  • @PersistenceContext cannot be resolved to a type

    - by Saken Kungozhin
    i was running a code in which there's a dependency @PersistenceContext and field private EntityManager em; both of which cannot be resolved to a type, what is the meaning of this error and how can i fix it? the code is here: package org.jboss.tools.examples.util; import java.util.logging.Logger;` import javax.enterprise.context.RequestScoped; import javax.enterprise.inject.Produces; import javax.enterprise.inject.spi.InjectionPoint; import javax.faces.context.FacesContext; /** * This class uses CDI to alias Java EE resources, such as the persistence context, to CDI beans * * <p> * Example injection on a managed bean field: * </p> * * <pre> * &#064;Inject * private EntityManager em; * </pre> */ public class Resources { // use @SuppressWarnings to tell IDE to ignore warnings about field not being referenced directly @SuppressWarnings("unused") @Produces @PersistenceContext private EntityManager em; @Produces public Logger produceLog(InjectionPoint injectionPoint) { return Logger.getLogger(injectionPoint.getMember().getDeclaringClass().getName()); } @Produces @RequestScoped public FacesContext produceFacesContext() { return FacesContext.getCurrentInstance(); } }

  • Aligning messageformat on printing a JTable.

    - by DanielFH
    I'm using this for the moment to print out my table, and it works. But I'm not really happy with the layout of the messageformatting, I would like to have both pagenumber and date in the footer, and date format aligned to the left side of the table, and page to the right. How can I do that? Been reading some stuff about overriding the PrintTable method, but seems to get pretty complex from what I've read. Hope you can help me with this issue, thank you. :) import javax.print.attribute.HashPrintRequestAttributeSet; import javax.print.attribute.PrintRequestAttributeSet; import javax.print.attribute.standard.OrientationRequested; import javax.swing.JTable; import dk.beesys.rims.ui.WindowInventory; public class Print { private static Print INSTANCE; public static Print getInstance() { if (INSTANCE == null) { INSTANCE = new Print(); } return INSTANCE; } private Print(){ } public void printList(java.awt.event.ActionEvent ignore) { String strDate = MessageFormat.format("{0,date,short} {0,time,short}", new Date()); MessageFormat header = new MessageFormat("- {0} -"); MessageFormat footer = new MessageFormat("Printed: " + strDate); PrintRequestAttributeSet aset = new HashPrintRequestAttributeSet(); aset.add(OrientationRequested.LANDSCAPE); try { WindowInventory.getInstance().getTable().print(JTable.PrintMode.FIT_WIDTH, header, footer, true, aset, true); } catch (java.awt.print.PrinterException e) { System.err.format("Cannot print %s%n", e.getMessage()); } }

  • Remote interface lookup-problem in Glassfish3

    - by andersmo
    I have deployed a war-file, with actionclasses and a facade, and a jar-file with ejb-components (a stateless bean, a couple of entities and a persistence.xml) on glassfish3. My problem is that i cant find my remote interface to the stateless bean from my facade. My bean and interface looks like: @Remote public interface RecordService {... @Stateless(name="RecordServiceBean", mappedName="ejb/RecordServiceJNDI") public class RecordServiceImpl implements RecordService { @PersistenceContext(unitName="record_persistence_ctx") private EntityManager em;... and if i look in the server.log the portable jndi looks like: Portable JNDI names for EJB RecordServiceBean : [java:global/recordEjb/RecordServiceBean, java:global/recordEjb/RecordServiceBean!domain.service.RecordService]|#] and my facade: ...InitialContext ctx= new InitialContext(); try{ recordService = (RecordService) ctx.lookup("java:global/recordEjb/RecordServiceBean!domain.service.RecordService"); } catch(Throwable t){ System.out.println("ooops"); try{ recordService = (RecordService)ctx.lookup("java:global/recordEjb/RecordServiceImpl"); } catch(Throwable t2){ System.out.println("noooo!"); }... } and when the facade makes the first call this exception occur: javax.naming.NamingException: Lookup failed for 'java:global/recordEjb/RecordServiceBean!domain.service.RecordService' in SerialContext [Root exception is javax.naming.NamingException: ejb ref resolution error for remote business interfacedomain.service.RecordService [Root exception is java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: domain.service.RecordService]] and the second call: javax.naming.NamingException: Lookup failed for 'java:global/recordEjb/RecordServiceBean' in SerialContext [Root exception is javax.naming.NamingException: ejb ref resolution error for remote business interfacedomain.service.RecordService [Root exception is java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: domain.service.RecordService]] I have also tested to inject the bean with the @EJB-annotation: @EJB(name="RecordServiceBean") private RecordService recordService; But that doesnt work either. What have i missed? I tried with an ejb-jar.xml but that shouldnt be nessesary. Is there anyone who can tell me how to fix this problem?

