  • GSM Cell Towers Location & Triangulation Algorithm (Similar to OpenCellID / Skyhook / Google's MyLocation)

    Hi all, assuming I have a Fingerprint DB of Cell towers. The data (including Long. & Lat. CellID, signal strength, etc) is achieved by 'wardriving', similar to OpenCellID.org. I would like to be able to get the location of the client mobile phone without GPS (similar to OpenCellID / Skyhook Wireless/ Google's 'MyLocation'), which sends me info on the Cell towers it "sees" at the moment: the Cell tower connected to, and another 6 neighboring cell towers (assuming GSM). I have read and Googled it for a long time and came across several effective theories, such as using SQL 2008 Spatial capabilities, or using an euclidean algorithm, or Markov Model. However, I am lacking a practical solution, preferably in C# or using SQL 2008 :) The location calculation will be done on the server and not on the client mobile phone. the phone's single job is to send via HTTP/GPRS, the tower it's connected to and other neighboring cell towers. Any input is appreciated, I have read so much and so far haven't really advanced much. Thanx

    I have set a CSS propery table-cell for a div. I have also specified the width for the div and set overflow hidden. But because of the table-cell property the div does not care about the width. If I place any large image, it goes out of the width.     Hi all, In my application I'm adding a label to tableView cells using "cell addsubview" and not "cell.contentview addsubview". I'm assigning a tag to that label, but I'm not able to fetch it using "cell.contentView viewWithTag:1". I perfectly understand that the label is not on contentView, but then how do I fetch it?   • keep keyboard open when deleting/inserting UITableView's cell (iphone)

    I have a login form using a UITableView. One of the cells has a UISwitch which when on will delete the row above it and when off reinsert it. But the first cell automatically has the keyboard up when the cell is created (basically when the view loads) (by using [cell becomeFirstResponder];) Inserting/deleting any of the cells means that the keyboard animates out and then animates back in. I'd like to remove this so the keyboard stays up while rows are deleted/inserted.

    I have a table that the user should not be able to edit directly (although user actions may cause changes). One column may contain a string too long for any reasonable size cell, so to see everything there, the user needs to scroll the cell (using arrow keys, for example). If I make either the column or cell not editible, I loose the ability to scroll the cell. If I make it editable, of course, I loose the ability to keep the user from changeing it. (I'm using NSArray controller and a couple of NSObject controllers to get from the model to the table view using bindings. Binding compliance via @property(copy) and @synthesize.     I have UITableView. I customized the cell height (increased). I have 4 labels(UILabel) and 1 image(UIImage) and 3 buttons (UIButton). one of the button is delete button. By touching the cell or button(play button) on the image a video is loaded and played. I need to delete the cell by touching delete button. If I touched the delete button the corresponding video is deleted from library . But, how to delete the cell and all remaining data in it ? I am not able to delete the cells or the data in the cells.     I have a table, but it is not in a list format, meaning not a column/row format. I look for specific cells to add a hover event that displays a description of the cell. $("#TableID td").hover(function(){ //ifCellThatIWant $(this).append("<span>Message that was brought in</span>"); }, function(){ $(this).children().remove(); }); The problem is right now is that the hover displays a span(with info. inside) that I used jquery to append the span to the cell when mouseover, which expands the cell, which is an effect that I don't like or want. I'm Trying to have an out of the table look,but still be by the cell that triggered the event; because if the span has a lot of info. in it, expanding the cell dynamically will start to look pretty nasty. Also will help if I had some type of css direction on how will I make the display for the mouseover "description" span look nice. My mind thought is that a way to accomplish what I want is giver the appended span the position of my mouse cursor when hover, but not sure if its the right approach or what the syntax would look like.

    Hello, I am in project where we are building a simple web calendar using Java EE technologies. We define a table where every row is an employee, and every column represents an hour interval. The table width and column widths are adjustable. In every cell we have a text retrieved from a database, indicating what the employee is doing / should do in that time interval. The problem is that sometimes the text in cells is getting bigger than the actual cell. My task is to make the text more "readable" by reducing it's length in a "smart way" so that it can fit in the cell more "gracefully". For example if initially in a cell I have: "Writing documents", after the resize I should retrieve: "Wrtng. dcmnts" or "Writ. docum." so that the text can fit well. Is there a smart way to do it ? Or removing vocals / split the string in two is enough ?

    I've written a script to automate the process of starting, stopping, and restarting WAS7 from the command line. Nothing starts automatically on one of our staging servers, so I have to start everything: deployment manager, node agent, app server, and Web server. The script I wrote seems to work pretty well. A coworker of mine recommended that I structure my commands differently. I'm wondering if there's a good, valid reason for doing so.     I have an IBM UltraNav USB keyboard with a trackpoint and a touchpad. Using xinput I've gotten a number of things working how I would like, but I've got one remaining problem. I can't find a way to turn off tap-to-select on the touchpad. I've searched around and everyone describes how to do it using the synaptics driver, but for some reason I can't seem to get this installed and working correctly on my Ubuntu 10.04 install. What can I do to turn this feature off without having synaptics? I'm about to lose my mind from all the accidental clicks.

    How to stop blanking screen although I am active on Ubuntu Karmic on old IBM Laptop 600E? After some time of working on the machine the screen goes blank. When I hit ESC on the built-in keyboard (not on the attached USB keyboard where I work) it comes back and everything works fine until the next screen-blanking. I suspect it is some power management issue. When I use an old keyboard that has a ps2 connector it does not happen. So my guess is that the usb keyboard does not update the power management timer that detects when the session was last used? I am using fluxbox window manager. I do not want to disable power management because it is nice that the fan only works at the necessary speed (the fan spped is regulated which I can hear) But I could disable power management for testing purposes.

    Using the variables extension, I want to change the background color of a cell in a table. So far I've done this: {{#vardefine:green|<span style="background:Green; color:White">text</span>}} The problem is that, when I add {{#var:green}} to the cell, only the text itself has a green background. Ideally, I want the whole cell to have a background color, like it does if I use this: | bgcolor="#ff00ff" | test or this | style="background:silver" |silver in the cell. Does anyone know how to solve this?

Next, A3 is the file name and B3 is the content for the file, etc. ONCE the content reads what is in cell A16 and B16 (length will vary), the file creation should stop, if not then I can delete the additional files created. This sheet will never change. Is there a way to establish the excel macro to always go to this sheet instead of have to select it with the mouse to identify the starting point? 2nd Objective I would like to have the following data to be used to create a text file. A:1 is what I need the name of the file to be. B:B is the content I want in the file. So, A2 - is the file name "geo-sitemap.xml" and B:B to be the content in the file (ignore the .xml file extension in the photo).     I'm using Excel Mac 2011. I have read some of the other answers, but this question is different because I want to apply conditional formatting to an entire row when its cell in column B contains the value 'Y'. Simple conditional formatting just formats that one cell. Whenever the field at column B for any given row contains the value 'Y', I'd like to format that row. Using Mac Excel's so-called "classic" conditional formatting, I have this: I would really like to apply that to every row, but it just paints the entire sheet red (because $B$3 contains "Y"). I can't seem to figure out how to get the reference to whatever is in field B for this row in the rule.
