  • Check if NSURL is Local File

    - by golfromeo
    This is a pretty simple question- how can I check if a NSURL is linking to a local file? I know, RTFM, but I checked the documentation and I don't seem to see any methods related to this. The only methods I did find were -isFileReferenceURL and -isFileURL, but I think these only check if the URL directly links to a file. note: I'm making an iPhone app, so by "local file" I mean a .html file stored in the project's resources. Thanks for any help in advance.

  • Closing a hook that captures global input events

    - by Margus
    Intro Here is an example to illustrate the problem. Consider I am tracking and displaying mouse global current position and last click button and position to the user. Here is an image: To archive capturing click events on windows box, that would and will be sent to the other programs event messaging queue, I create a hook using winapi namely user32.dll library. This is outside JDK sandbox, so I use JNA to call the native library. This all works perfectly, but it does not close as I expect it to. My question is - How do I properly close following example program? Example source Code below is not fully written by Me, but taken from this question in Oracle forum and partly fixed. import java.awt.AWTException; import java.awt.Dimension; import java.awt.EventQueue; import java.awt.GridLayout; import java.awt.MouseInfo; import java.awt.Point; import java.awt.event.WindowAdapter; import java.awt.event.WindowEvent; import javax.swing.JFrame; import javax.swing.JLabel; import com.sun.jna.Native; import com.sun.jna.NativeLong; import com.sun.jna.Platform; import com.sun.jna.Structure; import com.sun.jna.platform.win32.BaseTSD.ULONG_PTR; import com.sun.jna.platform.win32.Kernel32; import com.sun.jna.platform.win32.User32; import com.sun.jna.platform.win32.WinDef.HWND; import com.sun.jna.platform.win32.WinDef.LRESULT; import com.sun.jna.platform.win32.WinDef.WPARAM; import com.sun.jna.platform.win32.WinUser.HHOOK; import com.sun.jna.platform.win32.WinUser.HOOKPROC; import com.sun.jna.platform.win32.WinUser.MSG; import com.sun.jna.platform.win32.WinUser.POINT; public class MouseExample { final JFrame jf; final JLabel jl1, jl2; final CWMouseHook mh; final Ticker jt; public class Ticker extends Thread { public boolean update = true; public void done() { update = false; } public void run() { try { Point p, l = MouseInfo.getPointerInfo().getLocation(); int i = 0; while (update == true) { try { p = MouseInfo.getPointerInfo().getLocation(); if (!p.equals(l)) { l = p; jl1.setText(new GlobalMouseClick(p.x, p.y) .toString()); } Thread.sleep(35); } catch (InterruptedException e) { e.printStackTrace(); return; } } } catch (Exception e) { update = false; } } } public MouseExample() throws AWTException, UnsupportedOperationException { this.jl1 = new JLabel("{}"); this.jl2 = new JLabel("{}"); this.jf = new JFrame(); this.jt = new Ticker(); this.jt.start(); this.mh = new CWMouseHook() { @Override public void globalClickEvent(GlobalMouseClick m) { jl2.setText(m.toString()); } }; mh.setMouseHook(); jf.setLayout(new GridLayout(2, 2)); jf.add(new JLabel("Position")); jf.add(jl1); jf.add(new JLabel("Last click")); jf.add(jl2); jf.addWindowListener(new WindowAdapter() { public void windowClosing(WindowEvent we) { mh.dispose(); jt.done(); jf.dispose(); } }); jf.setLocation(new Point(0, 0)); jf.setPreferredSize(new Dimension(200, 90)); jf.pack(); jf.setVisible(true); } public static class GlobalMouseClick { private char c; private int x, y; public GlobalMouseClick(char c, int x, int y) { super(); this.c = c; this.x = x; this.y = y; } public GlobalMouseClick(int x, int y) { super(); this.x = x; this.y = y; } public char getC() { return c; } public void setC(char c) { this.c = c; } public int getX() { return x; } public void setX(int x) { this.x = x; } public int getY() { return y; } public void setY(int y) { this.y = y; } @Override public String toString() { return (c != 0 ? c : "") + " [" + x + "," + y + "]"; } } public static class CWMouseHook { public User32 USER32INST; public CWMouseHook() throws UnsupportedOperationException { if (!Platform.isWindows()) { throw new UnsupportedOperationException( "Not supported on this platform."); } USER32INST = User32.INSTANCE; mouseHook = hookTheMouse(); Native.setProtected(true); } private static LowLevelMouseProc mouseHook; private HHOOK hhk; private boolean isHooked = false; public static final int WM_LBUTTONDOWN = 513; public static final int WM_LBUTTONUP = 514; public static final int WM_RBUTTONDOWN = 516; public static final int WM_RBUTTONUP = 517; public static final int WM_MBUTTONDOWN = 519; public static final int WM_MBUTTONUP = 520; public void dispose() { unsetMouseHook(); mousehook_thread = null; mouseHook = null; hhk = null; USER32INST = null; } public void unsetMouseHook() { isHooked = false; USER32INST.UnhookWindowsHookEx(hhk); System.out.println("Mouse hook is unset."); } public boolean isIsHooked() { return isHooked; } public void globalClickEvent(GlobalMouseClick m) { System.out.println(m); } private Thread mousehook_thread; public void setMouseHook() { mousehook_thread = new Thread(new Runnable() { @Override public void run() { try { if (!isHooked) { hhk = USER32INST.SetWindowsHookEx(14, mouseHook, Kernel32.INSTANCE.GetModuleHandle(null), 0); isHooked = true; System.out .println("Mouse hook is set.   • A linked list with multiple heads in Java

