• Superfish: How to keep sub menu open after it has been clicked

I have a menu and if one hovers over the menu a sub menu appears and if mouse moves out the sub menu disappears, now I want the following if I click on the on a item in the sub menu, I want the sub-menu to remain open, when the new page has been loaded. I'm using superfish Jquery plugin for this. • Help organising controllers logically

  Hi guys, I'm working on a site which i'm developing using an MVC structure. My models will represent all of data in the site, but i'm struggling a bit to decide on a good controller structure. The site will allow users to login/register and see personal data on a number of pages, but also still have access to public pages, e.g FAQs, Contact page etc. This is what I have at the moment... A Template Controller which handles main template display. The basic template for the site will remain the same whether or not you are logged in. A main Website Controller which extends the Template Controller and handles basic authentication. If the user is logged in, a User::control_panel() method is called from the constructor and this builds the control panel which will be present throughout the authenticated session. If user is not logged in, then a different view is loaded instead of the control panel, e.g with a login form. All protected/public page related controllers will extend the website controller. The user homepage has a number of widgets I want to display, which I'm doing via a Home Controller which extends the Website Controller. This controller generates these widgets via the following static calls: $this->template->content->featured_pet = Pet::featured(); $this->template->content->popular_names = Pet::most_popular(); $this->template->content->owner_map = User::generate_map(); $this->template->content->news = News::snippet(); I suppose the first thing I'm unsure about is if the above static calls to controllers (e.g Pet and User) are ok to remain static - these static methods will return views which are loaded into the main template. This is the way I've done things in the past but I'm curious to find out if this is a sensible approach. Other protected pages for signed in users will be similar to the Home Controller. Static pages will be handled by a Page Controller which will also extend the Website Controller, so that it will know whether or not the user control panel or login form should be shown on the left hand side of the template. The protected member only pages will not be routed to the Page Controller, this controller will only handle publicly available pages. One problem I have at the moment, is that if both public and protected pages extend the Website Controller, how do I avoid an infinite loop - for example, the idea is that the website controller should handle authentication then redirect to the requested controller (URL), but this will cause an infinite redirect loop, so i need to come up with a better way of dealing with this. All in all, does this setup make any sense?! Grateful for any feedback.

  Hi there! Does anyone know a 100% clone of the C/C++ printf for Delphi? Yes, I know the System.Format function, but it handles things a little different. For example if you want to format 3 to "003" you need "%03d" in C, but "%.3d" in Delphi. I have an application written in Delphi which has to be able to format numbers using C format strings, so do you know a snippet/library for that? Thanks in advance!

  Hi I have two assemblies, A and B, where A depends on B. I'm trying to obfuscate both of them together, i.e. in a way it doesn't break the app with the babel obfuscator. Is there a way to do that? Apparently this obfuscator doesn't handle multiple assemblies. If that's an issue, which other .NET obfuscator- that handles multiple assemblies- would you recommend?

• Handle a More Navigation Controller in an Interface Builder based TabBar Application

  Hi, I'm still not clear on how and when to use interface builder. I have a tabbar-based application, in which I added 6 navigations controllers. Instead of having 6 tabs, I would like 3 plus a "More" tab which allows the user to configure the tabs he wants. Is there any way to do that with IB ? • What events are triggered when resizing an image in designMode/contentEditable?

  In Firefox and IE when you enable contentEditable on a div that contains an image, the image gets handles when clicked on that allow you to resize it. I'm struggling to find an event that fires after the resize occurs. I want to be able to update a properties inspector with the correct height and width values when the resize takes place.   I am building a realtime web application. I want to be able to send broadcast messages from the server-side implementation of my python application. Here is the setup: socketio.js on the client-side TornadIO2 server as Socket.IO server python on the server-side (Django framework) I can succesfully send socket.io messages from the client to the server. The server handles these and can send a response. In the following i will describe how i did that. So, here are my questions: How can i send a broadcast message to all connected clients? How can i send a broadcast message to multiple connected clients that are subscribed on a specific channel? How can i send a broadcast message anywhere in my python code (outside of the BaseConnection class)? Would this require some sort of Socket.IO client for python or is this builtin with TornadIO2? All these broadcasts should be done in a reliable way, so i guess websockets are the best choice. But i am open to all good solutions.

I'm just wondering if there are any available solutions to accomplish the same effect of auto-completion that SO uses for entering tags. There are plugins which can handle one word but I haven't seen any that handles multiple words. Also, I hear JQuery is hosted on google code. Is it a good or bad idea to link directly from that?

• Javascript to encode cookie contents into a get or post?

I was thinking of reading the cookie on the domain that sets it and then sending it as an encrypted JSON object to the domain that wants to use it. • Using scroll on one memo edit to scroll on another as well

  I've got two memoedits which are similar (in order to compare two records) I would like to keep the scrolling in synch to ease comparison. I had originally thought there would be an OnScroll event, but didn't see one, nor anything similar, the closest I saw was Spin, this handles some possibilities, but not all. I also didn't see a way to navigate the rows. I did see the ScrollToCaret method, but this doesn't do what I want. Any ideas?
