The application have a good internet connection and there is no problem reaching the app server-side api. I see in analytics that lots of startups and click-events the past few days are lost, even I know the traffic is normal since i can see statistics from the the server api. In the analytics reports I see a day by day under-reporting. So the problems seems to be spreading/growing to all the devices using this application. Im wondering why google does not answer this in their mail-groups - several people have complained about this...well, well... I found this thread relevant: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/682560/java-net-socketexception-broken-pipe But, I'm still not sure if there is anything I can do to fix it or not. If there is nothing I can do to fix it, I guess its not my fault that it got broken. But i got a feeling it is, since the problem got dramatically worse on the last deploy to Android market.     Hi at all, I have 2 site: example.com and exampletwo.com I want that when a user login on example.com then he is automatically authenticated also on exampletwo.com How can I do that ? I use Django + Nginx on first website and Tornado framework + Tornado server on second website. Thanks ;) . P.S. If you don't know this platforms ( Django or Tornado or Nginx ), I accept also a solution for a generic PHP+Apache platform and then I will do some research :)

  • Replacing DropBox with: Amazon S3 + SSL + GPG/TrueCrypt + Mounting on OSX ??

    So, right now we're using DropBox to share various data files around between approximately 10 Mac OS X systems. However, we already have an S3 account and everyone on the lowest DropBox plan of $10/mo seems too expensive. We'd like to avoid any kind of local storage (share a disk on a desktop or something) since we're a geographically distributed team). So, I am contemplating something that would allow us to replace DropBox with our own home-grown solution. We are all fairly technical people and/or smart enough to follow some steps, so if it's not as "user friendly" as DropBox we're all comfortable with that. There are plenty of docs out there that have bits and pieces of what I want but some of the tools don't seem to fit the requirements: Transport security via SSL to the bucket Encryption of bucket contents Bi-directional syncing Most of the scripts I can find on the internet use "duplicity" which appears to fail #1 (it doesn't look like duplicity supports SSL to S3 - the docs don't state but the protocol looks plain old http http://www.nongnu.org/duplicity/duplicity.1.html#sect6 ) Many scripts use gpg to encrypt files. This seems like it could work, however I have to make sure that each OSX client is able to use the same key to encrypt and decrypt files (key management is left to me to manage). FTP and other client-based apps don't seem to support this at all. Finally, most of the scripts use one-way replication, e.g. using Amazon S3 as a simple backup store. As we'd be using Amazon S3 as the "repository" they fail this one. Whew. So, I'd love a single tool that does this but after an exhaustive search I don't think one exists. In my mind, the magical tool would be some combination of TrueCrypt and rsync. I'd be happy just knowing which tools out there can fulfill my 3 requirements, after that I can stitch together the rest. Any thoughts? THANKS!

I found KeyboardFocusManager.getGlobalActiveWindow() but I can't get it to work right. A cross platform solution is preferable, but if one doesn't exist, then I'm developing for linux with X.Org.     When I run "cabal update" on my Mac (Snow Leopard, Intel), I get: % cabal update Downloading the latest package list from hackage.haskell.org cabal: Codec.Compression.Zlib: incompatible zlib version Anyone else seeing this? Reinstalling the Haskell Platform hasn't helped. I'm unable to install or update Cabal packages at the moment, so I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!

    All, I have been asked to evaluate the Android platform for our product and I am looking at various options, I am only just scratching the surface just now and the one thing that is bothering me is that I cannot see how to compile code as straight ARM code (no Thumb), I know that Thumb runs slower and we will need the performance in key sections of our code. I think it should just be setting the -march flag in the LOCAL_CFLAGS of the Android.mk file, but I cannot get that to work... Can anyone help. Russell

  • High load average, low CPU and IO (Centos 5.7)

    A Drupal 7 site with CiviCRM, after running smoothly for a year on a 1&1 VPS suddenly became unresponsive. Now pages eventually load, but can take more than a minute. Looking at resource use in Virtuozzo, the load average carries a warning, and has remained above 1. While I understand this isn't particularly high, this is a change from when the site was working. Here is a typical snapshot of top: top - 03:10:32 up 3:21, 1 user, load average: 1.16, 1.22, 1.30 Tasks: 43 total, 1 running, 42 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie Cpu(s): 0.1%us, 0.1%sy, 0.1%ni, 99.7%id, 0.0%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.0%si, 0.0%st Mem: 2097152k total, 1015112k used, 1082040k free, 0k buffers Swap: 0k total, 0k used, 0k free, 0k cached CPU idle level never seems to go much below 70%. wa is virtually always at 0. There appears to be lots of free memory.   • Broken Creative DTT3500 Digital