    - by Emile
    Hi, I have a list in which I'd like to keep several head pointers. I've tried to create multiple ListIterators on the same list but this forbid me to add new elements in my list... (see Concurrent Modification exception). I could create my own class but I'd rather use a built-in implementation ;) To be more specific, here is an inefficient implementation of two basic operations and the one wich doesn't work : class MyList <E { private int[] _heads; private List<E _l; public MyList ( int nbHeads ) { _heads = new int[nbHeads]; _l = new LinkedList<E(); } public void add ( E e ) { _l.add(e); } public E next ( int head ) { return _l.get(_heads[head++]); // ugly } } class MyList <E { private Vector<ListIterator<E _iters; private List<E _l; public MyList ( int nbHeads ) { _iters = new Vector<ListIterator<E(nbHeads); _l = new LinkedList<E(); for( ListIterator<E iter : _iters ) iter = _l.listIterator(); } public void add ( E e ) { _l.add(e); } public E next ( int head ) { // ConcurrentModificationException because of the add() return _iters.get(head).next(); } } Emile

  • what kind of relationship is there between a common wall and the rooms that located next to it?

    - by siamak
    I want to know whats the Relationship between a common wall (that are located In an adjoining room ) and the rooms. As i know the relationship between a room and its walls is Composition not Aggregation (am i right ?) And according to the definition of Composition the contained object can't be shared between two containers, whereas in aggregation it is possible. now i am confused that whats the best modeling approach to represent the relationship between a common wall and the rooms located next to it ? It would be highly Appreciated if you could provide your advices with some code. |--------|--------| Approch1: (wall class ---- room class) /Composition Approach2: wall class ----- room class /Aggregation Approch3: we have a wall class and a Common wall class , Common wall class inherits from wall class adjoining room class ---- (1) Common wall class /Aggregation adjoining room class ---- (6) wall class / composition Approach4: I am a developer not a designer :) so this is my idea : class Room { private wall _firstwall ; private wall _secondtwall; private wall _thirdwall ; private wall _commonwall ; public Room( CommonWall commonwall) { _firstwall=new Wall(); _secondtwall=new Wall(); _thirdwall=new Wall(); _commonwall=commonwall; } } Class CommonWall:Wall { //... } // in somewher : static void main() { Wall _commonWall=new Wall(); Room room1=new Room(_commonWall); Room room2=new Room(_commonWall); Room [] adjacentRoom =new Room[2]{room1,room2}; } Edit 1: I think this is a clear question but just for more clarification : The point of the question is to find out whats the best pattern or approach to model a relationship for an object that is a component of two other objects in the same time. and about my example : waht i mean by a "room" ?,surely i mean an enclosed square room with 4 walls and one door.but in this case one of these walls is a common wall and is shared between two adjacent rooms.

