    I'm currently researching the best way to approach building a javascript widget someone can embed on their site, which would retrieve and display information from an external MySQL database. The gist of the widget would mimic the needs/functionality of Twitter's widget (http://twitter.com/about/resources/widgets), where it uses some combination of JS, PHP and/or AJAX and retrieves information from a MySQL DB with secure (or at least somewhat safe) cross-browser access. Thoughts or ideas on the best and most reliable way to approach something like this?

    I have a web service hosted on a web server, I invoke the web service using jquery ajax. The service returns results successfully when invoked locally from the server, but it fails when invoked from a remote client machine (not in the same domain). I see the request fail in the firebug returning error (401 UnAuthorized) and the response has the following error (Request format is unrecognized for URL unexpectedly ending in '/List').

    I got page A which is a normal HTML page and page which is an AJAX response page. And I want to prevent CSRF attacks by tokens. This still requires numerous HTML files and I was wondering if there was a way to have a single html file and load content into the main page from it instead? What about an xml file? However, when I click on the date, I get an error: inst is null.
