    I know that normally you can login to sites that require HTTP basic authentication with Selenium by passing the username and password in the URL, e.g.: selenium.open("http://myusername:[email protected]/mypath"); I've been running a Selenium test with Firefox 2 and there I still get the "Authentication Required" dialog window?     Hello everybody! I have just started exploring TWILL. Twill is an amazing scripting language for Web browsing and it does all I want!!! So far I've been using twill from a Python shell (IDLE (Python GUI) to be precise) and I do things in the way of executing commands one by one (I mean, I type one command, run it, then type the next command): But I don't know how to put all these commands together in one .py file, so that they would all be executed one by one automatically. It seems that there is such possibility in twill. This example from the twill documentation page (you can see it HERE) shows us one piece of code consisting of several commands: So, my question is: How can I put all commands together in twill?

    I'm using 2005 and the Native XML WebServices. The integrated authentication via HTTP:80 works fine. But i need the basic authentication which requires SSL. So if i change the web service to ssl i always get a connection reset (101). I tried several ports 80,443,9999 with the same outcome. What is the error?

So i'm planning for generation of AST (abstract syntax tree). Will it be possible to generate for both language together.     Was asked by a new Ubuntu user - who also wants to learn about programming - what he could use to run BASIC code. He was working through a BASIC book before trying out Ubuntu, and he'd like to continue without having to switch back to Windows. It looks like there are a few BASIC packages in the standard repositories, as well as projects like Mono which may include some kind of BASIC support. What would be a good recommendation from the standard repositories - or from a deb package - for someone learning the basics of BASIC and new to Ubuntu?

    I'm building a GUI and a database which is using SQL as a server (internal database not a web application). Which language is more of a "right tool" when it comes to building a not very structurally complicated database? What are the advantages and disadvantages of Visual C# / VB.net? I've been reading a lot of stuff online and they said that VB.net is not as capable and it doesn't have as much support as Visual C#, and it seems that VB.net is on a decline in terms of popularity.

I am developing commands for getting data from database. e.g. i have one gib table so command for that is getgib name alias limit fields if user pass the name e.g. getgib rahul than it will return all the gib data whose name is like rahul. if alias is given than it will return the all the gib owned by the user whose alias(userid) given . So i want to design the commands. limit : is to limit the record in query, fields : is the extra fields i want to add in the select query . so as now commands are set but now Question 1 : i want the gibs by the gibid , so how to make this or any suggestion to improve my command is welcome. Question 2 : if user don't want to specify the name , and he want only the gibs by providing alias then at this what separator at the place of name i should used.

    I have a USB 3G data card and modem. According to the supplier, to check the data balance on the account, I must dial a number like *89# (or whatever) from the handset. The device appears as a ppp0 interface in my network devices. How does one go about issuing commands to the modem to send the commands and receive back the information? UPDATE: OK, I found some help here: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-hardware-18/sending-at-commands-to-a-sms-modem-372445/, but firstly, there are 3 ttyUSB devices on my system, and I assume that one of them is the 3G modem, but how can I tell? Secondly, trying to echo something to two of them says that the device is busy, which stands to reason, because I am using it to connect to the internet. Some help, please?

  • Logoff button IIS6 ASP.NET Basic Authentication

    I have a requirement for an explicit logout button for users in a ASP.NET web app. I am using IIS6 with Basic Authentication (SSL). I can redirect to another web page but the browser keeps the session alive. I have googled around and found a way to do it by enabling an active x control to communicate with IIS and kill the session. I am in a restricted environment that does not allow forms authentication and active x controls are not forbidden as well. Has anyone else had this requirement and how have you handled it? Okay that is what I was afraid of. I have seen similar answers on the net and I was hoping someone would have a way of doing it. Thanks for your time though. I guess I can use javascript to prevent the back button like the history.back()