    Hello, many years ago I bought a Creative DTT3500 Digital surround speakers system. It's been a while since my home theatre started behaving strange. During the past 6 months, I have noticed that the amplifier needed some time before correctly playing digital audio. Until a couple of weeks ago, it needed up to 5 minutes of very noisy "warm up" before playing an "almost" clear audio. Today, I found that even using the analog input (completely disabling digital inputs) the noise persists. Powering off and on the speakers doesn't work. Now, it's reasonable that after almost 10 years, the amplifier got broken. My problem is that I can't simply replace the speakers with another kit from another brand, since 2 speakers in my room are placed in the back wall, with coaxial cables going under the floor but not completely inside a single tube. I mean, I have coaxial extension cables starting from the DTT3500 amplifier, going into the wall, then under the floor in a plastic cable tube, then exiting the tube (still under the floor), connecting to the male coaxial connector of the original cable supplied by Creative, and continuing up to the point close to my bed where the speakers are. I could replace the speakers **only as soon as the new speakers have the same coaxial to bi-polar cables that Creative ships with DTT3500 Another option might be "repairing the amplifier", but I don't know if it's feasible, what should I or a technician look for in the amplifier, and how much would it cost (is it worth to repair or buy a new kit considering the problem above? What do you suggest me to do, basing on the above observation? Thank you.

  • MySQL is killing the server IO.

    I manage a fairly large/busy vBulletin forums (running on gigenet cloud), the database is ~ 10 GB (~9 milion posts, ~60 queries per second), lately MySQL have been grinding the disk like there's no tomorrow according to iotop and slowing the site. The last idea I can think of is using replication, but I'm not sure how much that would help and worried about database sync. I'm out of ideas, any tips on how to improve the situation would be highly appreciated. Specs : Debian Lenny 64bit ~12Ghz (6x2GHz) CPU, 7520gb RAM, 160gb disk. Kernel : 2.6.32-4-amd64 mysqld Ver 5.1.54-0.dotdeb.0 for debian-linux-gnu on x86_64 ((Debian)) Other software: vBulletin 3.8.4 memcached 1.2.2 PHP 5.3.5-0.dotdeb.0 (fpm-fcgi) (built: Jan 7 2011 00:07:27) lighttpd/1.4.28 (ssl) - a light and fast webserver PHP and vBulletin are configured to use memcached. I'd like to generate cross-platform paths relative to Maven's built-in property ${basedir}. The problem is that under Windows, ${basedir} resolves to a path containing Windows-style slashes. Is there an easy way for me to get ${basedir} into a form that always uses Unix-style slashes even under Windows?

  • Using Virtualbox Bridge Networking fails connection from Guest OS to Oracle XE running on Host

    I am trying to make a JDBC connection from a VirtualBox Ubuntu Guest OS to an Oracle XE database running o Host. However, the connection is refused. Here are the details of my environment: VirtualBox: 4.1.4 Host OS: Windows 7 Guest OS: Ubuntu server 11.4 Networking mode: Bridged network Oracle XE database running on Host Issue: WebLogic server runs on the Ubuntu virtualbox. It attempts to connect to an Oracle XE database running on the Host OS (windows 7) with listening port 1521. On the Guest OS (Ubuntu), I am able to ping the Host computer from the Guest OS. However, when I configured a JDBC data source on the WebLogic server on the Guest OS to connect to the Oracle XE, connection took a long time, and eventually I received an "IO Exception: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection". When I tried "telnet host-ip 1521", no connection was established. With Bridge networking, I can make bi-directional connections between the host and the guest OS (e.g. connection through ssh and ftp). Is there anything I missed in the setup of Bridge networking and the guest/host OS? Note that I was able to make the same connection within a normal networking environment (i.e. not using virtual box). I am not sure whether Bridge networking is a good option for the work described above. Should I use host-only networking mode? If so, any specific configurations I need to perform? I read through the Virtual box document on setting up the host-only network, however, it lacks of details. I followed the procedures described in the manual, and couldn't even connect to the host. Could some experts here enlighten me on this issue? Much appreciated. Licheng

    I have a 128-bit unsigned integer A and a 64-bit unsigned integer B. What's the fastest way to calculate A % B - that is the (64-bit) remainder from dividing A by B? I'm looking to do this in either C or assembly language, but I need to target the 32-bit x86 platform. This unfortunately means that I cannot take advantage of compiler support for 128-bit integers, nor of the x64 architecture's ability to perform the required operation in a single instruction.
