• Draw rectangle-like objects on a bitmap

  I am performing OCR (optical character recognition) on a bunch of images. Images are grouped into different projects (tickets, credit cards, insurance cards etc). Each image represents an actual product (for instance, if we have images of credit cards, picture1.jpg is image of my credit card, picture2.jpg is image of your credit card,... you get it). I have a settings.xml file, which contains regions of the image, where OCR should be performed. So, first I load a template image for a project (an empty credit card). Then I would like to draw a rectangle around a text, where OCR should be performed. I guess this isn't hard, but it would be great if I could also move and resize this rectangle object in the picture. I have to display all regions (rectangles) on the picture also. Also - there will probably be a list of regions in a listview, so when you click a region in this listview, it should mark it on the picture in a green color for example. Do you know for a library, which I could use? Or a link with some tips how to create such objects?

  I just started learning knockout this week and everything has gone well except for this one issue. I have a list of items that I sort multiple ways but one of the ways I want to sort needs to have a different display than the standard list.   Just taking a simple example. We have a question on stackoverflow and while posting a question we want to validate title_of_question, description_of_question that they should be present. Now we have a another model tag having habtm relationshio with question model. How to validate that while saving the question. • External Javascript file fails to receive variables from previous javascript block

  I've been searching the net for several hours and can't find an answer in the whole "external js file"-jungle. I hope you guys can help! In short: My external javascript file doesn't seem to get the variables which I defined in the main.php file.. • Jquery question : maintain focus upon appending a row?

  The function below checks whether the id entered is already in the database, and if it is, then it adds some html to the table. I'm not sure if it's directly related to my issue or not, but, essentially, a user will place the focus on the id input field and enters an id. Using ajax, it posts to a php script and returns data if rows are found and nothing if it doesn't. If the user then tabs over to the next input field (zipcode), or clicks in another input field, they essentially have to do so twice. The cursor "flashes" in the field briefly and then focuses out. I tried adding in a focus(), but the behavior didn't change.   I have an upload script that write a index.html file, I modified it to mail me the results, however the point to the root, since the email isn't in the root, the image doesn't load. How do I append the code to add "http://www.home.html/uploaded" prior to the ". $value ." so that the images show up in the email.   I have a page which contains an iframe and I want to track the history of the iframe only. • jQuery doesn't work in <head>?!

  This code is supposed to make a slideshow out of stacked list-elements (I commented out the CSS so I can see what's going on) by fading out the topmost elements until only the first one is visible, then fade in the topmost element and the rest and start anew. If I put the script below my content inside the <body> and throw out the $(function() { it works perfectly fine, but in the <head> nothing happens. • JQM dialog is opening in new page instead of dialog

  Thank you for taking the time to read my question. I'm trying to get a dialog box to open using Jquery mobile. I followed the documentation and used the data-rel="dialog" notation along with the data-transition="pop". Instead of a dialog appearing on the same page, I get a brand new page with the dialog appearing. Can someone kindly assist me on how to fix this functionality.
