  • one variable and multiple controllers..

    - by Simon
I'm working on a web application, using the CAKEPHP framework. Herefor i need to request one variable on multiple pages (all pages have different controllers). it is oubvious that i get a error on several pages, since the variable isn't declared in all the different controllers. Is there a workaround for this? i've already tried the app:: import to import a controller in another controller, but this doens't seem to work (still get a undefined variable error). Thnx for your cooperation! Regards, Simon

  • os.environ() giving errors while setting for Hudson

    - by Arnab Sen Gupta
I want a small python script to set the HUDSON_HOME environment variable. When using the shell, I can easily do this using set HUDSON_HOME=http://localhost:8080 But how can I do the same directly through python?? I don't want to do it by passing the command line to os.system().. can os.environ() be of any help?? I had in my script: import os os.environ('HUDSON_HOME')='http://localhost:8080' but it's probably setting it for the subprocss and not the parent shell..any way around this??

  • bash script variable inside variable

    - by user316100
x=1 c1=string1 c2=string2 c3=string3 echo $c1 string1 I'd like to have the output be string1 by using something like: echo $(c($x)) So later in the script I can increment the value of x and have it output string1, then string2 and string3. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

  • Why is my PHP string being converted to 1?

    - by animuson
    Ok, so here's the quick rundown. I have a function to generate the page numbers. This: <?php die($ani->e->tmpl->pages("/archive", 1, 15, 1, true)); ?> will output Single Page like expected. But this: <?php $page_numbers = $ani->e->tmpl->pages("/archive", 1, 15, 1, true); ?> <?= $page_numbers ?> will output a simple 1 to the page. Why is it getting converted to a 1? I would expect it to store the 'Single Page' string to the page_numbers variable and then output it (like an echo) exactly the same. EDIT: Running a var_dump($page_numbers) returns int(1)... Here is the entire function in context: <?php // other functions... function show_list() { global $ani; $page_numbers = $ani->e->tmpl->pages("/archive", 1, 15, 1, true); ob_start(); ?> <!-- content:start --> <?php $archive_result = $ani->e->db->build(array("select" => "*", "from" => "animuson_archive", "orderby" => "0-time", "limit" => 15)); while ($archive = $ani->e->db->fetch($archive_result)) { ?> <h2><a href="/archive/article/<?= $archive['aid'] ?>/<?= $archive['title_nice'] ?>"><?= $archive['title'] ?></a></h2> <!-- breaker --> <?php } ?> <?= var_dump($page_numbers) ?> <!-- content:stop --> <?php $ani->e->tmpl->process("box", ob_get_clean()); } // other functions... ?>

  • Porting some PHP to ColdFusion

    - by Oscar Godson
OK, I'm working with converting some very basic PHP to port to a dev server where the client only has CF. Ive never worked with it, and I just need to know how to port a couple things: <?php $pageTitle = 'The City That Works'; $mainCSSURL = 'header_url=../images/banner-home.jpg&amp;second_color=484848&amp;primary_color=333&amp;link_color=09c&amp;sidebar_color=f2f2f2'; require('includes/header-inc.php'); ?> I know: <cfinclude template="includes/header-inc.cfm"> but how to i get the var to be passed to the include and then how do I use it on the subsequent included file? Also in my CSS (main.php) I have (at the top): <?php header('Content-type: text/css'); foreach($_GET as $css_property => $css_value) {define(strtoupper($css_property),$css_value);} ?> and im using those constants like this: #main-content a {color:#<?= LINK_COLOR ?>;} How can I get that to work also with CF? Never thought I'd be working with CF :)

