  • Notification when popup is closed using Silverlight's HtmlPage.PopupWindow()

    I am popping up an HTML page from a Silverlight application using the HtmlPage.PopupWindow() method. I am trying to handle the event of when the popup window is closed from within Silverlight. This is how I am attempting to do this: var window = HtmlPage.PopupWindow(new Uri("http://mypopup..."), "popup", options); EventHandler<HtmlEventArgs> windowClosed = (sender, e) => { // would like to refresh the page when popup is closed... HtmlPage.Document.Submit(); }; window.AttachEvent("onUnload", windowClosed); However the event handler never seems to get called. Is this something that is possible or am I missing something? The Silverlight app and the HTML popup page are on the same domain, however they are actually on different ports. I was thinking that maybe the pages being on different ports would be considered a cross-site restriction and cause the JavaScript to fail.

Anyone have any idea why is this? Thanks.

  • Dynamically loaded control - how can I access a value in Page_Init

    I am loading a LinkButton dynamically when a user clicks on another LinkButton. I am attaching an event handler to it. When the user clicks on the dynamically loaded LinkButton, the event does not fire. From what I've been reading, I understand this is because when the page posts back the dynamically loaded control no longer exists. It looks like I'm supposed to make sure this control is recreated in Page_Init. The dynamically created LinkButton is dependedent on a value (Product ID). I need someway to access this value so I can properly create the control. ViewState is not accessible and I'm concerned if I use Session it could time out and then that wouldn't help. Any ideas? Also, I hardcoded a Product ID value just for testing, and that still did not cause the event to fire.   • Javascript Noob Question. Need Help With Simple Script

    Hi everyone, I am new to JavaScript (only a couple of days of reading a book) and I am stuck on this code snippet. I have looked at it over and over again but cannot seem to figure out why it is not working. I am sure it is something really simple that I have just looked over but I really just need a fresh pair of eyes to look at this. The code is supposed to update a placeholder image on a page without the page having to reload. But when I am clicking on the link of an image, it is taking me to the link where the image is located instead of replacing the placeholder image.     WLS provides a set of Managed Beans (MBeans) to configure, monitor and manage WLS resources. We can use the WLS MBeans to automate some of the tasks related to the configuration and maintenance of the WLS instance. The MBeans can be accessed a number of ways; using various UIs and programmatically using Java or WLST Python scripts.For customization development we can use the features to e.g. manage the deployed customization in MDS, control logging levels, automate deployment of dependent libraries etc. This article is an introduction on how to access and use the WLS MBeans. The goal is to illustrate the various access methods in a single article; the details of the features are left to the linked documentation.This article covers Windows based environment, steps for Linux would be similar however there would be some differences e.g. on how the file paths are defined. MBeansThe WLS MBeans can be categorized to runtime and configuration MBeans.The Runtime MBeans can be used to access the runtime information about the server and its resources. The data from runtime beans is only available while the server is running. The runtime beans can be used to e.g. check the state of the server or deployment.The Configuration MBeans contain information about the configuration of servers and resources. The configuration of the domain is stored in the config.xml file and the configuration MBeans can be used to access and modify the configuration data. For more information on the WLS MBeans refer to: Understanding WebLogic Server MBeans WLS MBean reference Java Management Extensions (JMX)We can use JMX APIs to access the WLS MBeans. This allows us to create Java programs to configure, monitor, and manage WLS resources. In order to use the WLS MBeans we need to add the following library into the class-path: WL_HOME\lib\wljmxclient.jar Connecting to a WLS MBean server The WLS MBeans are contained in a Mbean server, depending on the requirement we can connect to (MBean Server / JNDI Name): Domain Runtime MBean Server weblogic.management.mbeanservers.domainruntime Runtime MBean Server weblogic.management.mbeanservers.runtime Edit MBean Server weblogic.management.mbeanservers.edit To connect to the WLS MBean server first we need to create a map containing the credentials; Hashtable<String, String> param = new Hashtable<String, String>(); param.put(Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL, "weblogic");        param.put(Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS, "weblogic1");        param.put(JMXConnectorFactory.PROTOCOL_PROVIDER_PACKAGES, "weblogic.management.remote"); These define the user, password and package containing the protocol. WebLogic Scripting Tool (WLST) The WebLogic Scripting Tool (WLST) is a command-line scripting environment that we can access the same WLS MBeans. The tool is located under: $MW_HOME\oracle_common\common\bin\wlst.bat Do note that there are several instances of the wlst script under the $MW_HOME, each of them works, however the commands available vary, so we want to use the one under “oracle_common”. The tool is started in offline mode. In offline mode we can access and manipulate the domain configuration. In online mode we can access the runtime information. We connect to the Administration Server : connect("weblogic","weblogic1", "t3://127.0.0.1:7101") In both online and offline modes we can navigate the WLS MBean using commands like "ls" to print content and "cd" to navigate between objects, for example: All the commands available can be obtained with: help('all') For details of the tool refer to WebLogic Scripting Tool and for the commands available WLST Command and Variable Reference. Also do note that the WLST tool can be invoked from Java code in Embedded Mode. Running Scripts The WLST tool allows us to automate tasks using Python scripts in Script Mode. The script can be manually created or recorded by the WLST tool. Example commands of recording a script: startRecording("c:/temp/recording.py") <commands that we want to record> stopRecording() We can run the script from WLST: execfile("c:/temp/recording.py") We can also run the script from the command line: C:\apps\Oracle\Middleware\oracle_common\common\bin\wlst.cmd c:/temp/recording.py There are various sample scripts are provided with the WLS instance. UI to Access the WLS MBeans There are various UIs through which we can access the WLS MBeans. Oracle Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware Control Oracle WebLogic Server Administration Console Fusion Middleware Control MBean Browser In the integrated JDeveloper environment only the Oracle WebLogic Server Administration Console is available to us. For more information refer to the documentation, one noteworthy feature in the console is the ability to record WLST scripts based on the navigation. In addition to the UIs above the JConsole included in the JDK can be used to access the WLS MBeans.     After looking at the answers here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/497094/how-do-i-find-out-which-javascript-element-has-focus http://stackoverflow.com/questions/483741/how-to-determine-which-html-page-element-has-focus I can see that using document.activeElement is a great way to know which element has focus. But how do I use document.activeElement to detect changes to focus (or maybe I don't and I need to research a better way. Want to know if I am barking up the wrong tree).

