  • Awesome WordPress modular theme builder?

    - by Matt M.
I came across a really neat modular theme for WordPress a while ago, but I can't remember the name so I'm wondering if somebody can help out. It was a paid theme with a dedicated company behind it if I'm not mistaken. The theme allowed you to change the colors of all the content areas, define widgets, and resize content areas. I'm really interested in being able to resize columns and such at the touch of a button, getting too old for the usual CSS micromanagement that goes on with brittle themes.

  • What should someone learn to become a great web-app builder by 2015

    - by rickdronkers
My brother just started learning some html/css at school and he loves it. He asked me to give my advice on what languages to learn in order to build great web-apps by the time he leaves school. (2015 or something like that.) I did some research, and right now I want to tell him (in this particular order): HTML - HTML5 CSS - CSS3 Javascript - jQuery - AJAX PHP - Zend Framework MySQL Ruby - RoR I would like to know if this is correct before I waste his time. Stackoverflow seems like a place where people know the answer to these kind of questions ;). Thanks!

  • Creating a Predicate Builder extension method

    - by Rippo
    I have a Kendo UI Grid that I am currently allowing filtering on multiple columns. I am wondering if there is a an alternative approach removing the outer switch statement? Basically I want to able to create an extension method so I can filter on a IQueryable<T> and I want to drop the outer case statement so I don't have to switch column names. private static IQueryable<Contact> FilterContactList(FilterDescriptor filter, IQueryable<Contact> contactList) { switch (filter.Member) { case "Name": switch (filter.Operator) { case FilterOperator.StartsWith: contactList = contactList.Where(w => w.Firstname.StartsWith(filter.Value.ToString()) || w.Lastname.StartsWith(filter.Value.ToString()) || (w.Firstname + " " + w.Lastname).StartsWith(filter.Value.ToString())); break; case FilterOperator.Contains: contactList = contactList.Where(w => w.Firstname.Contains(filter.Value.ToString()) || w.Lastname.Contains(filter.Value.ToString()) || (w.Firstname + " " + w.Lastname).Contains( filter.Value.ToString())); break; case FilterOperator.IsEqualTo: contactList = contactList.Where(w => w.Firstname == filter.Value.ToString() || w.Lastname == filter.Value.ToString() || (w.Firstname + " " + w.Lastname) == filter.Value.ToString()); break; } break; case "Company": switch (filter.Operator) { case FilterOperator.StartsWith: contactList = contactList.Where(w => w.Company.StartsWith(filter.Value.ToString())); break; case FilterOperator.Contains: contactList = contactList.Where(w => w.Company.Contains(filter.Value.ToString())); break; case FilterOperator.IsEqualTo: contactList = contactList.Where(w => w.Company == filter.Value.ToString()); break; } break; } return contactList; } Some additional information, I am using NHibernate Linq. Also another problem is that the "Name" column on my grid is actually "Firstname" + " " + "LastName" on my contact entity. We can also assume that all filterable columns will be strings.

  • How to select a MAX value from column in Query Builder in Kohana framework?

    - by Victor Czechov
    I need to INSERT a data to table, but before a query I must to know the MAX value from column position, than to INSERT a data WHERE my SELECTED before position+1. Is it possible with query builder? following my first comment I did query: $p = DB::select(array(DB::expr('MAX(`position`)', 'p')))->from('supercategories')->execute(); echo $p; the error: ErrorException [ Notice ]: Undefined offset: 1 MODPATH\database\classes\kohana\database.php [ 505 ] 500 */ 501 public function quote_column($column) 502 { 503 if (is_array($column)) 504 { 505 list($column, $alias) = $column; 506 } 507 508 if ($column instanceof Database_Query) 509 { 510 // Create a sub-query

  • Windows CE 5.0 image building: Possible without Platform Builder?

    - by developer
Is it possible to create Windows CE 5.0 images (ie: nk.bin) from VS2005/VS2008 without using Platform Builder? If so, how? Can a vendor BSP for WinCE 5 be loaded into VS2005/2008? Are there the parts to do this available for download from Microsoft (ie: the SDK), or must you buy the special bits (a la PB) from a "special distributor"? I know it is possible to build binaries (.dll, .exe) for WinCE 5.0 using VS, my question is about creating entire bootable CE 5.0 images for embedded platforms.

  • How to reduce simple cpp application size? (compiled with RAD Studio 2010 cpp builder)

    - by peterg
I am using rad studio 2010 cpp builder. I've created a new SDI application, added a TCppWebBrowser control and a simple button that onclick trigger the .navigate for the TCppWebBrowser, I compiled it and I got a 1.20mb file, I was expecting less than 700kb at least. How can I reduce the size of the compiled exe? I don't want to use "build with runtime packages", I know that will make it very small but I want to get all the necessary packages and dependencies inside the exe but maybe I am getting more than I use, I tried unchecking/removing a lot of design packages (in project/options/packages) I don't use but the file size didn't decreased. Also I was thinking maybe the TForm component that comes with RAD Studio is giving me more stuff than I need and that could make the file bigger, I mean I only need to drop a webbrowser control and a few buttons in the form, maybe there's a minimal form component I could use to replace TForm. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

  • Interface Builder error: IBXMLDecoder: The value for key is too large to fit into a 32 bit integer

    - by stdout
I'm working with Robert Payne's fork of PSMTabBarControl that works with IB 3.2 (thanks BTW Robert!): http://codaset.com/robertjpayne/psmtabbarcontrol/. The demo application works fine on 64-bit systems, but when I try to open the XIB file in Interface Builder on a 32-bit system I get: IBXMLDecoder: The value (4654500848) for key (myTrackingRectTag) is too large to fit into a 32 bit integer Building the app as 32 bit works, but then running it gives: PSMTabBarControlDemo[9073:80f] * -[NSKeyedUnarchiver decodeInt32ForKey:]: value (4654500848) for key (myTrackingRectTag) too large to fit in 32-bit integer Not sure if this is a generic IB issue that can occur when moving between 64 and 32 bit systems, or if this is a more specific issue with this code. Has anyone else run into this?

