• in tcl, how do I replace a line in a file?

  let's say I opened a file, then parsed it into lines. Then I use a loop: foreach line $lines {} inside the loop, for some lines, I want to replace them inside the file with different lines. Is it possible? Or do I have to write to another temporary file, then replace the files when I'm done? e.g., if the file contained AA BB and then I replace capital letters with lower case letters, I want the original file to contain aa bb Thanks!

• All partitions missing when copying

  I bought a new 320GB SATA hard drive few months ago no recently when i try to copy something to the drive after about 20 seconds the all the partitions in the hard drive suddenly disappears. The hard drive is not shown in either Disk manager or device manager. To get the HD work i have to restart the PC again.The same thing happens when i try to copy. Even when i play any audio or video after abt 5 minutes i get the same problem. The drives are NTFS and im running Windows XP.. Xan some one please help me solve the problem??

  Hai I am developing an application in C#.I have a folde called myfolder it contains a file called mypoints.bmp.the folder myfolder is in my project folder it is in D drive .the path is D:\Myproject\myfolder\mypoints.bmp Now in my program whereever i need mypoints.bmp i hardcoded the wholw path.when my project is copied in to a different system under C drive i am not able to run mu project because of the hardcoded path.HOw can i give the path so that there will not be any problem evenif it is loaded in to a different system under a different drive.Please help. • sanitation script in php for login credentials...

  What I am looking for currently is a simple, basic, login credentials sanitation script. I understand that I make a function to do so and I have one...but all it does right now is strip tags... am I doomed to use replace? or is there a way i can just remove all special characters and spaces and limit it to only letters and numbers...then as for the password limit it to only letters and numbers exclimation points, periods, and other special chars that cannot affect my SQL query.   I have an application on a pen drive, which executes some flash files on the same USB flash drive. when i run the application with in the drive, the application just keeps running in the back ground without running the flash files. When i copy the application on desktop, it runs the flash files in the USB. Also i programmed the app to write log file, when i run the application with in USB, the app is running but the log file is not getting written, when i remove the pen drive, the file gets written. What might be the problem, I am using VC++ , VS 2008 to build the application.
