  What are your experiences with Beta2 of Visual Lightswitch? Can it already be used for real life projects? Does anybody know, when the final (RTM) version will be out? I am very intersting in using Lightswitch in the future for RAD, but I am a litte bit self-conscious, if the tool is flexible enough for my dividual requirements and if a Lightswitch solution can be extended with own code !? Can it be mixed with "normal" Silverlight?

Does anybody provide Visual Studio support for *IL in the form of: project templates, IntelliSense integration, and those kind of RAD features? Edits: I don't mean restricted to out of the box support. For example, I can download Visual Studio extensions to support Python, COBOL, etc. Want the same for *IL. There is a stand-alone Intermediate Assembler tool.

• Unable to deploy WAR file to Websphere using IBM Rational Application Developer

  Hello - I am using the IBM RAD IDE and building a dynamic web project. When I build the project and attempt to add it to the server by selecting 'add or remove projects' I get the response that there are no projects to add or remove. Does this mean I will have to create a EAR file (J2EE Project) and add my web project to it in order to deploy to the local WAS? Might I be missing some essential configuration?

  Who’s provides the best 3rd party Silverlight controls for LOB applications? In the past I’ve used Infragistics for WinForm controls which were very good and they also provide good support. However seem to be a bit behind the likes of Telerik in the Silverlight space? I’ve also noticed the Silverlight toolkit as well – are these as robust as Telerik’s? I'd be grateful if anyone could share any opinions or experiences that they may have.

  When you create an ASP.NET page with no controls and runs it, a view state hidden field is added. Looking at what's in it (with ViewStateDecorder) reveals that there's a single value there that contains a number. My question is - what is this number? P.S. I guess this value appears on every page, with or without controls.

For example : There is a dropDownList in one of them and when user selects any item from dropDownList, it can pass the selected value to the other user control which includes GridView to show related data of selected item value from the user control which contains the dropdownlist.   I have a Delphi 2007 VCL TPanel with a TPopupMenu assigned to it. There are some TEdit controls on the panel. The edits inherit the popup menu of the parent panel. I want to not allow this popup inheriting, so the edits will show the default Windows TEdit popup menu with Copy, Cut, Paste, etc., but have not found a way to do it yet. There doesn't appear to be a "ParentPopupMenu" type property to set which controls inherit it from the parent component.