  • How do I edit an interface builder object programmatically?

    - by Evelyn
I created a label using Interface Builder, and now I want to set the background color of the label using code instead of IB's color picker. (I want to do this so that I can define the color using RGB and eventually change the colorspace for the label.) I'm in cocoa. How do I edit the attributes of an IB object using code? My code looks like this: //.h file #import <UIKit/UIKit.h> @interface IBAppDelegate : NSObject { UILabel *label; } @property (nonatomic, retain) IBOutlet UILabel *label; @end //.m file #import "IBAppDelegate.h" @implementation IBAppDelegate @synthesize label; (memory stuff...) @end

  • How do I layout an image that will be dynamically sized in interface builder?

    - by Tony
I am having trouble laying out scrollable view in interface builder. A screen shot of my layout is here. As you can see the layout is pretty simple. The UIImageView above the text will not have a specific height. It may be 100px high or 300px high. This is why the view is scrollable. I am experiencing two problems with this layout: 1) For some reason the image will sit behind the text instead of pushing it down. Take a look here. 2) The obvious other problem is that the upper most UIImage and UILabel are getting pushed up off of the screen. I am thinking this has to do with the UIScrollView but I haven't been able to figure out why. Thanks!

  • How to add a slot to my main window in Qt builder?

    - by George Edison
I am using Qt Builder to create a simple window. I used the menu editor to add a menu. Now, I figured out how to connect one of the menu items to the close() method of the main window. My problem is how to add a slot to the main window. Here is what I have: private slots: void OnAbout(); However, I can't get this method to show up in the 'Signals and Slots Editor'. How can I get it to show up?

  • Alternate to control+drag to connect view element with file owner in xCode interface builder?

    - by yldave
Working on an iPhone application through a TightVNC connection into a Mac Mini; the control+drag operation in Interface Builder to connect a view element to file owner doesn't work - I don't see the connecting line. It does work when I connect keyboard, mouse and monitor to the Mini and work on it directly, however it is a lot more convenient for me to run it through a VNC connection. Must be some quirk of the TightVNC connection that is preventing this. I tried different TightVNC settings for the cursor (let server handle it and so on) but no luck. Is there an alternative to control+drag to hook up outlets?

  • CF9: what is jrun_iis6_wildcard.dll intended for?

    - by Stefano
Hi I just finished installing an application on a server running ColdFusion 9 (2008 R2 64bit) The application I installed does not use CF, but an isapi dll. To run my application, I need to delete an handler using jrun_iis6_wildcard.dll that seems to process and block requests that should be processed by my isapi dll. I do not known Cold Fusion, but I'm curious: what is jrun_iis6_wildcard.dll intended for? thank you in advance stefano

  • Should I install software on a "SAN"

    - by am2605
Hi, I need to set up ColdFusion 9 on a ubuntu server that has a SAN disk mounted. Is it appropriate to install the CF server software on this disk? I don't really understand the ins and outs of what a SAN is, so I am not sure if the intention is for me to solely install web content on it or whether the server software itself should go here too. Any advice would be extremeness welcome. Many thanks, Andrew.

  • Piloting Microsoft Word With Ole in C++ Builder : how to put Word in the foreground.

    - by Getz
Hi! I've got a code (which works fine) for piloting word with C++ Builder. It's useful for reaching different bookmarks in the document. Variant vNom, vWDocuments, vWDocument, vMSWord, vSignets, vSignet; vNom = WideString("blabla.doc"); try { vMSWord = Variant::GetActiveObject("Word.Application"); } catch(...) { vMSWord = Variant::CreateObject("Word.Application"); } vMSWord.OlePropertySet("Visible", true); vWDocuments = vMSWord.OlePropertyGet("Documents"); vWDocument = vWDocuments.OleFunction("Open", vNom); vSignets = vWDocument.OlePropertyGet("BookMarks"); if (vSignets.OleFunction("Exists", signet)) { vSignet = vSignets.OleFunction("Item", signet); vSignet.OleFunction("Select"); } But once the document is opened, the user can no longer see when an other bookmark has been reached, since the application stays in background. Does anyone know how i can do to make Word displayed in the foreground, or to light-up the document in the taskbar? Thanks!

  • Why the compiler is not compiling a line in C++ Builder?

    - by MLB
Hi boys: I was programming an application in C++ Builder 6, and I had encountered this rare problem: void RotateDice() { Graphics::TBitmap *MYbitmap = new Graphics::TBitmap(); Randomize(); int rn = random(6) + 1; switch (rn) { case 1: { //... break; } //... Some cases... } ShowDice(); //it's a function to show the dice delete MYbitmap; //the compiler don't get it!!!! } In the line "ShowDice()", the compiler jumps to the final of the RotateDice() method, it doesn't "see" the line "delete MYbitmap". When I compile the program, every compiled line shows a little blue point in its left side, but that line don't show the blue point... it's like the compiler don't "see" the line of code. What's happening with that???? Note: Some days ago, I was writing a program in Delphi and I was advice of that problematic issue. Some like that happened to me in Delphi 7... So, waht the problem with that? I am so sorry about my English. I am from Cuba.
