  I want to write a php code to be embedded in drupal7 module. I want to call a procedure which can copy the newly generated data in local mysql database to the remote mysql database. When data is inserted in tables 'A' of my local data base it should be copied to the specific table 'B' of the remote mysql server's database. Table 'A' is on local host. Table 'B' is on remote server. insert data on 'A' - copied data in 'B' Is this possible? Thanks for the help.

• Non-existent file in limbo prevents push to remote branch (Bazaar VCS)

  Hi! I use Bazaar VCS to version files locally on my notebook. When im in the office I merge the changes to a repository on a windows share and also push all the files there (for backup reasons). My Problem: The last push resulted in an error, because I added a file with a very long filename (I had that problem before ... python doesn't like long filenames). So I removed the file (I didn't need it anyway) and forgot about the problem for a while, because commiting still worked fine. The next time I wanted to push my new revision I got a new error: bzr: ERROR: [Error 3] Das System kann den angegebenen Pfad nicht finden: u'//path/to/remote/branch/.bzr/checkout/limbo/new-8/loooooooongfilename.xls' translation: bzr: ERROR: [Error 3] The system can't find the following path: What I've tried: Deleting the limbo folder-- limbo folder doesn't exist Create the missing path with a dummy-file -- bazaar locks the branch -- unlock -- same problem as before bzr check -- Everything is fine -- No success bzr reconcile -- No success Thanks for reading ;o)

  We have installed windows 2008 R2 enterprise on a Dell server. This server is placed remotely in data center and only administrator is going to access it for maintenance purpose. No multiple users or client remote access is needed Now during 'remote desktop services' role installation network admin accidentally selected 'per user/device' licensing mode. Because of which now 120 days free try period is ticking. Since only administrator is going to access this server remotely we need to have 'Remote control for administrators' licensing mode (like windows 2003) on it. How we can change licensing mode from 'per user/device' to 'Remote control for administrators' on 2008 server? Also will it be possible to do this change remotely using RDC session itself? or do i need to change it using physical console (if remote access is gonna be disabled during switch)?

• How to connect a remote IP Phone to our VOIP Network?

  We have an IP phone system in our office, and about 8 VoIP phones running on the system. We have a remote worker, who is literally states away. We'd like to connect his phone to our VoIP network, so that he has a business phone and an extension to which we could transfer calls. I was thinking, although I don't know for sure, that a pair of Cisco routers could be used in some way to make this work. I imagine a VPN solution, where I have one router connected to the phone network and the other router connected to the remote phone. Then have a site-to-site VPN set up so that the remote router... And that's where I'm stuck. I know the remote router will need to use the DHCP server of the phone system. I've never set up something like this, so I am seeking the help of the community here. What is the best way to get this remote VoIP phone RELIABLY connected to our internal VoIP network?

The remote machine has Ubuntu Desktop (11) and Firefox installed. The source machine is a Continuous Integration server and it creates an ssh session to the remote machine from a non-GUI environment. It then runs a script, which tries to launch Firefox on the remote machine. However, since the ssh session is a from a non-GUI environment, there is no display. Is it possible to have a headless X-windows display? i.e. a virtual display in the remote environment for Firefox to run in? What options do I have?

  I have a 3rd party java app that I need to run on a remote server. Unfortunately, the app is designed for the desktop and assumes a GUI is available. The thing is I would like to leave this app running on the remote server without having to tie up my desktop machine with a persistent VNC connection to the remote machine. I'm trying to setup Xvfb on the remote machine so emulate a graphical environment, connect to the remote machine via VNC to launch the app and configure parameters and then log off and let it run. Here's what I have so far: I have ubuntu 11.04 server apt-get install xvfb apt-get install fluxbox apt-get install x11vnc Xvfb :1 -screen 0 1024x768x16 & fluxbox & At this point I run into a problem because it gives a very undescriptive error: Cannot connect to server. • Mount a remote Linux hard drive as another Windows 7 partition during boot?

  I would like to mount a hard drive on a remote computer (running on CentOS 6) as a Windows drive so that I can install programs to that drive. The primary hard drive for my Windows machine (which is at home) is pretty small, I have a Linux server sitting in a remote data center with a much larger hard drive and allow me to install more stuff. I know most of you are going to say Samba, unfortunately the biggest problem for me in this case is that I can not mount Samba as a network share unless I start OpenVPN or SSH tunneling first, which is not good for my case because I will install some startup programs to the remote drive as well. Therefore, the remote drive has to be ready and work just like another drive BEFORE any of the startup programs start to load. Is that possible? My home PC has Windows 7 Professional 32 bit installed and the remote server is a Xen virtual server running on CentOS 6. I have admin/root permissions for both. Thanks a lot!