  • Howto ignore specific undefined variables in Pydev (eclipse)

    - by chris.nullptr
    I'm writing a crossplatform python script on windows using Eclipse with the Pydev plugin. The script makes use of the os.symlink() and os.readlink() methods if the current platform isn't NT. Since the os.symlink() and os.readlink() methods aren't available on the windows platform Pydev flags them as undefined variables--like so: Is there a way to explicitly ignore certain undefined variable name errors (e.g. os.symlink())?

  • self referencing object in JPA

    - by geoaxis
    Hello, I am trying to save a SystemUser entity in JPA. I also want to save certain things like who created the SystemUser and who last modified the system User as well. @ManyToOne(targetEntity = SystemUser.class) @JoinColumn private SystemUser userWhoCreated; @Temporal(TemporalType.TIMESTAMP) @DateTimeFormat(iso=ISO.DATE_TIME) private Date timeCreated; @ManyToOne(targetEntity = SystemUser.class) @JoinColumn private SystemUser userWhoLastModified; @Temporal(TemporalType.TIMESTAMP) @DateTimeFormat(iso=ISO.DATE_TIME) private Date timeLastModified; I also want to ensure that these values are not null when persisted. So If I use the NotNull JPA annotation, that is easily solved (along with reference to another entity) The problem description is simple, I cannot save rootuser without having rootuser in the system if I am to use a DataLoader class to persist JPA entity. Every other later user can be easily persisted with userWhoModified as the "systemuser" , but systemuser it's self cannot be added in this scheme. Is there a way so persist this first system user (I am thinking with SQL). This is a typical bootstrap (chicken or the egg) problem i suppose.

  • Interface in a dynamic language?

    - by Bryan
    Interface (or an abstract class with all the methods abstract) is a powerful weapon in a static language. It allows different derived types to be used in a uniformed way. However, in a dynamic language, all objects can be used in a uniformed way as long as they define certain methods. Does interface exist in dynamic languages? It seems unnecessary to me.

  • android:junit running Parameterized testcases.

    - by puneetinderkaur
    Hi, i wan to run a single testcase with different parameters. in java it possible through junit4 and code is like this package com.android.test; import static org.junit.Assert.assertEquals; import java.util.Arrays; import java.util.Collection; import org.junit.Test; import org.junit.runner.RunWith; import org.junit.runners.Parameterized; import org.junit.runners.Parameterized.Parameters; @RunWith(Parameterized.class) public class ParameterizedTestExample { private int number; private int number2; private int result; private functioncall coun; //constructor takes parameters from array public ParameterizedTestExample(int number, int number2, int result1) { this.number = number; this.number2 = number2; this.result = result1; coun = new functioncall(); } //array with parameters @Parameters public static Collection<Object[]> data() { Object[][] data = new Object[][] { { 1, 4, 5 }, { 2, 7, 9 }, { 3, 7, 10 }, { 4, 9, 13 } }; return Arrays.asList(data); } //running our test @Test public void testCounter() { assertEquals("Result add x y", result, coun.calculateSum(this.number, this.number2), 0); } } Now my question is can we Run the same with android testcases where we have deal with context. when i try to run the code using android junit. it gives me error NoClassDefinationFound.