  • Error emailing outgoing sms

    - by BirthOfTragedy
    Is there anyway to listen for an outbound sms without having to import javax.wireless.messaging? I'm trying to write an app that listens for an sms sent from the device then emails the message of the sms, but I get the error: reference to Message is ambiguous, both class javax.wireless.messaging.Message in javax.wireless.messaging and class net.rim.blackberry.api.mail.Message in net.rim.blackberry.api.mail match I need to import net.rim.blackberry.api.mail.Message in order to sent an email. Is there a way to get around this as it seems that the two packages are clashing. My code: public void notifyIncomingMessage(MessageConnection messageconnection) {} public void notifyOutgoingMessage(javax.wireless.messaging.Message message) { try { String address = message.getAddress(); String msg = null; if ( message instanceof TextMessage ) { TextMessage tm = (TextMessage)message; msg = tm.getPayloadText(); } else if (message instanceof BinaryMessage) { StringBuffer buf = new StringBuffer(); byte[] data = ((BinaryMessage) message).getPayloadData(); msg = new String(data, "UTF-8"); Store store = Session.getDefaultInstance().getStore(); Folder[] folders = store.list(Folder.SENT); Folder sentfolder = folders[0]; Message in = new Message(sentfolder); Address recipients[] = new Address[1]; recipients[0]= new Address("[email protected]", "user"); in.addRecipients(Message.RecipientType.TO, recipients); in.setSubject("Outgoing sms"); in.setContent("You have just sent an sms to: " + address + "\n" + "Message: " + msg); in.setPriority(Message.Priority.HIGH); Transport.send(in); in.setFlag(Message.Flag.OPENED, true); Folder folder = in.getFolder(); folder.deleteMessage(in); } } catch (IOException me) { System.out.println(me); } } }

  • Java EE 6 and NoSQL/MongoDB on GlassFish using JPA and EclipseLink 2.4 (TOTD #175)

    - by arungupta
    TOTD #166 explained how to use MongoDB in your Java EE 6 applications. The code in that tip used the APIs exposed by the MongoDB Java driver and so requires you to learn a new API. However if you are building Java EE 6 applications then you are already familiar with Java Persistence API (JPA). Eclipse Link 2.4, scheduled to release as part of Eclipse Juno, provides support for NoSQL databases by mapping a JPA entity to a document. Their wiki provides complete explanation of how the mapping is done. This Tip Of The Day (TOTD) will show how you can leverage that support in your Java EE 6 applications deployed on GlassFish 3.1.2. Before we dig into the code, here are the key concepts ... A POJO is mapped to a NoSQL data source using @NoSQL or <no-sql> element in "persistence.xml". A subset of JPQL and Criteria query are supported, based upon the underlying data store Connection properties are defined in "persistence.xml" Now, lets lets take a look at the code ... Download the latest EclipseLink 2.4 Nightly Bundle. There is a Installer, Source, and Bundle - make sure to download the Bundle link (20120410) and unzip. Download GlassFish 3.1.2 zip and unzip. Install the Eclipse Link 2.4 JARs in GlassFish Remove the following JARs from "glassfish/modules": org.eclipse.persistence.antlr.jar org.eclipse.persistence.asm.jar org.eclipse.persistence.core.jar org.eclipse.persistence.jpa.jar org.eclipse.persistence.jpa.modelgen.jar org.eclipse.persistence.moxy.jar org.eclipse.persistence.oracle.jar Add the following JARs from Eclipse Link 2.4 nightly build to "glassfish/modules": org.eclipse.persistence.antlr_3.2.0.v201107111232.jar org.eclipse.persistence.asm_3.3.1.v201107111215.jar org.eclipse.persistence.core.jpql_2.4.0.v20120407-r11132.jar org.eclipse.persistence.core_2.4.0.v20120407-r11132.jar org.eclipse.persistence.jpa.jpql_2.0.0.v20120407-r11132.jar org.eclipse.persistence.jpa.modelgen_2.4.0.v20120407-r11132.jar org.eclipse.persistence.jpa_2.4.0.v20120407-r11132.jar org.eclipse.persistence.moxy_2.4.0.v20120407-r11132.jar org.eclipse.persistence.nosql_2.4.0.v20120407-r11132.jar org.eclipse.persistence.oracle_2.4.0.v20120407-r11132.jar Start MongoDB Download latest MongoDB from here (2.0.4 as of this writing). Do you want to try accessing relational and non-relational (aka NoSQL) databases in the same PU ?