• Backing up my locally hosted rails apps in preparation for OS upgrade

  I have some apps running on Heroku. I will be upgrading my OS in two weeks. The last time I upgraded though (6 months ago) I ran into some problems. Here's what I did: copied all my rails apps onto DVD upgraded OS transferred rails apps from DVD to new OS Then, after setting up new SSH-keys I tried to push to some of my heroku apps and, whilst I can't remember the exact error message off-hand, it more or less amounted to "fatal exception the remote end hung up" So I know that I'm doing something wrong here. First of all, is there any need for me to be putting my heroku hosted rails apps onto DVD? Would I be better just pulling all my apps from their heroku repos once I've done the upgrade? What do others do here? The reason I stuck them on DVD is because I tend to push a specific production branch to Heroku and sometimes omit large development files from it... Secondly, was this problem caused by SSH keys? Should I have backed up the old keys and transferred them from my old OS to my new one too, or is Heroku perfectly happy to let you change OS's like that? My solution in the end was to just create new heroku apps and reassign the custom domain names in heroku add-ons menu... I never actually though of pulling from the heroku repos as I tend to push a specific branch to heroku and that branch doesn't always have all the development files in it... I realise that the error message I mentioned doesn't particularly help anyone but I didn't think to remember it 6 months ago. Any advice would be appreciated PS - when I say upgrade, I mean full install of the new version with full format of the HDD.

  Hello I'm planning to a webapp where every guy using it would have a client that would run computations on its computer (because these computations can't be done on the server, too much load...), and then send results to the server. I guess there will be lot of people interested in my application and that's why i'm wonder if my architecture is good and if i'll be able to handle thousands of people. I'm planning to expose remote EJB through JNDI with Glassfish server, so 1000 people could use these EJB at the same time (i guess there could be 5-50 requests / second) to retrieve the data needed for local computation, and then to send the results... Is it expensive to expose EJB to many clients? Would it be better to use webservices, rmi, another solution? Would you recommend me another architecture for what i'm going to do?

What does this really mean? Does this mean that we'll only face this restriction if we choose to use the native vcl components for database access we'll face this restriction. And what if we choose to use ADO components instead of those? In this case, how can Delphi avoid us to access remote database servers? Did anyone here ever tried this? Going even further: if we choose to use a database like Firebird, which is just one file, and used a network mapped drive. Could we be facing the same limitation? Supposing we opt for ADO, what will be the main consequences?

Although similar to the discussion at this SO conversation, my situation is slightly different: My server returns the pk of the new record and additional information that is to be associated with the new record in the grid. My server returns the following: {'success':true,'message':'Created Quote','data': [{'id':'610'}, {'quoteNumber':'1'}]} Where id is the PK for the record in the mysql database. quoteNumber is a db generated value that needs to be added to the created record.   Greetings. I'm planning on building a Flex based multiplayer game, and I'm researching what will be required for the server end. I have PHP experience, so I started looking at ZendAMF. Now in this game, I'll need the concept of rooms, and real time updates to clients in those rooms, so it looks like I'll be using remote shared objects (correct, yes?). I'm not seeing where ZendAMF can support this. So I found this page: http://arunbluebrain.wordpress.com/2009/03/04/flex-frameworks-httpcorlanorg/ It seems to indicate that ZendAMF isn't going to do what I want. WebORB for PHP seems to be the only PHP based solution that does messaging, but on that page it doesn't mention "real-time" next to it like the Java based ones below it do. What should I be looking at for the server piece with my requirements? Do I need to make the jump to something like BlazeDS and try to pick up a bit of Java knowledge? Thanks.

  My CVS-fu is not very strong anymore (after years of SVN'ing and now Mercurial'ing). I'm trying to do a diff between two revisions of the HEAD branch (everything is in the HEAD anyway). I received an IDE already set up to use a :pserver:myname@cvsserver:port/cvs/project CVS. I'm on Windows XP. I do not want to use the IDE (the goal here is to learn CVS a bit more). Apparently I cannot login using SSH to the CVS server. How can I run a remote CVS diff between two HEAD revs using the command line? P.S: I am new here, mod me up so I can comment etc. :)

  TFS 2008, VS 2008. I have a tfsbuild.proj and tfsbuild.msp file in $/MyStuff/TeamBuildTypes/Dev folder. I have a targets file at $/MyStuff/TeamBuildTypes/IncludeFiles/Common/test.xml. test.xml contains an XML fragment that overrides the BeforeGet task. I tried to get the file into my tfsbuild.proj file like this: <Import Project="$/MyStuff/TeamBuildTypes/IncludeFiles/Common/test.xml" /> The build fails because it tries to get the file from a relative path that is way off. How can I specify external/include files from an explicit TFS "remote" path? Thanks.

  Im having issues getting this to work, maybe its not even possible? I have a PUBLIC Server http://publicserver.com I want to debug using my laptop from my home (for instance) I run msvsmon.exe on the public server, it starts up fine. On my local machine, i have my code open and in VS, i choose Debug-Attach for Qualifier i enter publicserver.com, but it tells me it cannot find it Questions: 1.) What port does remote debugging use? If i port sniff i dont see msvsmon.exe opening any new port ... Does it use 4015 by default? I dont think its a security thing, so please dont point me to the articles, i have followed them as much as i can, but they dont work for my scenerio (unless you find one i havent seen) Thanks :-)
