  • NetBeans not liking libraries in lib-src

    I'm working on a project with a group that is using Eclipse, but I'm using Netbeans. Up until today this wasn't an issue. When updating from the repo they have added some source code as a library under a directory called /lib-src. When I try to compile the code I get an error that it can't find certain packages... these are the packages under /lib-src. Using NetBeans I can add the library as a folder so now the references to those packages are happy.   • Missing taglibrary in Netbeans Hibernate tutorial xhtml file?

    I just finished the Netbeans introduction to Hibernate tutorial ( http://netbeans.org/kb/docs/web/hibernate-webapp.html#01 ) and I am getting the following error: "This page calls for XML namespace declared with prefix br but no taglibrary exists" Now, I have seen a similar question somewhere else: http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5430327 but the answer is not listed there. Or, if it is, then I am clearly missing it -- line one of my index.xhtml file reads "http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml". It also does not explain why, when I reload localhost:8080, the message disappears.   • Code cleanup in netbeans

    Is there something similar to the Eclipse cleanup rules ((Preferences Java Code Style Clean Up) in NetBeans? The cleanup rules in eclipse will allow you to clean things up like organizing imports, removing unnecessary casts, adding missing override annotations etc. Also can you do that on a whole set of classes/packages instead of individual classes?

Netbeans keeps saying the version of PHPUnit is too old and that I need at least 3.3.0, while I am using 3.3.9.     Hi I am using Netbeans 6.8 on ubuntu 10.04 and am having trouble installing RESTful Authentication. I have gone to Install Generators, selected restful_authentication and installed it - all messages from Gem show that it has installed and it shows under the Installed tab. However, when I come to use it by clicking on the Generator drop down there is no sign of it. I beleive ther should be a selection saying "authenticated".

    i am particularly using netbeans gui editor and i am new to gui i have a jframe created and I added jtabbedpanel. inside the jtabbedpanel i have 2 panels that i call standard and compact i have set standardPanel = new ImagePanel(); which ImagePanel.java is located on different java file how am I suppose to put a panel on different file for reusability ? i obviously dont want all the codes in a single file. is this the right way to design a gui ? thanks

However, when I try to build the sample application (labrepl) I get a bunch of errors and a failed build.     My application has recently started throwing NoClassDefFoundError errors when I am running my application from within NetBeans. It never used to do this. And when I run this outside of NetBeans using the command line argument that it provides once built, these errors are not produced Is this a bug with Netbeans?     JAVA - NETBEANS This is an IDE question I am always working with collapsed methods, because I want to be able to see my methods all together. This is a little time consuming because I have to use the mouse to scroll up to the declaration of the method and click on the - (minus) icon. And then respectively go to the method I want to work on and click on the + (plus) icon. Is there a way through a keyboard shortcut to do the collapse (and respectively the expand)?

    Not quite sure whether I'm using the right terminology here, but Netbeans has a very nice feature where e.g. if you start typing for it will offer to write a code fragment looping over an array or list, basing it on the name and type of an array or list variable actually in scope. If more than one such variable is in scope it will guess, sometimes correctly and sometimes not. Is there a way to aim this feature at the correct array/list variable?

    I am using Netbeans 6.1 and Tomcat 6.0.1.6. I made some very minor changes to a project that had been working and now I am getting the following error: com.sun.rave.web.ui.appbase.ApplicationException: org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Could not add one or more tag libraries. The only change I made was to a backing bean method, no new UI components, jsp, etc. Any direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    After building the application GUI, I realised it was a little bit too complex and I could reuse some of the Swing components. The result is a complex class with many anidated JPanels. My question is: does Netbeans provide a way to split a JPanel and its children components into a different class? If I do it by hand, will the GUI designer still work? Thanks!