  • Getting ClassCastException with JSF 1.2 Custom Component and BEA 10.3

    - by Tobi
    Im getting a ClassCastException if i use Attributes in my Custom Headline Tag. Without Attributes rendering works fine. Calling <t:headline value="test" /> gives a ClassCastException even before a Method in my HeadlineComponent or HeadlineTag-Class is called. <t:headline /> works fine. I'm using MyFaces-1.2, on BEA 10.3 default.jsp <%@ page language="java" contentType="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" pageEncoding="ISO-8859-1"%> <%@ taglib prefix="f" uri="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"%> <%@ taglib prefix="h" uri="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html"%> <%@ taglib prefix="t" uri="http://www.tobi.de/taglibrary" %> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1"> <title>Tobi Test</title> </head> <body> <f:view> <t:headline value="test" /> </f:view> </body> </html> HeadlineComponent.java package tobi.web.component.headline; import java.io.IOException; import javax.el.ValueExpression; import javax.faces.component.UIOutput; import javax.faces.context.FacesContext; import javax.faces.context.ResponseWriter; public class HeadlineComponent extends UIOutput { private String value; private Integer size; @Override public Object saveState(FacesContext context) { Object values[] = new Object[3]; values[0] = super.saveState(context); values[1] = value; values[2] = size; return ((Object)(values)); } @Override public void restoreState(FacesContext context, Object state) { Object values[] = (Object[])state; super.restoreState(context, values[0]); value = (String)values[1]; size = (Integer)values[2]; } @Override public void encodeBegin(FacesContext context) throws IOException { // Wenn keine Groesse angegeben wurde default 3 String htmlTag = (size == null) ? In the previous post JMS Step 1 - How to Create a Simple JMS Queue in Weblogic Server 11g I showed you how to create a JMS queue and its dependent objects in WebLogic Server. In this article, we will use a sample program to write a message to that queue. Please review the previous post if you have not created those objects yet, as they will be required later in this example. The previous post also includes useful background information and links to the Oracle documentation for addional research. The following post in this series will show how to read the message from the queue again. 1. Source code The following java code will be used to write a message to the JMS queue. It is based on a sample program provided with the WebLogic Server installation. The sample is not installed by default, but needs to be installed manually using the WebLogic Server Custom Installation option, together with many, other useful samples. You can either copy-paste the following code into your editor, or install all the samples. The knowledge base article in My Oracle Support: How To Install WebLogic Server and JMS Samples in WLS 10.3.x (Doc ID 1499719.1) describes how to install the samples. QueueSend.java package examples.jms.queue; import java.io.BufferedReader; import java.io.IOException; import java.io.InputStreamReader; import java.util.Hashtable; import javax.jms.*; import javax.naming.Context; import javax.naming.InitialContext; import javax.naming.NamingException; /** This example shows how to establish a connection * and send messages to the JMS queue. How to Use This Class 2.1 From the file system on UNIX/Linux Log in to a machine with a WebLogic installation and create a directory to contain the source and code matching the package name, e.g. $HOME/examples/jms/queue. Copy the above QueueSend.java file to this directory. Set the CLASSPATH and environment to match the WebLogic server environment. Go to $MIDDLEWARE_HOME/user_projects/domains/base_domain/bin  and execute . ./setDomainEnv.sh Collect the following information required to run the script: The JNDI name of a JMS queue to use In the Weblogic server console > Services > Messaging > JMS Modules > (Module name, e.g. TestJMSModule) > (JMS queue name, e.g. TestJMSQueue)Select the queue and note its JNDI name, e.g. jms/TestJMSQueue The JNDI name of a connection factory to connect to the queue Follow the same path as above to get the