    Hi I have a really complicated dynamic query that i want to use to retrieve data from the database I am working in .net 3.5 sql server 2008 i created a stored procedure that accepts a varchar(max) as input parameter and does execute (@SqlQuery) it executes but does not return anything I really would like to use LINQ as all my project is implemented using linq Any Idea how to do it what is the problem?

  • How do I pass a variable number of parameters along with a callback function?

    I'm using a function to lazy-load the Sizzle selector engine (used by jQuery): var sizzle_loaded; // load the Sizzle script function load_sizzle(module_name) { var script; // load Sizzle script and set up 'onload' and 'onreadystatechange' event // handlers to ensure that external script is loaded before dependent // code is executed script = document.createElement('script'); script.src = 'sizzle.min.js'; script.onload = function() { sizzle_loaded = true; gather_content(module_name); }; script.onreadystatechange = function() { if ((script.readyState === 'loaded' || script.readyState === 'complete') && !sizzle_loaded) { sizzle_loaded = true; gather_content(module_name); } }; // append script to the document document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(script); } I set the onload and onreadystatechange event handlers, as well as the sizzle_loaded flag to call another function (gather_content()) as soon as Sizzle has loaded. All of this is needed to do this in a cross-browser way. Until now, my project only had to lazy-load Sizzle at one point in the script, so I was able to just hard-code the gather_content() function call into the load_sizzle() function. However, I now need to lazy-load Sizzle at two different points in the script, and call a different function either time once it's loaded. How can I modify my function so that I can specify a variable number of parameters, to be passed with the callback function? Or, am I going about this the wrong way? Ultimately, I just want to load Sizzle, then call any function that I need to (with any arguments that it needs) once it's done loading. Thanks for any help!

    I am currently studying the implementation of programming languages and became interested in using Continuation-Passing Style as the intermediate language of the compiler. I also want to implement limited dynamic scope (for exception-handling or Scheme parameter objects) but I cannot find the relevant literature. I think it can be done with a separate environment passed as a variable to every closure, but this solution seems ugly to me. Could anyone point me to the relevant literature, or give me an idea of how this can be done?

  • Cleaning up a dynamic array of Objects in C++

    I'm a bit confused about handling an array of objects in C++, as I can't seem to find information about how they are passed around (reference or value) and how they are stored in an array. I would expect an array of objects to be an array of pointers to that object type, but I haven't found this written anywhere. Would they be pointers, or would the objects themselves be laid out in memory in an array? In the example below, a custom class myClass holds a string (would this make it of variable size, or does the string object hold a pointer to a string and therefore take up a consistent amount of space. I try to create a dynamic array of myClass objects within a myContainer. In the myContainer.addObject() method I attempt to make a bigger array, copy all the objects into it along with a new object, then delete the old one. I'm not at all confident that I'm cleaning up my memory properly with my destructors - what improvements could I make in this area? class myClass { private string myName; public unsigned short myAmount; myClass(string name, unsigned short amount) { myName = name; myAmount = amount; } //Do I need a destructor here? I want this to be like jquery's extend method. Anybody know of a library or a .net framework class that can help me do this?

    I'm giving a try at OpenCL, and in order to put this in production I'd like to be able to bind dynamically to OpenCL.DLL (when under Windows), in order to handle 'gracefully' the case where no OpenCL is installed on the host computer. Is there any available library (or code snippet) that takes care of this dynamic binding in C or C++, much like GLEW does for OpenGL ? I'd like to avoid the hassle to do it myself. Thanks,

    I'm using an Apple bluetooth keybord to control my Linux synergy server. SSH tunneling, Mouse, Keyboard, and Copy&Paste all work. Linux sees all the media/app keys that are on top of the F# keys correctly. However if I press any of those keys while controlling my OSX client, nothing happens on the client. Running synergys with -d DEBUG1 I can see the following keycode info: Pressing the "dim monitor" key that also serves as F1 generates: new mask: 0x2000 event: KeyPress code=232, state=0x0010 new mask: 0x2000 If I press "fn" and the same key, I can see it sending what I'm assuming is an F1: event: KeyPress code=67, state=0x0010 onKeyDown id=61374 mask=0x2000 button=0x0043 send key down to "foo.cisco.com" id=61374, mask=0x2000, button=0x0043 new mask: 0x2000 event: KeyRelease code=67, state=0x0010 onKeyUp id=61374 mask=0x2000 button=0x0043 send key up to "foo.cisco.com" id=61374, mask=0x2000, button=0x0043 I'm guessing I need to tweak my synergy.conf so that the server sends keys that it currently isn't.   • Function key emulator for Dell inspiron 6400 on external keyboard

    I have a 3 year old Dell inspiron 6400 with windows 7 and ubuntu 9.10 dual boot. I messed up my Laptop keyboard and hence my Fn key is not working and I need it to activate the wireless whose activation combination is Fn+F2. Is there any way I can emulate the Fn key or get my wireless to start in windows or ubuntu ? My bios has an option for Fn key emulation but that only supports external PS/2 keyboards and my laptop doesn't have a ps/2 slot. Any ideas would be appreciated ..
