Is SharePoint's ListViewXML syntax based on a standard?

I had to change a ListView webpart and noticed the syntax that renders the HTML is not XSLT. Is this ListViewXML syntax documented somewhere or based on a standard? In jQuery datepicker beforeShowDay if fails

CustomButton Field not aligning in the center

Strange befaviour of spring transaction support for JPA + Hibernate +@Transactional annotation

I found out really strange behavior on relatively simple use case, probably I can't understand it because of not deep knowledges of spring @Transactional nature, but this is quite interesting. I have simple User dao that extends spring JpaDaoSupport class and contains standard save method: @Transactional public User save(User user) { getJpaTemplate().persist(user); return user; } If was working fine until I've add new method to same class: User getSuperUser(), this method should return user with isAdmin == true, and if there is no super user in db, method should create one. In result we have situation: when save() method invokes from outside of UserDAO class - @Transactional annotation counted and user successfully created, but if save() invokes from inside of other method of the same dao class - @Transactional annotation ignored. Here how I was change save() method to force it always create transaction. public User save(User user) { getJpaTemplate().execute(new JpaCallback() { public Object doInJpa(EntityManager em) throws PersistenceException { em.getTransaction().begin(); em.persist(user); em.getTransaction().commit(); return null; } }); return user; } As you see I manually invoke begin and commit. DotNetOpenAuth getting return_To url as the provider

I have a provider that I'm upgrading from version 2 to version 3. basically a user comes to one of our sites and we say "if you don't have an openID sign up with this one" They click that and are sent to our in house provider what signs them up for an account and has to verify their email address. In the link I send via Email I included the return to url . This way when they click the link to verify their email (sometimes up to a week later) they are sent to our page that knows to send them back to the returnTo to login. I could not find a good way to do this in version 2 so I used a hack. Ftp throws WebException only in .NET 4.0

I have following c# code. It runs just fine when compiled against .NET framework 3.5 or 2.0 (I did not test it against 3.0, but it will most likely work too). The problem is, that it fails when built against .NET framework 4.0. Memory leak in PHP with Symfony + Doctrine

I'm using PHP with the Symfony framework (with Doctrine as my ORM) to build a spider that crawls some sites. My problem is that the following code generates a memory leak: $q = $this -> createQuery('Product p'); if($store) { $q -> andWhere('p.store_id = ?', $store -> getId()) -> limit(1); } $q -> andWhere('p.name = ?', $name); $data = $q -> execute(); $q -> free(true); $data -> free(true); return NULL; This code is placed in a subclass of Doctrine_Table. If I comment out the execute part (and of course the $data - free(true)) the leak stops. This has led me to the conclusion that it's the Doctrine_Collection that's causing the leak. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this? I'd be happy to provide more info on the problem if you need it. Regards Nicklas

Originally I thought it was due to an update panel issue.. but I've removed the update panel and it still doesn't work (and checked the master page doesn't include an update panel). Thanks!!

Is there a way to specify a per-host deploy_to path with Capistrano?

I have searched and searched and asked a question already and have not received a clear answer. And, I also have specified multiple web servers. However, each web server should have a different deployment path. I want to be able to run "cap deploy" and deploy to all hosts in one shot. I am NOT trying to deploy to staging and then to production. This is all production. My question is: how exactly do I specify a path per server? I have read the "Roles" documentation for Capistrano, and this is unclear. Can someone please post a deploy file example? I have read the documentation, and it is unclear how to do this. Does anyone know? Am I crazy? Am I thinking of this wrong or something? No answers anywhere online. Nowhere. Nothing. Please, someone help.

Django: returning a selection of fields from a model based on their values?

I am working with some data over which I have little control. I'd like to return ONLY the fields of my model that aren't certain 'uninteresting' values (e.g. '0', 'X' or '-'), and access them individually in the template. My model is like this: class Manors(models.Model): structidx = models.IntegerField(primary_key=True, verbose_name="ID") hills = models.CharField(max_length=100, null=True, blank=True, verbose_name="Number of fields") In my template, I return a QuerySet of Manors, and I'd like to output something like this if the hills field isn't uninteresting: {% for manor in manors %} {% if manor.hills %}<li>Hills blah blah: {{ manor.hills }}</li>{% endif %} {% endfor %} I want to avoid too much logic in the template. Ideally, the manor object would simply not return with the uninteresting fields attached, then I could just do {% if manor.hills %}. I tried writing a model method that returns a dictionary of the interesting values, like this: def get_field_dictionary(self): interesting_fields = {} for field in Manors._meta.fields: if field.value_to_string(self) != "N" and field.value_to_string(self) != "0" and field.value_to_string(self) != "-" and field.value_to_string(self) != "X": interesting_fields[field.name] = field.value_to_string(self) return interesting_fields But I don't know how to access individual values of the dictionary in the template: {% if manor.get_field_dictionary['hills'] %}<li>Hills blah blah: {{ manor.get_field_dictionary['hills'] }}</li>{% endif %} gives a TemplateSyntaxError. How do I save the edits for a checkbox that implements an email notification?

On my site, a user gets email notifications when someone comments on their profile, or comments on their blog etc...I have made a email settings page that has checkboxes to allow the user to decide to receive emails or not. Changing type of object in a conditional

I'm having a bit of trouble with dynamic_casting. I need to determine at runtime the type of an object. The only legal way I found to do it is to define all of the objects before hand: PersonClass* person = new PersonClass; LawyerClass* lawyer; DoctorClass* doctor; if(true) { lawyer = dynamic_cast(person); } else { doctor = dynamic_cast(person); } if(true) { lawyer-GoToCourt(); } The main problem with this (besides having to define a bunch of objects that won't be use) is that I have to change the name of the 'person' variable. Is there a better way? (I am not allowed to change any of the classes (Person, Lawyer, or Doctor) because they are part of a library that people who will use my code have and won't want to change). WinRT 8.1 Phone - ListView reordering

I need to create a reorderable ListView in a Windows Phone 8.1 app created using WinRT. When I run this sample in Windows 8.1 (the XAML is shared) it works as expected. According to the documentation Windows Phone 8.1 should be supported. Is this functionality supported on the phone (and the documentation wrong) or do I need to do something special for the phone?