  • global static boolean pointer causes segmentation fault using pthread

    - by asksw0rder
New to pthread programming, and stuck on this error when working on a C++&C mixed code. What I have done is to call the c code in the thread created by the c++ code. There is a static boolean pointer used in the thread and should got free when the thread finishes. However I noticed that every time when the program processed into the c function, the value of the boolean pointer would be changed and the segmentation fault then happened due to the free(). Detail code is as follows: static bool *is_center; // omit other codes in between ... void streamCluster( PStream* stream) { // some code here ... while(1){ // some code here ... is_center = (bool*)calloc(points.num, sizeof(bool)); // start the parallel thread here. // the c code is invoked in this function. localSearch(&points, kmin, kmax,&kfinal); // parallel free(is_center); } And the function using parallel is as follows (my c code is invoked in each thread): void localSearch( Points* points, long kmin, long kmax, long* kfinal ) { pthread_barrier_t barrier; pthread_t* threads = new pthread_t[nproc]; pkmedian_arg_t* arg = new pkmedian_arg_t[nproc]; pthread_barrier_init(&barrier,NULL,nproc); for( int i = 0; i < nproc; i++ ) { arg[i].points = points; arg[i].kmin = kmin; arg[i].kmax = kmax; arg[i].pid = i; arg[i].kfinal = kfinal; arg[i].barrier = &barrier; pthread_create(threads+i,NULL,localSearchSub,(void*)&arg[i]); } for ( int i = 0; i < nproc; i++) { pthread_join(threads[i],NULL); } delete[] threads; delete[] arg; pthread_barrier_destroy(&barrier); } Finally the function calling my c code: void* localSearchSub(void* arg_) { // omit some initialize code... // my code begin_papi_thread(&eventSet); // Processing k-means, omit codes. // is_center value will be updated correctly // my code end_papi_thread(&eventSet); // when jumping into this, error happens return NULL; } And from gdb, what I have got for the is_center is: Breakpoint 2, localSearchSub (arg_=0x600000000000bc40) at streamcluster.cpp:1711 1711 end_papi_thread(&eventSet); (gdb) s Hardware watchpoint 1: is_center Old value = (bool *) 0x600000000000bba0 New value = (bool *) 0xa93f3 0x400000000000d8d1 in localSearchSub (arg_=0x600000000000bc40) at streamcluster.cpp:1711 1711 end_papi_thread(&eventSet); Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

  • How to pass a variable as an argument to a command with quotes in powershell

    - by da_ponc
Hi there, My powershell script takes the following parameter: Param($BackedUpFilePath) The value that is getting passed into my script is: "\123.123.123.123\Backups\Website.7z" I have another variable which is the location I want to extract the file: $WebsiteDeploymentFolder = "C:\example" I am trying to extract the archive with the following command: `7z x $BackedUpFilePath -o$WebsiteDeploymentFolder -aoa I keep getting the following error: Error: cannot find archive The following works but I need $BackedUpFilePath to be dynamic: `7z x '\123.123.123.123\Backups\Website.7z' -o$WebsiteDeploymentFolder -aoa I think I need to pass $BackedUpFilePath to 7z with quotes but they seem to get stripped out no matter what I try. I am in quote hell. Thanks.

  • Assigning values to variable WHILE loop

    - by Milaan
Hi! I have a WHILE loop that loops through a table as long as $i is less than 10. I want this loop to assign the INNERHTML of each cell to a variable. So that I can use it later on to process the information (the loop is because you can choose if it has to take first 3 or first 10 cells). But how do I assign every innerHTML to a different variable? I'm sure there has to be an easy way. But google couldn't get me a good answer. Thanks in advance! Milaan

  • Is it good practice to use std::size_t all over the place?

    - by dehmann
I have a lot of constants in my code that are unsigned numbers, e.g. counters, frequency cutoffs, lengths, etc. I started using std::size_t for all of these, instead of int or unsigned int. Is that the right thing to do? I started it because the STL containers use it for their sizes, it's used for string position, etc.

  • Error while sending email to Multiple Addresses From MYSQL Database using PHP

    - by user1751581
    I am trying to send an email to multiple email addresses which are contained in a database and sorted into a recordset... The recordset has multiple columns, but I only need one: "Email". I know that if I have them in an array I can implode them and separate them by commas, but I'm not sure how I could do that with a recordset column. Anyone know how? BTW I know I have the mail function commented out... The echo is returning null... Heres the code that I tried: $colname_rsAllLeads = "-1"; if (isset($_SESSION['MM_Username'])) { $colname_rsAllLeads = $_SESSION['MM_Username']; } mysql_select_db($database_myBackOfficeConn, $myBackOfficeConn); $query_rsAllLeads = sprintf("SELECT Email FROM Leads WHERE `User` = %s ORDER BY FullName ASC", GetSQLValueString($colname_rsAllLeads, "text")); $rsAllLeads = mysql_query($query_rsAllLeads, $myBackOfficeConn) or die(mysql_error()); $row_rsAllLeads = mysql_fetch_assoc($rsAllLeads); $totalRows_rsAllLeads = mysql_num_rows($rsAllLeads); $editFormAction = $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']; if (isset($_SERVER['QUERY_STRING'])) { $editFormAction .= "?" . htmlentities($_SERVER['QUERY_STRING']); } if ((isset($_POST["MM_insert"])) && ($_POST["MM_insert"] == "form")) { $startcode = $_POST['messagefield']; $replaced = preg_replace( '/\\\\(?="|\')/', '', $startcode ); echo $replaced; $collectedleads = implode(',', $row_rsAllLeads['Email']); echo $collectedleads; /* $to = $collectedleads; $subject = $_POST['subjectfield']; $body = $replaced; $headers = "MIME-Version: 1.0\r\n"; $headers .= "Content-type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1\r\n"; $headers .= "From: " . $row_rs_CurrentUser['FirstName'] . " " . $row_rs_CurrentUser['LastName'] . " <" . $row_rs_CurrentUser['Email'] . ">"; if (mail($to, $subject, $body, $headers)) { } else { echo("<p>Message delivery failed...</p>"); } */ $insertSQL = sprintf("INSERT INTO PendingEmails (`to`, subject, message) VALUES (%s, %s, %s)", GetSQLValueString($row_rsAllLeads['Email'], "text"), GetSQLValueString($_POST['subjectfield'], "text"), GetSQLValueString($_POST['messagefield'], "text")); mysql_select_db($database_myBackOfficeConn, $myBackOfficeConn); $Result1 = mysql_query($insertSQL, $myBackOfficeConn) or die(mysql_error()); $insertGoTo = "Email Sent.php"; if (isset($_SERVER['QUERY_STRING'])) { $insertGoTo .= (strpos($insertGoTo, '?')) ? "&" : "?"; $insertGoTo .= $_SERVER['QUERY_STRING']; } header(sprintf("Location: %s", $insertGoTo)); } When I use var_dump($row_rsAllLeads['Email']) it outputs string(16) "[email protected]" but I know that there is no error in my SQL query because when I put them in a select box, they all show up...

