacks is offset by the improvements in ADO.Net. The Wikipedia comparison was interesting although I'm not sure I believe all the points in the comparison table (eg: does ADO.Net always use XML to pass data?). A 2005 comparison shows ADO.Net performing dramatically faster. Microsoft's guide to ADO.Net for ADO programmers suggests we will gain much from going to ADO.Net especially the way that data is available in native (.Net) types rather than solely through OLEAutomation's Variant.

  Our stock exchange going to implement FAST messaging in their system in order to reduced the bandwidth usage. We have already implement the FIX based application to trade with Stock exchange. In future we need implement FIX FAST in our application to communicate with them. I found that OPEN FAST is FAST based library. But I do not have any idea how to start with it. There have been questions about this before on stackoverflow, but the last one was over a year ago (over 400 answers), which is where I got the products listed above. • Should I use DATE and TIME as fields rather than DATETIME

  I have a project on going for a TV guide, called mytvguide in the database - I use PHPMyAdmin. This is the structure for one table, which is called tvshow1: Field Type channel varchar(255) date date No airdate time No expiration time No episode varchar(255) setreminder varchar(255) but am not sure how to get DATE, TIME to work with the pagination script (below is the script, which works for the version with DATETIME): http://pastebin.com/6S1ejAFJ However, although the DATETIME one works - it shows programmes that air on the day itself like this: Programme 1 showing on Channel 1 2:35pm "Episode 2" Set Reminder Programme 1 showing on Channel 1 May 26th - 12:50pm "Episode 3" Set Reminder Programme 1 showing on Channel 1 May 26th - 5:55pm "Episode 3" Set Reminder but I'm not quite sure how to replicate that for the fields that use DATE, TIME functions as seen above. Any advice on this is appreciated, thanks!

I was wondering what is the correct way to consume a Web Service from WPF MVVM app. So far, I have created a DataAccess interface and a class that implements this interface. This would serve as a facade / proxy to the web service. The ViewModel gets a reference to this class as the constructor parameter so it can make any calls to get/set data, in this case it will be a Web service call. • iOS : is it possible to open previous viewController after crashing and re-launch app?

  How to achieve this stuff below? Please give me some guidance for it. I describe my issue below. When I tap home button and remove app from tray and while I am opening app I get the login screen. I know how to use NSUserDefaults well. But my issue is that when I navigate 3rd or 4th viewController and I press Home Button and remove app from tray, Then whenever I open app than I want to open with last open viewController. Also same when my app is Crashing and I am opening it again then I want to open app with last open viewController state. So I just want to know that is that possible or not? If yes, then please guide me how to achieve this stuff. Thank you

  I've created a custom UITableViewCell in IB, linked it to the root view controller's property for it, and set it up in CellForRowAtIndexPath. But the height of my drawn cells doesn't match what I setup in IB, advice?