  • Click in a ListView item changes status of elements inside the item?

    Hi, I don't know exactly how to explain this problem, but I'll try. I have a ListView with several items. Each item has inside a TextView and two ImageView. I want the ImageView change when I click on them, and I want to open a context menu when I press for a long time into the ListView item. For the ImageView, everything works properly. For the whole item, I can show the context menu after a long press, but my problem is that the ImageView changes as well when I am pressing the TextView, for example.   • jQuery unbinding click event when maximum number of children are displayed

    I have a personal details form that alows you to enter a certain number of dependants which is determined by the JSP application. The first dependant is visible and the user has the option to add dependants up to the maximum number. All other dependants are hidden by default and are displayed when a user clicks the 'Add another dependant button'. When the maximum number of dependants has been reached the button is greyed out and a message is generated via jQuery and displayed to tell the user exactly this. The issue i am having is when the maximum number of dependants has been reached the message is displayed but then the user can click the button to add more dependants and the message keeps on generating. I thought unbinding the click event would sort this but it seems to still be able to generate a second message. However if say DropdownList2 has a selection made then I make a selection with either DropDownList1 or DropdownList3, then SomeEvent fires again. What is causing this behavior and how do I get just a single raising of that event? I suspect that when the viewstate for the dynamcially created dropdownlists is restored and the selection restored, then the event is fired because technically the selected index did change when the control was recreated. The reason I suspect this is that the event fires the for each dropdownlist...

  • WPF: Textbox not firing onTextInput event

    So basically, I have a bunch of TextBoxes that the user gets to fill out. I've got a button that I want to keep disabled until all the TextBoxes have had text entered in them. Here is a sample XAML TextBox that I'm using: <TextBox Name="DelayedRecallScore" TextInput="CheckTextBoxFilled" Width="24" /> And here is the function that I'm trying to trigger: //Disables the OK button until all score textboxes have content private void CheckTextBoxFilled(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { /* foreach (TextBox scorebox in TextBoxList) { if (string.IsNullOrEmpty(scorebox.Text)) { Ok_Button.IsEnabled = false; return; } } Ok_Button.IsEnabled = true; */ MessageBox.Show("THIS MAKES NO SENSE"); } The MessageBox is not showing up when TextInput should be getting triggered. As an experiment I tried triggering CheckTextBoxFilled() on PreviewTextInput, and it worked fine then, meaning that for whatever reason, the function just isn't getting called. I also have a validation function that is triggered by PreviewTextInput, which works as it should. At first I thought PreviewTextInput might somehow be interfering with TextInput, so I took PreviewTextInput off the TextBox, but that hasn't managed to fix anything. I'm completely befuddled by why this might happen, so any help would be appreciated.

To bind the custom event handler I use wx.EVT_LEFT_DOWN(self.styCtrl, self.OnMouseClick) def OnMouseClick(self, evt): evt.Skip() foo() I want the built in event handler to fire and complete prior to foo().

My onmouseout function is as follows : function disable_dropdown(d) { document.getElementById(d).style.visibility = "hidden"; } Can someone please tell me how I can stop the event from bubbling up? I tried the solutions (stopPropogation etc) provided on other sites, but I'm not sure how to implement them in this context. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks a lot!

    I have this problem in a bigger Project...... so I set up a 'Testpoject' as Proof of Concept: New Silverlight-Application Add Listbox Fill listbox with a few Checkboxes Register listBox1_MouseLeftButtonDown register listBox1_MouseRightButtonDown You will see, that the listBox1_MouseLeftButtonDown won't fire under any circumstances.... listBox1_MouseRightButtonDown however fires just fine. I tried using a custom Class deriving from ListBox and overriding, assuming something in the ListBox Class was setting e.Handled = false, but this did not change the behaviour, either. Any Ideas on why this happens and how to fix? (This problem also stops the 'parent'-control from receiving the Click-Event... so the Event-passing is broke)

  • Webkit and Safari fire mousemove even when mouse doesn't move

    I've read about issues where the mousemove event is fired twice in Safari/Webkit, but the problem I'm facing is that mousemove fires even when the mouse is not moved. That is: it already fires when the mouse cursor is positioned above the context that the event is attached to when the page is loaded/refreshed. And because I'm attaching it to 'document' (entire viewport of the browser), it fires right away in Safari. I've tried to attach it to to html element, to the body and to a wrapper div. No change. $(document).bind('mousemove', function() { alert('Mouse moved!'); $(document).unbind('mousemove'); }); Is does work ok in other browsers. Anyone seeing what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.