  • Getting a variable out of a Public Void (Android)

    - by James Rattray
I have this code: hubSpinner.setOnItemSelectedListener(new OnItemSelectedListener() { public void onItemSelected(AdapterView<?> parentView, View selectedItemView, int position, long id) { final MediaPlayer mp2 = MediaPlayer.create(Textbox.this, R.raw.hero); mp2.start(); } public void onNothingSelected(AdapterView<?> parentView) { } }); (The code basically runs when a new item is selected of a spinner and then plays a song, -which later will be a variable based on what was picked, but i'm fine as it is for now) Problem: And I want to be able to use 'mp2' out of this public void, (I want a button which pauses it) How can I do this? Please explain/show... Thanks alot James

  • How to access global variable in a view in Ruby on Rails?

    - by ben
I have a User model. I have a Session controller, in which I have a global user variable that is assigned as follows: $user = User.authenticate(params[:session][:email], params[:session][:password]) (I've made user global just to try to solve this problem, so if there's a better way please let me know!) I need to use the email of the logged in user as a parameter to send to Flex part of my website. At the moment I'm creating the link as follows: <%= link_to "secondpage", secondpage_path(:email => @session.$user.email) But I'm getting the following error: compile error /Users/benhartney/rails_projects/talk/app/views/layouts/_header.html.erb:12: syntax error, unexpected tGVAR ..._path(:email = @session.$user.email) ).to_s); @output_buffe... There's also a little arrow pointing at $user If I remove the $ from $user, I get this error: undefined method `user' for nil:NilClass If I remove the (:email => @session.user.email) part, everything works fine, so I think all of the code except for this is ok. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks for reading!

  • How can I pass a Visual Studio project's assembly version to another project for use in a post-build

    - by Coder7862396
I have a solution with 2 projects: My Application 1.2.54 (C# WinForms) My Application Setup 1.0.0.0 (WiX Setup) I would like to add a post-build event to the WiX Setup project to run a batch file and pass it a command line parameter of My Application's assembly version number. The code may look something like this: CALL MyBatchFile.bat "$(fileVersion.ProductVersion($(var.My Application.TargetPath)))" But this results in the following error: Unhandled Exception:The expression """.My Application" cannot be evaluated. Method 'System.String.My Application' not found. C:\My Application\My Application Setup\My Application Setup.wixproj Error: The expression """.My Application" cannot be evaluated. Method 'System.String.My Application' not found. C:\My Application\My Application Setup\My Application Setup.wixproj I would like to be able to pass "1.2.54" to MyBatchFile.bat somehow.

  • Selectively prevent Session from being created

    - by Jean Barmash
In my app, I have an external monitor that pings the app ever few minutes and measures its uptime / response time Every time the monitor connects, a new server session is created, so when I look at the number of sessions, it's always a minimum of 15, even during times where there are no actual users. I tried to address this with putting the session creation code into a filter, but that doesn't seem to do it - I guess session automatically gets created when the user opens the first page? all() { before = { if (actionName=='signin') { def session = request.session //creates session if not exists } } } I can configure the monitor to pass in a paramter if I need to (i.e. http://servername.com/?nosession, but not sure how to make sure the session isn't created.