  • Comparison of algorithmic approaches to the N queens problem

    - by iceman
    I wanted to evaluate performance comparisons for various approaches to solving the N queens problem. Mainly AI metaheuristics based algorithms like simulated annealing, tabu search and genetic algorithm etc compared to exact methods(like backtracking). Is there any code available for study? A lot of real-world optimization problems like it consider cooperative schemes between exact methods and metaheuristics.

  • [Symfony 1.2: ckWebServicePlugin 3.0.0] Module name in SOAP requests, how to get rid of them?

    - by Henri
    When I generate a WSDL file with ./symfony webservice:generate-wsdl (where is 'frontend', is 'soap' and is 'http://localhost ') I get a nice soap.wsdl file which works like it should. Except, the methods are not named 'justAMethod' but 'soapService_justAMethod' (where soapService is the module which holds the SOAP methods). How do I omit the module name in the SOAP method names? I know this is possible since the previous release of the software had no module name in the SOAP method names.

  • property names are different from original Object in the silverlight

    - by kwon
    Following is part of service layer which is provided by WCF service : [Serializable] public class WaitInfo { private string roomName; private string pName; private string tagNo; public string RoomName { get { return roomName; } set { this.roomName = value; } } public string PName { get { return pName; } set { this.pName = value; } } public string TagNo { get { return tagNo; } set { this.tagNo = value; } } } public class Service1 : IService1 { public List<WaitInfo> GetWaitingList() { MyDBDataContext db = new MyDBDataContext(); var query = from w in db.WAIT_INFOs select new WaitInfo { TagNo = w.PATIENT_INFO.TAG_NO, RoomName= w.ROOM_INFO.ROOM_NAME, PName= w.PATIENT_INFO.P_NAME }; List<WaitInfo> result = query.ToList(); return result; } And following is codebehind part of UI layer which is provided by Silverlight public MainPage() { InitializeComponent(); Service1Client s = new Service1Client(); s.GetWaitingListCompleted += new EventHandler<GetWaitingListByCompletedEventArgs>( s_GetWaitingListCompleted); s.GetWaitingListAsync(); } void s_GetWaitingListCompleted(object sender, RadControlsSilverlightApplication1.ServiceReference2.GetWaitingListByCompletedEventArgs e) { GridDataGrid.ItemsSource = e.Result; } And following is xaml code in Silverlight page <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot"> <data:DataGrid x:Name="GridDataGrid"></data:DataGrid> </Grid> Is is very simple code, however what I am thinking weird is property name of object at "e.Result" in the code behind page. In the service layer, although properties' names are surely "RoomName, PName, TagNo", in the silverlight properties' names are "roomName, pName, tagNo" which are private variable name of the WaitingList Object. Did I something wrong? Thanks in advance.

  • non-copyable objects and value initialization: g++ vs msvc

    - by R Samuel Klatchko
    I'm seeing some different behavior between g++ and msvc around value initializing non-copyable objects. Consider a class that is non-copyable: class noncopyable_base { public: noncopyable_base() {} private: noncopyable_base(const noncopyable_base &); noncopyable_base &operator=(const noncopyable_base &); }; class noncopyable : private noncopyable_base { public: noncopyable() : x_(0) {} noncopyable(int x) : x_(x) {} private: int x_; }; and a template that uses value initialization so that the value will get a known value even when the type is POD: template <class T> void doit() { T t = T(); ... } and trying to use those together: doit<noncopyable>(); This works fine on msvc as of VC++ 9.0 but fails on every version of g++ I tested this with (including version 4.5.0) because the copy constructor is private. Two questions: Which behavior is standards compliant? Any suggestion of how to work around this in gcc (and to be clear, changing that to T t; is not an acceptable solution as this breaks POD types). P.S. I see the same problem with boost::noncopyable.

  • How do I use the information about exceptions a method throws in .NET in my code?

    - by dotnetdev
    For many methods in .NET, the exceptions they can potentially throw can be as many as 7-8 (one or two methods in XmlDocument, Load() being one I think, can throw this many exceptions). Does this mean I have to write 8 catch blocks to catch all of these exceptions (it is best practise to catch an exception with a specific exception block and not just a general catch block of type Exception). How do I use this information? Thanks

  • Using java.util.regex in Android apps - are there issues with this?