connection factory for the above queue, e.g. TestConnectionFactory and its JNDI namee.g. jms/TestConnectionFactory The URL and port of the WebLogic server running the above queue Check the JMS server for the above queue and the managed server it is targeted to, for example soa_server1. Now find the port this managed server is listening on, by looking at its entry under Environment > Servers in the WLS console, e.g. 8001 The URL for the server to be given to the QueueSend program in this example will therefore be t3://host.domain:8001 e.g. t3://jbevans-lx.de.oracle.com:8001 Edit QueueSend.java and enter the above queue name and connection factory respectively under ...public final static String  JMS_FACTORY=" jms/TestConnectionFactory "; ... public final static String QUEUE=" jms/TestJMSQueue "; ... Compile QueueSend.java using javac QueueSend.java Go to the source’s top-level directory and execute it using java examples.jms.queue.QueueSend t3://jbevans-lx.de.oracle.com:8001 This will prompt for a text input or “quit” to end. In the WLS console, go to the queue and select Monitoring to confirm that a new message was written to the queue. 2.2 From JDeveloper Create a new application in JDeveloper, called, for example JMSTests. When prompted for a project name, enter QueueSend and select Java as the technology Default Package = examples.jms.queue (but you can enter anything here as you will overwrite it in the code later). Leave the other values at their defaults. Press Finish Create a new Java class called QueueSend and use the default values This will create a file called QueueSend.java. Open QueueSend.java, if it is not already open and replace all its contents with the QueueSend java code listed above Some lines might have warnings due to unfound objects. These are due to missing libraries in the JDeveloper project. Add the following libraries to the JDeveloper project: right-click the QueueSend  project in the navigation menu and select Libraries and Classpath , then Add JAR/Directory  Go to the folder containing the JDeveloper installation and find/choose the file javax.jms_1.1.1.jar , e.g. at D:\oracle\jdev11116\modules\javax.jms_1.1.1.jar Do the same for the weblogic.jar file located, for example in D:\oracle\jdev11116\wlserver_10.3\server\lib\weblogic.jar Now you should be able to compile the project, for example by selecting the Make or Rebuild icons   If you try to execute the project, you will get a usage message, as it requires a parameter pointing to the WLS installation containing the JMS queue, for example t3://jbevans-lx.de.oracle.com:8001 . You can automatically pass this parameter to the program from JDeveloper by editing the project’s Run/Debug/Profile. Select the project properties, select Run/Debug/Profile and edit the Default run configuration and add the connection parameter to the Program Arguments field If you execute it again, you will see that it has passed the parameter to the start command If you get a ClassNotFoundException for the class weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory , then check that the weblogic.jar file was correctly added to the project in one of the earlier steps above. Set the values of JMS_FACTORY and QUEUE the same way as described above in the description of how to use this from a Linux file system, i.e. ...public final static String  JMS_FACTORY=" jms/TestConnectionFactory "; ... public final static String QUEUE=" jms/TestJMSQueue "; ... You need to make one more change to the project. If you execute it now, it will prompt for the payload for the JMS message, but you won’t be able to enter it by default in JDeveloper. You need to enable program input for the project first. Select the project’s properties, then Tool Settings, then check the Allow Program Input checkbox at the bottom and Save. Now when you execute the project, you will get a text entry field at the bottom into which you can enter the payload. You can enter multiple messages until you enter “quit”, which will cause the program to stop. The following screen shot shows the TestJMSQueue’s Monitoring page, after a message was sent to the queue: This concludes the sample. In the following post I will show you how to read the message from the queue again.

