• Outline view from UITableView

  Hi guys, I need to implement a 1 level outline view out of UITableView. The cells which have children in them will have a '+' symbol and if user taps on it, the cells below it should slide down and the children cells of current selected row should appear. The sliding of cells should be visible and if the user taps '-' button of the already expanded row, the children cells should slide back into the parent. I have tried googling but did not find any pointers. How should I start, should I subclass UITableView? Or should I implement my own view sub-class and handle all the stuff there? I somehow feel it would be easier to sub-class UITableView because it will handle all the row selection for us, but I cannot figure out how to do it. Thanks and Regards, Raj

• Displaying desired properties from search results with grails compass

  Hi, I've been stumped with the problem of displaying a selected set of properties returned as a result via a Compass query in grails. I have 300 columns in my domain class and what I'd like to do is to return ONLY THOSE values I specify (around 10 - 15 properties/fields/columns). All the 300 columns have been indexed, btw. I know I can do this using Lucene by cycling through returned hits and selectively calling a=getField(column_name), et c. My qiuestion is, how do I do the same thing using thee Compass Grails plugin ? Any help will gratefully be appreciated. Thanks in anticipation, Ombud

• How to perform bulk update using rails admin

  ![enter image description here][2] I just have to perform a Bulk update for my products using the action which i have defined. While inspecting the link, it displays the following: onclick="jQuery('#bulk_action').val('bulk_add_to_categories'); jQuery('#bulk_form').submit(); return false;" But when I click on it I get this error. I need to do something like this I need to have an separate UI for all the products that have came from that bulk action, and then put them into the selected categories, but I am not able to do that. Can anyone help me on this? Any help would be great. I have seen lot of tutorial and read the rails admin github page but I was not able to find anything helpful. Please guide me.

Now I'd like to expand / collapse the groups with a single mouse-click (not with a double click as the default behaviour). • Make two page navigations on top ang bottom of a list

  I'm creating a simple PHP page that reads CSV file content and display some selected columns to users in pages Currently, I'm reading each line and display it immediately. Because of this method, I only know total of lines after finishing reading entire file( searching in file also). What I want is displaying two page navigations on the top and bottom of the list. Like this: Page 1|2|3|4 Field 1|Field 2|Field 3|Field 4|Field 5....|Field n Row1 Row2 .... Rown Page 1|2|3|4 After displaying all rows, bottom page nav, I used jquery function: insertBefore to insert another page navi to the top. Problems are: 1) Top page nav not displayed in IE8 but displayed ater pressing F5(worked in FF, Chrome). 2) Using insertBefore function, the top page nav is suddenly poppep up afer displaying the bottom one. It doesn't look naturally Any suggestion?

• What is the point of JComboBox's getSelectedItem()?

  I just read the JavaDoc for JComboBox (I promise I have a life... I wasn't reading through for fun. =P), and I think the problems I'm having with my program can be attributed to the getSelectedItem() method. The documentation says: Returns the current selected item. If the combo box is editable, then this value may not have been added to the combo box with addItem, insertItemAt or the data constructors. If you can't get values that were added with those methods or with the constructor, of what use is the method? And how can I get the value from an "editable" JComboBox? • Object Reference Error filling a datarow

  This is the code: Dim dr() As DataRow = DataSet.Tables("TableName").Select("EVENTNAME = '" & name & "'") I get an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." Error when this line is executed. It is looping through a list of selected items in a listbox. I think it has to do with how I have the datarow declared because I can look at the name and I see it ok and I also do a null check on the name before I use it. Visual Studio 2008, VB.NET. Any ideas? Yep it was a wrong table name. I guess after looking at the code for 8 hours that minor detail I just wasn't thinking to check. Thanks!

• posting php variable that contains apostrophe

  I am having trouble posting a php variable to another page. The variable is retrieved from a dropdown selected by the user and if it contains an apostrophe, I only get the part prior to the apostrophe posted. I.E. If I want to post "Cooper's Hawk" I am only receiving "Cooper". How do I escape this properly so that I can post the entire string? This is what I have: echo '<form method="POST" action="advanced_search2.php">'; $dropdown_english_name = "<select class = 'dropdown' name='english_name'> <option>ALL</option>"; $posted_value = ($_POST['english_name']); echo;$posted_value;die; So, to clarify from the above code, the posted string is "cooper's hawk" but the echoed output is "Cooper". • In Eclipse, how to open a file browser in the directory of the currently edited file

  Hi, I know it's possible in eclipse to open file browsers from your project's resource browser, but is it possible for files that aren't part of your project ? Typically external includes are not found in your resource browser... If there is the equivalent of $(resource_loc) for the editor, it would work.. But I wasn't able to find it. Can anyone help me on this ? thanks! JC EDIT : I Found StartExplorer, but it's a joke of a plug-in. It is hardcoded to use WINDOWS explorer or cmd.exe. Also, it still requires you to use the resource browser. Other than that it can open paths selected in the editor, but they must be full paths.