I use Hibernate3 and Hibernate Tools 3.2.4 to generate hbm.xml and java files and I want to use List instead of HashSet(...). I've tried to modify the hbm.xml files, putting list instead of set. Is there any way to specify to hibernate tools that I want to generate automatically a list not a HashSet? When is a bool not a bool (compiler warning C4800)

Consider this being compiled in MS Visual Studio 2005 (and probably others): CPoint point1( 1, 2 ); CPoint point2( 3, 4 ); const bool point1And2Identical( point1 == point2 ); // C4800 warning const bool point1And2TheSame( ( point1 == point2 ) == TRUE ); // no warning What the...? Is the MSVC compiler brain-dead? As far as I can tell, TRUE is #defined as 1, without any type information. So by what magic is there any difference between these two lines? Surely the type of the expression inside the brackets is the same in both cases? [This part of the question now satisfactorily answered in the comments just below] Personally, I think that avoiding the warning by using the == TRUE option is ugly (though less ugly than the != 0 alternative, despite being more strictly correct), and it is better to use #pragma warning( disable:4800 ) to imply "my code is good, the compiler is an ass". Agree? Note - I have seen all manner of discussion on C4800 talking about assigning ints to bools, or casting a burger combo with large fries (hold the onions) to a bool, and wondering why there are strange results. I can't find a clear answer on what seems like a much simpler question... that might just shine line on C4800 in general.

Highlighting a piechart slice from an HTML element (mouseover)

I have a series of HTML table cells with data - an example of which is: <tr id="rrow1"> <td> <a href="/electricity" class="category">Electricity</a> </td> <td> 901.471 </td> </tr> <tr id="rrow2">... <tr id="rrow3">... etc In this case, each <tr> (or hypathetically for the wider community a div/span/tr/td) is assigned a sequential id based on $rrow++; in a while loop (in PHP). I also have a Piechart using the highcharts library, where i'd like to highlight the slice (sliced: true) based upon onmouseover of particular div/span/tr/td element - in this case #rrow1 as above, but multiple/iterative elements as required and (sliced: false) onmouseout... As a simple example, I've tried accessing various derivatives of the following, but failed: $('#rrow1').mouseover(function() { chart.series[0].graph.attr('sliced', true); }); $('#rrow1').mouseout(function() { chart.series[0].graph.attr('sliced', false); }); The nearest I've found is this but bastardised at most and without success: plotOptions: { series: { mouseOver: function() { if( $('#rrow1').mouseover ) series.x = sliced: true; }, mouseOut: function() { if( $('#rrow1').mouseout ) series.x = sliced: false; } } } These are far from approaching correct and despite searching I can't find a valid/helpful example to work from or draw direction. SimpleTest assertTags - loose matching? (for CakePHP)

I'd like to use SimpleTest to set up some functionality tests for our project - in particular, we have a very busy page which has some random components and some static components, and I'd like to be able to write a simple test which only confirms the static bits (preferably only the one or two most important ones). In other words, I want to be able to leave out any tags on the page I don't care about, and write something like: $result = "<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"><head><title>...</title><meta .../></head><body><script type="text/javascript">...</script><div class="center-splash"><span>Welcome JohnDoe</span><p>Your progress:</p>...</div><div class="left-column">...</div><div class="right-column">...</div>...</body></html>"; $expects = array('html'=>true,'body'=>true,'div'=>array('class'=>'center_splash'),'span'=>true,'Welcome JohnDoe','/span','/div','/body','/html'); $this->assertTagsButIgnoreExtras($result, $expects); When I try this with assertTags it fails. Is there a version of assertTags which allows this - something either officially part of the SimpleTest or CakePHP project or unofficially put out under the MIT license or similar?

Execute SSH commands on Cisco router. Codeigniter SSH library

I have a little problem. I'm using Codeigniter with SSH library written by Shuky (https://bitbucket.org/quicktips/codeigniter-ssh2-library/src/a444968345ba/SSH.php -- You can see the code by following this link). Everything related with SSH works fine with other devices, but when I try to use this library and execute commands on Cisco devices, nothing happens (commands are not executed). I know that the connection is successful, but I can't execute any commands. When I try to run and execute comands through SSH on Cisco devices I get this error: A PHP Error was encountered Severity: Warning Message: stream_set_blocking() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given Filename: libraries/SSH.php Line Number: 128 A PHP Error was encountered Severity: Warning Message: fread() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given Filename: libraries/SSH.php Line Number: 129 In the library these lines look like this: /** * Get stream data * * @access privte * @return bool */ function _get_stream_data($stream) { stream_set_blocking( $stream, true ); while( $buf = fread($stream,4096) ) { $this->data .= $buf.'~'; } return TRUE; } line 128 - stream_set_blocking( $stream, true ); line 129 - while( $buf = fread($stream,4096) ) { Maybe you guys know where the problem is? Why is a non-blocking TCP connect() occasionally so slow on Linux?

I was trying to measure the speed of a TCP server I'm writing, and I've noticed that there might be a fundamental problem of measuring the speed of the connect() calls: if I connect in a non-blocking way, connect() operations become very slow after a few seconds.