  • Unable to set cookie in response header (newcookie doesn't show in external browser) : Jersey jax-rs

    - by Pankhuri
    I am trying to set a session cookie from server side : import javax.ws.rs.core.NewCookie; import javax.ws.rs.core.Response; public class Login { @POST @Produces("application/json") @Consumes("application/json") public Response login (String RequestPacket){ NewCookie cookie=null; CacheControl cc=new CacheControl(); cookie = LoginBO.validUser(RequestPacket); cc.setNoCache(true); if(cookie.getValue()!=null) return Response.ok("welcome "+cookie.getValue()).cookie(cookie).cacheControl(cc).build(); else return Response.status(404).entity("Invalid User").build(); } } In eclipse browser: on the client side (using gxt for that) when I print header i get the Set-Cookie field. which is expected. But the browser is not storing the cookie. in external browser: the header doesn't have any set-cookie field. Should I use HTTPServletResponse? But shouldn't the javax.ws.rs.core.Response work as well?

  • How to get roles with JSR 196 authentification in GlassFish?

    - by deamon
    I want to use a custom authentication module conforming to JSR 196 in GlassFish 3. The interface javax.security.auth.message.ServerAuth has the method: AuthStatus validateRequest( MessageInfo messageInfo, javax.security.auth.Subject clientSubject, javax.security.auth.Subject serviceSubject ) AuthStatus can be one of several constants like FAILURE or SUCCESS. The question is: How can I get the roles from a "role datebase" with JSR 196? Example: The server receives a request with a SSO token (CAS token for example), checks whether the token is valid, populates the remote user object with roles fetches from a database via JDBC or from REST service via http. Is the role fetching in the scope of JSR 196? How could that be implemented? Do I have to use JSR 196 together with JSR 115 to use custom authentication and a custom role source?

  • Unbelievable: Cannot cast from class X to its super class

    - by Phuong Nguyen de ManCity fan
    I'm encountering a very weird problem with Spring (3.0.1.RELEASE), TestNG (5.11) and Maven Surefire (2.5). I have a test class that extends a Spring helper class for testNG so that test context can be loaded from an xml file (that contains some bean definitions). My project was imported into eclipse using m2eclipse (using Import Maven Project) The class run fine in Eclipse TestNG runner. However, it throws this exception with Maven Surefire Caused by: java.lang.ClassCastException: com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.jaxp.DocumentBuilderFactoryImpl cannot be cast to javax.xml.parsers.DocumentBuilderFactory at javax.xml.parsers.DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance(DocumentBuilderFactory.java:123) at org.springframework.beans.factory.xml.DefaultDocumentLoader.createDocumentBuilderFactory(DefaultDocumentLoader.java:89) at org.springframework.beans.factory.xml.DefaultDocumentLoader.loadDocument(DefaultDocumentLoader.java:70) at org.springframework.beans.factory.xml.XmlBeanDefinitionReader.doLoadBeanDefinitions(XmlBeanDefinitionReader.java:388) I have eliminated all involved dependencies in my pom so that the two classes com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.jaxp.DocumentBuilderFactoryImpl and javax.xml.parsers.DocumentBuilderFactory are coming from JRE only (the rt.jar). So, it looks so unbelievable to me. I wonder if there is any mechanism in loading class that can explain for this behavior? Thanks.