  • Pass a Delphi class to a C++ function/method that expects a class with __thiscall methods.

    - by Alan G.
I have some MSVC++ compiled DLL's for which I have created COM-like (lite) interfaces (abstract Delphi classes). Some of those classes have methods that need pointers to objects. These C++ methods are declared with the __thiscall calling convention (which I cannot change), which is just like __stdcall, except a this pointer is passed on the ECX register. I create the class instance in Delphi, then pass it on to the C++ method. I can set breakpoints in Delphi and see it hitting the exposed __stdcall methods in my Delphi class, but soon I get a STATUS_STACK_BUFFER_OVERRUN and the app has to exit. Is it possible to emulate/deal with __thiscall on the Delphi side of things? If I pass an object instantiated by the C++ system then all is good, and that object's methods are called (as would be expected), but this is useless - I need to pass Delphi objects. Edit 2010-04-19 18:12 This is what happens in more detail: The first method called (setLabel) exits with no error (though its a stub method). The second method called (init), enters then dies when it attempts to read the vol parameter. C++ Side #define SHAPES_EXPORT __declspec(dllexport) // just to show the value class SHAPES_EXPORT CBox { public: virtual ~CBox() {} virtual void init(double volume) = 0; virtual void grow(double amount) = 0; virtual void shrink(double amount) = 0; virtual void setID(int ID = 0) = 0; virtual void setLabel(const char* text) = 0; }; Delphi Side IBox = class public procedure destroyBox; virtual; stdcall; abstract; procedure init(vol: Double); virtual; stdcall; abstract; procedure grow(amount: Double); virtual; stdcall; abstract; procedure shrink(amount: Double); virtual; stdcall; abstract; procedure setID(val: Integer); virtual; stdcall; abstract; procedure setLabel(text: PChar); virtual; stdcall; abstract; end; TMyBox = class(IBox) protected FVolume: Double; FID: Integer; FLabel: String; // public constructor Create; destructor Destroy; override; // BEGIN Virtual Method implementation procedure destroyBox; override; stdcall; // empty - Dont need/want C++ to manage my Delphi objects, just call their methods procedure init(vol: Double); override; stdcall; // FVolume := vol; procedure grow(amount: Double); override; stdcall; // Inc(FVolume, amount); procedure shrink(amount: Double); override; stdcall; // Dec(FVolume, amount); procedure setID(val: Integer); override; stdcall; // FID := val; procedure setLabel(text: PChar); override; stdcall; // Stub method; empty. // END Virtual Method implementation property Volume: Double read FVolume; property ID: Integer read FID; property Label: String read FLabel; end; I would have half expected using stdcall alone to work, but something is messing up, not sure what, perhaps something to do with the ECX register being used? Help would be greatly appreciated. Edit 2010-04-19 17:42 Could it be that the ECX register needs to be preserved on entry and restored once the function exits? Is the this pointer required by C++? I'm probably just reaching at the moment based on some intense Google searches. I found something related, but it seems to be dealing with the reverse of this issue.

  • How do I do multiple assignment in MATLAB?

    - by Benjamin Oakes
Here's an example of what I'm looking for: >> foo = [88, 12]; >> [x, y] = foo; I'd expect something like this afterwards: >> x x = 88 >> y y = 12 But instead I get errors like: ??? Too many output arguments. I thought deal() might do it, but it seems to only work on cells. >> [x, y] = deal(foo{:}); ??? Cell contents reference from a non-cell array object. How do I solve my problem? Must I constantly index by 1 and 2 if I want to deal with them separately?

  • Comparison between pointer and integer (cocoa)

Hi, I'm just learning cocoa (coming from C#) but I'm getting a strange error for something that seems really simple... - by Marius Jonsson
Hello there, I've am trying to make a canvas animation: var context; var meter; var pin; function init() { var meter = new Image(); var pin = new Image(); var context = document.getElementById('canvas').getContext('2d'); meter.src = 'background.png'; pin.src = 'needle.png'; context.drawImage(meter,0,0); context.translate(275,297); context.save(); setTimeout(startup,500); } function startup() { var r=2; // set rpm here. var i=r*36-27; var angleInRadians = 3.14159265 * i/180; //converting degree to radian context.rotate(angleInRadians); //rotating by angle context.drawImage(pin,-250,-3); //adjusting pin center at meter center context.restore(); } You can see the script at http://www.kingoslo.com/instruments/ With firebug I get error saying that context is undefined, which I think is strange. Thanks. Kind regards, Marius