  I have 2 comboBoxes in my View of Griffon App (or groovy swingBuilder) country = comboBox(items:country(), selectedItem: bind(target:model, 'country', value:model.country), actionPerformed: controller.getStates) state = comboBox(items:bind(source:model, sourceProperty:'states'), selectedItem: bind(target:model, 'state', value:model.state)) The getStates() in the controller, populates @Bindable List states = [] in the model based on the country selected. The above code doesn't give any errors, but the states are never populated. I changed the states from being List to a range object(dummy), it gives me an error MissingPropertyException No such property items for class java.swing.JComboBox. Am I missing something here? There are a couple of entries related to this on Nabble but nothing is clear. The above code works if I had a label instead of a second comboBox.

• Can't see drop down list in Excel VBA

  I've created a very simple drop down list in excel. It holds a sequence of integers loaded from a cell range (years). I need to read the selected value in vba. However I can't even seem to find the control! I've tried CboYear Sheet2.CboYear Worksheets("SheetName").CboYear etc. etc. From everywhere in VBA this control just doesn't exist. All the tutorial I find seem to assume that using just the control name will work. I've tried the code in the sheet itself, the workbook, and a module, no luck.

  I am trying to create a dialog box that will appear only if the browser selected is IE (any version) however I get this error: Message: HTML Parsing Error: Unable to modify the parent container element before the child element is closed (KB927917) That's all in "Line/Char/Code" 0 so I do not know where is the error. Why the first alert (inner..) outputs a valid entriesResult.length while the second one (outer..) always outputs a 0? I tought javascript arrays are always passed by reference, what's wrong whit my code? Thank you :)

  hi, I'm using Views for some nodes, and I want to display a different View title according to which taxonomy tags are selected in my filter. I already have taxonomy field for each node in my view. But this is not what I need. I basically need to display all the currently filtered tags on the top of my view. I was wondering if I can solve adding some line with php, how ? Thanks Update: I'm now using the Views Header field in Views settings, but it only processes html code, not php, so I cannot add taxonomy terms. Is it because of my CCK Editor settings ? thanks

• Possible to Freeze Columns in a WPF ListView/GridView?

  I currently have a GridView inside a ListView.View. The GridView columns will far exceed the width of the screen, so there will always be horizontal scrolling. What I would like to do is to have certain columns always remain on the screen regardless of scrolling. So the first x columns from the left are frozen (ala Excel), and the rest can scroll. It does not need to be dynamic/user selected--I know in advance which columns need to be frozen. Is this possible?

• iPhone development: Best method to allow user to chose search scope

  Hi, I'm developing my first iPhone app and want to allow the user to select the scope of their search in a more complex way than the 'scope buttons' permit. The app is related to wines and I want to the user to be able to select the 'color' (Red, White, Blush, etc.) first, and then select the type/varietal within that category. Right now, I'm using the UISearchBar's scope buttons for the colors and tapping the button opens a view with the selection of colors. This is okay except that once the 'Red' button has been selected, I can't select it a second time to change my choice of type (e.g., change from 'Merlot' to 'Syrrah', etc.) If there's a better way to do this, I'm willing to scrap my method and start from scratch. • Visual Studio - "attach to particular instance of the process" macro

  I guess prety much everyone who does a lot of debugging have a handy macro in Visual Studio (with shortcut to it on a toolbar) which when called automatically attaches to a particular process (identified by name). it saves a lot of time rather than clicking "Debug" - "Attach to the process ...", but it only works if one is running a single instance of the process one wants to attach to. If theres is more than one instance of particular process in memory - the first one (with a smaller PID?) is being choose by debugger. Does anyone have a macro which shows a dialog (if more that 1 process with a specified name running) and lets developer to select to one he/she really wants to attach to. I guess the selection could be made based on a windwow caption text (which would be suffice in most of cases) and when the particular instance is selected macro passes the PID of the process to the Debugger object? If someone has that macro or knows how to write it - please share. Thanks.

I have a code snippet that looks like this: [tableView beginUpdates]; [tableView deleteRowsAtIndexPaths:[NSArray arrayWithObject:indexPath] withRowAnimation:UITableViewRowAnimationLeft]; [tableView insertRowsAtIndexPaths:[NSArray arrayWithObject:[array indexOfObject:[array objectAtIndex:indexPath.row]]] withRowAnimation:UITableViewRowAnimationLeft]; [tableView endUpdates]; [tableView reloadData]; It gets executed when a user clicks on an accessory. The first part is only there to provide a smooth animation, and does not really matter, as the tableView is reloaded milliseconds later, but as I said, it's there to provide an animation. It is supposed to move a selected object from its current indexPath to the value from an array at the same indexPath. Obviously, this code does not work, so I just want to know what can be done to fix it? PS: I get a warning when compiling, too. The usual "passing argument 1 of 'arrayWithObject:' makes pointer from integer without a cast..." (line 3)
