I know it's super easy in jquery with $(document).width and $document.height, but I don't want to add the size of the jquery lib to the project, so I'd rather just use built in javascript. What would be the short and efficient way to do the same thing with javascript?

I know setGeometry(QRect& rect) function to do that, but in that case I should use geometry() function to get former parameters of my QWidget, then I should increment the width and use setGeometry(..).   • 2 column div layout: right column fixed width, left fluid, height relative to eachother

    I want a layout with two columns, two divs, where the left one has fluid width and the right one has fixed width. So far so good - see jsfiddle below - however, the height of the right column must be in relation to the height of the left column. So that if I have some content in the fluid column and would resize the browser window, thereby increasing or decreasing the height of the left column, the right one should follow and getting the same height.     I'm working with a large set of json and really just need the NSString representation of what's inside the NSArray -including all the { } My question is this - is their a better way than simply looping through each NSArray inside the main NSArray and outputting the description one by one? ie- the below is a start to this process but it's very brittle meaning I need to know each item inside the hat {} and this isn't something I actually care about. I just need the json string to move forward. The working code is below (thank you in advance!)     I am having a hard time understanding how to change the width of columns when creating a table view. I know you can set the width in pixels of a column but that is not what I want to do. Say, for instance, I have 2 columns and want each column to take up half the screen. How do I do this without explicitly setting the pixels, so that my code can work on multiple screen sizes?

    Hi, in a Model I have a CharField with choices: class MyModel(models.Model): THE_CHOICES=( ('val',_(u'Value Description')), ) ... myfield=models.CharField(max_length=3,choices=THE_CHOICES Now in the template I access an instance of MyModel: {{ my_instance.myfield }} Of course the gives me val instead of Value Description.   • Changing multiple objects with a new class name using Jquery

    I'd like to click on a trigger and show a specific image. There are multiple triggers which would show a specific image related to it within a set. There are 4 sets The challenge for me is toggling the other images to hide only in this 'set' when one of these triggers are clicked, as there can only be one image showing at a time in each set.   • Convert UTC date to actual date and time

    I have a chart of bitcoin prices. I have the correct prices on the Y-axis, but I cannot get the correct time on the X-axis. The time shows up in a UTC format in my console. I am adding price and date to the series each iteration. I need to get the date of that particular result and find the YEAR, MONTH and DAY of that so I can put it in the right format.   • How to get the real, actual duration of an MP3 file (VBR or CBR) server-side

    I used to calculate the duration of MP3 files server-side using ffmpeg - which seemed to work fine. Today i discovered that some of the calculations were wrong. Somehow, for some reason, ffmpeg will miscalculate the duration and it seems to happen with variable bit rate mp3 files only. When testing this locally, i noticed that ffmpeg printed two extra lines in green. Command used: ffmpeg -i song_9747c077aef8.mp3 ffmpeg says: [mp3 @ 0x102052600] max_analyze_duration 5000000 reached at 5015510 [mp3 @ 0x102052600] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate After a nice, warm google session, i found some posts on this, but no solution was found. I then tried to increase the maximum duration: ffmpeg -analyzeduration 999999999 -i song_9747c077aef8.mp3 After this, ffmpeg returned only the second line: [mp3 @ 0x102052600] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate But in either case, the calculated duration was just plain wrong. Comparing it to VLC i noticed that here the duration is correct. After more research i stumbled over mp3info - which i installed and used. mp3info -p "%S" song_9747c077aef8.mp3 mp3info then returned the CORRECT duration, but only as an integer, which i cannot use as i need a more accurate number here. The reason for this was explained in a comment below, by user blahdiblah - mp3info is simply pulling ID3 info from the file and not actually performing any calculations. I also tried using mplayer to retrieve the duration, but just as ffmpeg, mplayer is returning the wrong value. Now i ran out of options. If somebody knows how to get around this, any hints, tips, guides or corrections are welcome! Thank You!

  • Autocad 2014 - Positioning electrical objects for plans (icons and symbols, not actual objects)

    I am using Autocad to design my home. I am at a phase where I want to set the location for the switches, lighting fixtures, power sockets, communication sockets etc. I am thinking of something like this http://www.the-house-plans-guide.com/electrical-blueprint-symbols.html. I am not interested in placing specific lighting fixtures or rendering them, just putting the symbol and distances for the symbol. I can use Autocad Electrical, but that's a GIANT overshoot.   • (android) rows of buttons that take up the entire width of the screen

    I am trying to make 3 rows of 4 buttons each that will take up the entire width of the screen. I have tried Linear Layout but have trouble adding a second row and from what I have read nesting Linear Layouts is bad practice. I tried to use relative layout several times but I cannot manage to get the buttons to fill the width of the screen because it ignores layout_weight, I then tried nesting linear layout in relative layout but layout_weight is still ignored. What is the best way to accomplish this?
