file input - prevent selection of certain types of files and size

Is there a way to prevent the user from selecting a file that is not a specified file type when they browser for the file on their computer? For example, when a user browseses to upload an image file I would for them to only see images (jpg, png, ect.) that are less than 20mb. Is this something that can be accomplished with asp.net mvc and jquery or do I need to use flash or a java applet?

DRUPAL, Views: exposed filter.. how can I unselect all tags ?

hi, I'm using Drupal, Views, tag exposed filter and I would like to allow my customer to select the default tags from back-end. However when he selects some tags is not possible anymore to unselect all of them. See initial picture: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/72686/Picture%201.png Now all the tags are unselected, but if I select just one of them, then I cannot anymore come back to the initial configuration. (at least one tag remains selected). How can I fix this ? thanks

The reason why I store it within this folder is since these images need to be cleared once in a while and it's so much easier just to clear the tmp directory using tmpwatch. Hi, I'm working on Steganography application. I need to hide a message inside an image file and secure it with a password, with not much difference in the file size. I am using Least Significant Bit algorithm and could do it successfully with BMP files but it does not work with JPEG, PNG or TIFF files. Does this algorithm work with these files at all? Is there a better way to achieve this? Thanks.

I have a 16x16 sprite in PNG or GIF image format, and would like to display it on a website at 64 x 64 in all its pixelated glory. In Firefox 3.6+ and IE I can do this easily with CSS using image-rendering and -ms-interpolation-mode, but as this doesn't work in all browsers I'd like to resize the image on the fly using PHP instead. What's the best way to resize images using nearest-neighbor interpolation in PHP?

I need to find the shortest path through this graph that starts at 'start', ends at 'end', and passes through all of the 'mustpass' nodes (in any order). How to replicate PS multiply layer mode

Does anybody know of a good way to replicate Photoshop's multiply layer mode using either an image or CSS? I'm working on a project that has thumbnails that get a color overlay when you hover over them, but the designer used a layer set to multiply and I can't figure out how to produce it on the web. The best thing I've come up with is either using rgba or a transparent png, but even then it doesn't look right.

Can anybody explain why load test result on Graph are different form load test result on Table Page. If compare Min and Avg page response time they are the same. Fixed background on iPhone Safari

iPhone Safari seems to have some sort of problem whereby a page with css like this: body { background: #000 url(fixedimage.png) fixed repeat-x; } ...doesn't actually lead to a fixed image. It scrolls as the user scrolls. I've seen plenty of people kvetching about this on the internets, but no real solution. Does anyone have any ideas?