    - by johnrock
    In an Android app I have a utility class that I use to parse strings for 2 regEx's. I compile the 2 patterns in a static initializer so they only get compiled once, then activities can use the parsing methods statically. This works fine except that the first time the class is accessed and loaded, and the static initializer compiles the pattern, the UI hangs for close to a MINUTE while it compiles the pattern! After the first time, it flies on all subsequent calls to parseString(). My regEx that I am using is rather large - 847 characters, but in a normal java webapp this is lightning fast. I am testing this so far only in the emulator with a 1.5 AVD. Could this just be an emulator issue or is there some other reason that this pattern is taking so long to compile? private static final String exp1 = "(insertratherlong---847character--regexhere)"; private static Pattern regex1 = null; private static final String newLineAndTagsExp = "[<>\\s]"; private static Pattern regexNewLineAndTags = null; static { regex1 = Pattern.compile(exp1, Pattern.CASE_INSENSITIVE); regexNewLineAndTags = Pattern.compile(newLineAndTagsExp); } public static String parseString(CharSequence inputStr) { String replacementStr = "replaceMentText"; String resultString = "none"; try { Matcher regexMatcher = regex1.matcher(inputStr); try { resultString = regexMatcher.replaceAll(replacementStr); } catch (IllegalArgumentException ex) { } catch (IndexOutOfBoundsException ex) { } } catch (PatternSyntaxException ex) { } return resultString; }

  • Dataflow Pipeline holding on to memory

    - by Jesse Carter
    I've created a Dataflow pipeline consisting of 4 blocks (which includes one optional block) which is responsible for receiving a query object from my application across HTTP and retrieving information from a database, doing an optional transform on that data, and then writing the information back in the HTTP response. In some testing I've done I've been pulling down a significant amount of data from the database (570 thousand rows) which are stored in a List object and passed between the different blocks and it seems like even after the final block has been completed the memory isn't being released. Ram usage in Task Manager will spike up to over 2 GB and I can observe several large spikes as the List hits each block. The signatures for my blocks look like this: private TransformBlock<HttpListenerContext, Tuple<HttpListenerContext, QueryObject>> m_ParseHttpRequest; private TransformBlock<Tuple<HttpListenerContext, QueryObject>, Tuple<HttpListenerContext, QueryObject, List<string>>> m_RetrieveDatabaseResults; private TransformBlock<Tuple<HttpListenerContext, QueryObject, List<string>>, Tuple<HttpListenerContext, QueryObject, List<string>>> m_ConvertResults; private ActionBlock<Tuple<HttpListenerContext, QueryObject, List<string>>> m_ReturnHttpResponse; They are linked as follows: m_ParseHttpRequest.LinkTo(m_RetrieveDatabaseResults); m_RetrieveDatabaseResults.LinkTo(m_ConvertResults, tuple => tuple.Item2 is QueryObjectA); m_RetrieveDatabaseResults.LinkTo(m_ReturnHttpResponse, tuple => tuple.Item2 is QueryObjectB); m_ConvertResults.LinkTo(m_ReturnHttpResponse); Is it possible that I can set up the pipeline such that once each block is done with the list they no longer need to hold on to it as well as once the entire pipeline is completed that the memory is released?