  • JPanel Layout Image Cutoff

    - by Trizicus
    I am adding images to a JPanel but the images are getting cut off. I was originally trying BorderLayout but that only worked for one image and adding others added image cut-off. So I switched to other layouts and the best and closest I could get was BoxLayout however that adds a very large cut-off which is not acceptable either. So basically; How can I add images (from a custom JComponent) to a custom JPanel without bad effects such as the one present in the code. Custom JPanel: import java.awt.Color; import java.awt.Graphics; import java.awt.Graphics2D; import java.awt.event.ActionEvent; import java.awt.event.ActionListener; import java.awt.event.MouseEvent; import java.awt.event.MouseListener; import javax.swing.BoxLayout; import javax.swing.JPanel; import javax.swing.Timer; public class GraphicsPanel extends JPanel implements MouseListener { private Entity test; private Timer timer; private long startTime = 0; private int numFrames = 0; private float fps = 0.0f; GraphicsPanel() { test = new Entity("test.png"); Thread t1 = new Thread(test); t1.start(); Entity ent2 = new Entity("images.jpg"); ent2.setX(150); ent2.setY(150); Thread t2 = new Thread(ent2); t2.start(); Entity ent3 = new Entity("test.png"); ent3.setX(0); ent3.setY(150); Thread t3 = new Thread(ent3); t3.start(); //ESSENTIAL setLayout(new BoxLayout(this, BoxLayout.X_AXIS)); add(test); add(ent2); add(ent3); //GAMELOOP timer = new Timer(30, new Gameloop(this)); timer.start(); addMouseListener(this); } @Override public void paintComponent(Graphics g) { super.paintComponent(g); Graphics2D g2 = (Graphics2D) g.create(); g2.setClip(0, 0, getWidth(), getHeight()); g2.setColor(Color.BLACK); g2.drawString("FPS: " + fps, 1, 15); } public void getFPS() { ++numFrames; if (startTime == 0) { startTime = System.currentTimeMillis(); } else { long currentTime = System.currentTimeMillis(); long delta = (currentTime - startTime); if (delta > 1000) { fps = (numFrames * 1000) / delta; numFrames = 0; startTime = currentTime; } } } public void mouseClicked(MouseEvent e) {} public void mousePressed(MouseEvent e) {} public void mouseReleased(MouseEvent e) {} public void mouseEntered(MouseEvent e) { } public void mouseExited(MouseEvent e) { } class Gameloop implements ActionListener { private GraphicsPanel gp; Gameloop(GraphicsPanel gp) { this.gp = gp; } public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) { try { gp.getFPS(); gp.repaint(); } catch (Exception ez) { } } } } Main class: import java.awt.EventQueue; import javax.swing.JFrame; public class MainWindow { public static void main(String[] args) { new MainWindow(); } private JFrame frame; private GraphicsPanel gp = new GraphicsPanel(); MainWindow() { EventQueue.invokeLater(new Runnable() { public void run() { frame = new JFrame("Graphics Practice"); frame.setSize(680, 420); frame.setVisible(true); frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE); frame.add(gp); } }); } } Custom JComponent import java.awt.Color; import java.awt.Dimension; import java.awt.Graphics; import java.awt.Graphics2D; import java.awt.image.BufferedImage; import javax.imageio.ImageIO; import javax.swing.JComponent; public class Entity extends JComponent implements Runnable { private BufferedImage bImg; private int x = 0; private int y = 0; private int entityWidth, entityHeight; private String filename; Entity(String filename) { this.filename = filename; } public void run() { bImg = loadBImage(filename); entityWidth = bImg.getWidth(); entityHeight = bImg.getHeight(); setPreferredSize(new Dimension(entityWidth, entityHeight)); } @Override public void paintComponent(Graphics g) { super.paintComponent(g); Graphics2D g2d = (Graphics2D) g.create(); g2d.drawImage(bImg, x, y, null); g2d.dispose(); } public BufferedImage loadBImage(String filename) { try { bImg = ImageIO.read(getClass().getResource(filename)); } catch (Exception e) { } return bImg; } public int getEntityWidth() { return entityWidth; } public int getEntityHeight() { return entityHeight; } public int getX() { return x; } public int getY() { return y; } public void setX(int x) { this.x = x; } public void setY(int y) { this.y = y; } }

  • Integrate openid4java to GWT Project

    - by Slyker
    Hi, I created an GWT project in eclipse. Now I tried to implement openId with using the openid4java library. I imported the .jar files via properties--java build path: openid4java-0.9.5.jar lib/*.jar In addition I copied the .jar files into the war/WEB-INF/lib directory. The problem at hand comes up when I call the authenticate() method. Then I get a: HTTP ERROR 500 Problem accessing /openid/openid. Any help will be appreciated. abc.xsd <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xn="project-xml-r4j_another.xsd"> <xsd:import namespace="project-xml-r4j_another.xsd"/> <xsd:element name="abc" type="abc"> </xsd:element> <xsd:complexType name="abc"> <xsd:sequence> <xsd:element name="test" type="test" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1"> </xsd:element> <!--<xsd:element name="proj" type="xn:proj"/>--> </xsd:sequence> <xsd:attribute name="id" type="xsd:ID" use="required"/> </xsd:complexType> <xsd:complexType name="test"> <xsd:attribute name="id" type="xsd:ID" use="required"></xsd:attribute> <xsd:attribute name="value" use="required"> <xsd:simpleType> <xsd:restriction base="xsd:string"> <xsd:maxLength value="100" /> </xsd:restriction> </xsd:simpleType> </xsd:attribute> </xsd:complexType> </xsd:schema> project-xml-r4j_another.xsd <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" targetNamespace="project-xml-r4j_another.xsd" xmlns="project-xml-r4j_another.xsd" elementFormDefault="qualified" attributeFormDefault="unqualified"> <xsd:element name="proj" type="proj"> <xsd:annotation> <xsd:documentation> The project is the root tag of a project-xml. </xsd:documentation> </xsd:annotation> </xsd:element> <xsd:complexType name="proj"> <xsd:attribute name="id" type="xsd:ID" use="required"/> </xsd:complexType> </xsd:schema> Test case package test; import java.io.File; import java.io.IOException; import javax.xml.XMLConstants; import javax.xml.transform.Source; import javax.xml.transform.stream.StreamSource; import javax.xml.validation.Schema; import javax.xml.validation.SchemaFactory; import javax.xml.validation.Validator; import org.apache.log4j.Logger; import org.junit.Test; import org.xml.sax.SAXException; import org.xml.sax.SAXParseException; import org.xml.sax.helpers.DefaultHandler; import com.ericsson.ccrtool.core.project.projectxml.InvalidProjectXmlException; public class TestSchema { private static final Logger logger = Logger.getLogger(TestSchema.class); static final String W3C_XML_SCHEMA = XMLConstants.W3C_XML_SCHEMA_NS_URI; @Test public void test() { System.out.println("TestSchema.test()"); try { SchemaFactory schemaFactory = SchemaFactory.newInstance(W3C_XML_SCHEMA); // create a grammar object.   • Naming convention for utility classes in Java

