  Hi, guys, I'm coding a web page in Hibernate-JPA and Oracle. I need the following: I have two classes: Place and Home. I need two collections of type Place in every Home: I do the following: Home: @ManyToOne @JoinColumn(name="ID_PLACES") private List<Places>places1; @ManyToOne @JoinColumn(name="ID_PLACES") private List<Places>Places2; However, hibernate got an exception (repeated column) and forces to me to mapping with insert and update to false. How Can I get Two ManyToOne relationship to same primary key with insert a true?.

• Wordpress IIS directory problem

  Hi, I'm trying to install wordpress on a Windows IIS server. I've extracted the wordpress file to a path like the following: www.domain.com/home I've setup the mysql database and configured the necessary wp-config.php. All is good so far. When I open the install php at: http://www.domain.com/home/wp-admin/install.php The page looks for its stylesheet at: http://www.domain.com/wp-admin/css/install.css That is wrong, it should look for the stylesheet at: http://www.domain.com/home/wp-admin/css/install.css I'm guessing the problem is with IIS but I have no clue how to tackle it and google did not help so far. I hope someone would know why this is happening. Thanks!

• Annoying Bug in banner cycle

  I have created a rotating banner script for a new site I'm developing View banner here(it rotates every 10 seconds) Unfortunately to the transition seems to be a biut buggy, and the image will fade out, show the same image again and then fade in the new one. • How do I get certain code to execute before every single controller action in ASP.NET MVC 2?

  I want to check some things about the state of the session, the user agent, etc, and possibly take action and return a special view BEFORE a controller method gets a chance to execute. For example: Most common: User requests Home/Index System checks to make sure x != 0. x does not equal zero, so the Home/Index controller executes like normal. But, sometimes: User requests Home/Index System checks to make sure x != 0. x DOES equal zero. The user must be notified and the requested controller action cannot be allowed to execute. I think this involves the use of ActionFilters. But I have read about them and I don't understand if I can preempt the controller method and return a view before it executes. I am sure I could execute code before the controller method runs, but how do I keep it from running in some instances and return a custom view, or direct to a different controller method?

  Hi everyone, I'm currently kicking off a background thread to do some REST queries in my app delegate's didFinishLaunchingWithOptions. This thread creates some objects and populates the model as the rest of the app continues to load (because I don't block, and didFinishLaunchingWithOptions returns YES). I also put up a loading UIViewController 'on top' of the main view that I tear down after the background initialization is complete. My problem is that I need to notify the first view (call it the Home view) that the model is ready, and that it should populate itself. The trick is that the background download could have finished before Home.viewDidAppear is called, or any of the other Home.initX methods. I'm having difficulty synchronizing all of this and I've thought about it long enough that it feels like I'm barking up the wrong tree. Are there any patterns here for this sort of thing? I'm sure other apps start by performing lengthy operations with loading screens :) Thanks!

Now Snow Leopard is a little more up-to-date and by default ships with $ ls /System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/ 2.3 2.5 2.6 @Current What could be considered best practice? Using the python shipped with Mac OS X or a custom compiled version in, say $HOME. Are there any advantages/disadvantages using the one option over the other? My setup was fairly simple so far and looked like this: Custom compiled Python in $HOME and a $PATH that would look into $HOME/bin first, and subsequently would use my private Python version. Also $PYTHONPATH pointed to this local installation. This way, I did not need to sudo–install packages - virtualenv took care of the rest.

  When I run cap deploy:update in a directory on my local machine (via cygwin), "C:" magically appears in the directory. Sure enough, I can cd to it and it's my windows C: drive. Now I'm afraid to delete it, but I definitely don't want it in this directory (a rails project under /home/username/blah/blah).   I'm developing a home security application. One thing I'd like to do is automatically turn it off and on based on whether or not I'm at home. I have a phone with Wifi that automatically connects to my network when I'm home. The phone connects and gets its address via DHCP. While I could configure it to use a static IP, I'd rather not. Is there any kind of 'Ping' or equivalent in C# / .Net that can take the MAC address of a device and tell me whether or not it's currently active on the network?

So I open my project using GNU Emacs 23.2.1. To name a few I have tried so far and why they are unsuitable: oggenc is single-threaded and would require me to automate it myself, mencoder requires the input to also contain video, and abcde assumes the input is a CD. The ideal tool should be multi-threaded, and support inputing multiple files located in different directories simultaneously. CLI or GUI makes no matter. Does such a tool exist?

  I'm looking at the MigrateWubi page but I'm not sure if I need to change the partition directories to the ones I created, and if so, I'm not too sure which ones I need to change. Here are the partitions I've made: Should I just copy and paste: sudo bash wubi-move.sh /dev/sda5 /dev/sda6 into my terminal or something else? Also, do I enter just this one line or do i need to enter any other commands in there? Thanks!