  • Avoiding secondary selects or joins with Hibernate Criteria or HQL query

    - by Ben Benson
    I am having trouble optimizing Hibernate queries to avoid performing joins or secondary selects. When a Hibernate query is performed (criteria or hql), such as the following: return getSession().createQuery(("from GiftCard as card where card.recipientNotificationRequested=1").list(); ... and the where clause examines properties that do not require any joins with other tables... but Hibernate still performs a full join with other tables (or secondary selects depending on how I set the fetchMode). The object in question (GiftCard) has a couple ManyToOne associations that I would prefer to be lazily loaded in this case (but not necessarily all cases). I want a solution that I can control what is lazily loaded when I perform the query. Here's what the GiftCard Entity looks like: @Entity @Table(name = "giftCards") public class GiftCard implements Serializable { private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L; private String id_; private User buyer_; private boolean isRecipientNotificationRequested_; @Id public String getId() { return this.id_; } public void setId(String id) { this.id_ = id; } @ManyToOne @JoinColumn(name = "buyerUserId") @NotFound(action = NotFoundAction.IGNORE) public User getBuyer() { return this.buyer_; } public void setBuyer(User buyer) { this.buyer_ = buyer; } @Column(name="isRecipientNotificationRequested", nullable=false, columnDefinition="tinyint") public boolean isRecipientNotificationRequested() { return this.isRecipientNotificationRequested_; } public void setRecipientNotificationRequested(boolean isRecipientNotificationRequested) { this.isRecipientNotificationRequested_ = isRecipientNotificationRequested; } }

  • When using delegates, need better way to do sequential processing

    - by Padawan
    I have a class WebServiceCaller that uses NSURLConnection to make asynchronous calls to a web service. The class provides a delegate property and when the web service call is done, it calls a method webServiceDoneWithXXX on the delegate. There are several web service methods that can be called, two of which are say GetSummary and GetList. The classes that use WebServiceCaller initially need both the summary and list so they are written like this: -(void)getAllData { [webServiceCaller getSummary]; } -(void)webServiceDoneWithGetSummary { [webServiceCaller getList]; } -(void)webServiceDoneWithGetList { ... } This works but there are at least two problems: The calls are split across delegate methods so it's hard to see the sequence at a glance but more important it's hard to control or modify the sequence. Sometimes I want to call just GetSummary and not also GetList so I would then have to use an ugly class-level state variable that tells webServiceDoneWithGetSummary whether to call GetList or not. Assume that GetList cannot be done until GetSummary completes and returns some data which is used as input to GetList. Is there a better way to handle this and still get asynchronous calls? Update based on Matt Long's answer: Using notifications instead of a delegate, it looks like I can solve problem #2 by setting a different selector depending on whether I want the full sequence (GetSummary+GetList) or just GetSummary. Both observers would still use the same notification name when calling GetSummary. I would have to write two separate methods to handle GetSummaryDone instead of using a single delegate method (where I would have needed some class-level variable to tell whether to then call GetList). -(void)getAllData { [[NSNotificationCenter defaultCenter] addObserver:self              selector:@selector(getSummaryDoneAndCallGetList:)                  name:kGetSummaryDidFinish object:nil];     [webServiceCaller getSummary]; } -(void)getSummaryDoneAndCallGetList { [NSNotificationCenter removeObserver] //process summary data [[NSNotificationCenter defaultCenter] addObserver:self              selector:@selector(getListDone:)                  name:kGetListDidFinish object:nil];     [webServiceCaller getList]; } -(void)getListDone { [NSNotificationCenter removeObserver] //process list data } -(void)getJustSummaryData { [[NSNotificationCenter defaultCenter] addObserver:self              selector:@selector(getJustSummaryDone:) //different selector but                  name:kGetSummaryDidFinish object:nil]; //same notification name     [webServiceCaller getSummary]; } -(void)getJustSummaryDone { [NSNotificationCenter removeObserver] //process summary data } I haven't actually tried this yet. It seems better than having state variables and if-then statements but you have to write more methods. I still don't see a solution for problem 1.