    - by Zarjay
    When writing utility classes in Java, what are some good guidelines to follow? Should packges be "util" or "utils"? Is it ClassUtil or ClassUtils? When is a class a "Helper" or a "Utility"? Utility or Utilities? Or do you use a mixture of them? The standard Java library uses both Utils and Utilities: javax.swing.Utilities javax.print.attribute.AttributeSetUtilities javax.swing.plaf.basic.BasicGraphicsUtils Apache uses a variety of Util and Utils, although mostly Utils: org.apache.commons.modeler.util.DomUtil org.apache.commons.modeler.util.IntrospectionUtils org.apache.commons.io.FileSystemUtils org.apache.lucene.wordnet.AnalyzerUtil org.apache.lucene.util.ArrayUtil org.apache.lucene.xmlparser.DOMUtils Spring uses a lot of Helper and Utils classes: org.springframework.web.util.UrlPathHelper org.springframework.core.ReflectiveVisitorHelper org.springframework.core.NestedExceptionUtils org.springframework.util.NumberUtils So, how do you name your utility classes?

  • How to disable JSR-303 Hibernate Validation in Spring3

    - by Pinchy
    After putting hibernate-validator.jar and javax.validation-api.jar in my classpath the org.springframework.dao.DataIntegrityViolationException is replaced by org.hibernate.exception.ConstraintViolationException and this is causing a lot of issues. I have to put this two jars to be able to upgrade Jersey to 2.4, it has dependency on these two jars. Putting these properties into hibernate.properties file doesn't help, hibernate simply ignores them but it loads the properties on start-up loaded properties from resource hibernate.properties: {hibernate.validator.apply_to_ddl=false,hibernate.validator.autoregister_listeners=false etc} javax.persistence.validation.mode=none hibernate.validator.autoregister_listeners=false hibernate.validator.apply_to_ddl=false I am using Spring 3.2.4 with SessionFactory and mapping resources from hbm.xml files with constraints in it, hibernate 3.6.9.final, hibernate-validator 5.0.final, javax.validator-api 1.1.0.Final I just can't figure out how to disable hibernate validation, any help will be much appreciated.

  • j2ME setLocationListener()

    - by Jeff Catania
    I'm programming a GPS tracking system using the Motorola i335 running on Sprint's IDEN network. I'm using the javax.microedition.location api to find the GPS coordinates. To set up the updating, you use the [setLocationListener][1] method. I originally tried passing (listener,2,1,1). However there was too many invalid locations being received (where the GPS could not get the fix in the specified time), so I changed the parameters to (listener, 20, 20, 1). Now the system barely throws any invalid locations. My goal is to get the fastest number of updates that are realistic. Have any of you found a happy medium for parameters of this method? • CDI @Conversation not propagated with handleNavigation()