  • Timer Service in ejb 3.1 - schedule calling timeout problem

    - by Greg
    Hi Guys, I have created simple example with @Singleton, @Schedule and @Timeout annotations to try if they would solve my problem. The scenario is this: EJB calls 'check' function every 5 secconds, and if certain conditions are met it will create single action timer that would invoke some long running process in asynchronous fashion. (it's sort of queue implementation type of thing). It then continues to check, but as long as long running process is there it won't start another one. Below is the code I came up with, but this solution does not work, because it looks like asynchronous call I'm making is in fact blocking my @Schedule method. @Singleton @Startup public class GenerationQueue { private Logger logger = Logger.getLogger(GenerationQueue.class.getName()); private List<String> queue = new ArrayList<String>(); private boolean available = true; @Resource TimerService timerService; @Schedule(persistent=true, minute="*", second="*/5", hour="*") public void checkQueueState() { logger.log(Level.INFO,"Queue state check: "+available+" size: "+queue.size()+", "+new Date()); if (available) { timerService.createSingleActionTimer(new Date(), new TimerConfig(null, false)); } } @Timeout private void generateReport(Timer timer) { logger.info("!!--timeout invoked here "+new Date()); available = false; try { Thread.sleep(1000*60*2); // something that lasts for a bit } catch (Exception e) {} available = true; logger.info("New report generation complete"); } What am I missing here or should I try different aproach? Any ideas most welcome :) Testing with Glassfish 3.0.1 latest build - forgot to mention

  • How do JVM's implicit memory barriers behave when chaining constructors

    - by Joonas Pulakka
    Referring to my earlier question on incompletely constructed objects, I have a second question. As Jon Skeet pointed out, there's an implicit memory barrier in the end of a constructor that makes sure that final fields are visible to all threads. But what if a constructor calls another constructor; is there such a memory barrier in the end of each of them, or only in one being called from outside? That is, when the "wrong" solution is: public class ThisEscape { public ThisEscape(EventSource source) { source.registerListener( new EventListener() { public void onEvent(Event e) { doSomething(e); } }); } } And the correct one would be a factory method version: public class SafeListener { private final EventListener listener; private SafeListener() { listener = new EventListener() { public void onEvent(Event e) { doSomething(e); } } } public static SafeListener newInstance(EventSource source) { SafeListener safe = new SafeListener(); source.registerListener(safe.listener); return safe; } } Would the following work too, or not? public class MyListener { private final EventListener Listener; private MyListener() { listener = new EventListener() { public void onEvent(Event e) { doSomething(e); } } } public MyListener(EventSource source) { this(); source.register(listener); } }

  • NetBeans shortcut key for collapsing/expanding a method

    - by Stefanos Kargas
    JAVA - NETBEANS This is an IDE question I am always working with collapsed methods, because I want to be able to see my methods all together. This is a little time consuming because I have to use the mouse to scroll up to the declaration of the method and click on the - (minus) icon. And then respectively go to the method I want to work on and click on the + (plus) icon. Is there a way through a keyboard shortcut to do the collapse (and respectively the expand)?

  • JDO, GAE: Load object group by child's key

    - by tiex
    I have owned one-to-many relationship between two objects: @PersistenceCapable(identityType = IdentityType.APPLICATION) public class AccessInfo { @PrimaryKey @Persistent(valueStrategy = IdGeneratorStrategy.IDENTITY) private com.google.appengine.api.datastore.Key keyInternal; ... @Persistent private PollInfo currentState; public AccessInfo(){} public AccessInfo(String key, String voter, PollInfo currentState) { this.voter = voter; this.currentState = currentState; setKey(key); // this key is unique in whole systme } public void setKey(String key) { this.keyInternal = KeyFactory.createKey( AccessInfo.class.getSimpleName(), key); } public String getKey() { return this.keyInternal.getName(); } and @PersistenceCapable(identityType = IdentityType.APPLICATION) public class PollInfo { @PrimaryKey @Persistent(valueStrategy = IdGeneratorStrategy.IDENTITY) private Key key; @Persistent(mappedBy = "currentState") private List<AccessInfo> accesses; ... I created an instance of class PollInfo and make it persistence. It is ok. But then I want to load this group by AccessInfo key, and I am getting exception NucleusObjectNotFoundException. Is it possible to load a group by child's key?