    - by Thomas Kernstock
    I have a problem with the propagation of a long runnig conversation when I redirect the view by the handleNavigation() method. Here is my test code: I have a conversationscoped bean and two views: conversationStart.xhtml is called in Browser with URL http://localhost/tests/conversationStart.jsf?paramTestId=ParameterInUrl <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"> <f:metadata> <f:viewParam name="paramTestId" value="#{conversationTest.fieldTestId}" /> <f:event type="preRenderView" listener="#{conversationTest.preRenderView}" /> </f:metadata> <h:head> <title>Conversation Test</title> </h:head> <h:body> <h:form> <h2>Startpage Test Conversation with Redirect</h2> <h:messages /> <h:outputText value="Testparameter: #{conversationTest.fieldTestId}"/><br /> <h:outputText value="Logged In: #{conversationTest.loggedIn}"/><br /> <h:outputText value="Conversation ID: #{conversationTest.convID}"/><br /> <h:outputText value="Conversation Transient: #{conversationTest.convTransient}"/><br /> <h:commandButton action="#{conversationTest.startLogin}" value="Login ->" rendered="#{conversationTest.loggedIn==false}" /><br /> <h:commandLink action="/tests/conversationLogin.xhtml?faces-redirect=true" value="Login ->" rendered="#{conversationTest.loggedIn==false}" /><br /> </h:form> <h:link outcome="/tests/conversationLogin.xhtml" value="Login Link" rendered="#{conversationTest.loggedIn==false}"> <f:param name="cid" value="#{conversationTest.convID}"></f:param> </h:link> </h:body> </html> The Parameter is written to the beanfield and displayed in the view correctly. There are 3 different possibilites to navigate to the next View. All 3 work fine. The beanfield shows up the next view (conversationLogin.xhtml) too: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"> <h:head> <title>Conversation Test</title> </h:head> <h:body> <h:form> <h2>Loginpage Test Conversation with Redirect</h2> <h:messages /> <h:outputText value="Testparameter: #{conversationTest.fieldTestId}"/><br /> <h:outputText value="Logged In: #{conversationTest.loggedIn}"/><br /> <h:outputText value="Conversation ID: #{conversationTest.convID}"/><br /> <h:outputText value="Conversation Transient: #{conversationTest.convTransient}"/><br /> <h:commandButton action="#{conversationTest.login}" value="Login And Return" /><br /> </h:form> </h:body> </html> When I return to the Startpage by clicking the button the conversation bean still contains all values. So everything is fine. Here is the bean: package test; import java.io.Serializable; import javax.annotation.PostConstruct; import javax.enterprise.context.Conversation; import javax.enterprise.context.ConversationScoped; import javax.faces.event.ComponentSystemEvent; import javax.inject.Inject; import javax.inject.Named; @Named @ConversationScoped public class ConversationTest implements Serializable{ private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L; final String CONVERSATION_NAME="longRun"; @Inject Conversation conversation; private boolean loggedIn; private String fieldTestId; @PostConstruct public void init(){ if(conversation.isTransient()){ conversation.begin(CONVERSATION_NAME); System.out.println("New Conversation started"); } loggedIn=false; } public String getConvID(){ return conversation.getId(); } public boolean isConvTransient(){ return conversation.isTransient(); } public boolean getLoggedIn(){ return loggedIn; } public String startLogin(){ return "/tests/conversationLogin.xhtml?faces-redirect=true"; } public String login(){ loggedIn=true; return "/tests/conversationStart.xhtml?faces-redirect=true"; } public void preRenderView(ComponentSystemEvent ev) { // if(!loggedIn){ // System.out.println("Will redirect to Login"); // FacesContext ctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance(); // ctx.getApplication().getNavigationHandler().handleNavigation(ctx, null, "/tests/conversationLogin.xhtml?faces-redirect=true"); // ctx.renderResponse(); // } } public void setFieldTestId(String fieldTestId) { System.out.println("fieldTestID was set to: "+fieldTestId); this.fieldTestId = fieldTestId; } public String getFieldTestId() { return fieldTestId; } } Now comes the problem !! As soon as I try to redirect the page in the preRenderView method of the bean (just uncomment the code in the method), using handleNavigation() the bean is created again in the next view instead of using the allready created instance. Although the cid parameter is propagated to the next view ! Has anybody an idea what's wrong ? best regards Thomas

  • Binding a Java Integer to JavaScriptEngine doesn't work

    - by rplantiko
    To see how binding Java objects to symbols in a dynamic language works, I wrote the following spike test, binding a java.lang.Integer to the symbol i to be changed in JavaScript: @Test public void bindToLocalVariable() throws ScriptException { javax.script.ScriptEngineManager sem = new javax.script.ScriptEngineManager(); javax.script.ScriptEngine engine = sem.getEngineByName("JavaScript"); Integer i = new Integer(17); engine.put( "i", i ); engine.eval( "i++;" ); // Now execute JavaScript assertEquals( 18, i.intValue() ); } Unfortunately, I get a failure. java.lang.AssertionError: expected:<18> but was:<17> JavaScript knows the symbol i (otherwise it would have thrown a ScriptException which is not the case), but the increment operation i++ is not performed on the original Integer object. Any explanations?
