  Database: DB2 v9.5 on AIX Scenario: I have 2 instances- db2inst1 and db2inst2. I created db2inst1 first. I went ahead and created db2inst2 next and I do 'db2set -all' on db2inst2 instance I see this: [g] DB2INSTDEF=db2inst1 I would like to reset DB2INSTDEF and make it not show up when I do 'db2set -all' (other than dropping and recreating db2inst1).   I have three Tabs in my WinForm; depending on the selected RaioButton in the TabPages[0] I added few dynamic controls on the relevant TabPage. On Button_Click event the controls are added, but the prob is the I'm not able to remove the Dynamically added controls from the other (irrelevant) TabPage.   I have a "global variable" XML schema in TIBCO BusinessWorks. It's simpler than it looks - basically just a single repeatable node. Image: Tibco globals. (old URL redacted) Various processes in the system can update this list. Checking to see if they are listed is easy: $GetVariable/subscriber-list/subscriber = $_processContext/ns:ProcessContext/ProcessId Adding themselves to the list is pretty easy too, using a Set Variable activity (see bottom half of image) But how can a process remove itself from the list? I'm sure there's a type of mapping I can use to filter out the node I want and let the rest through?

  See: Page I am having problems with IE, In FF and Chrome the navigation at the top displays fine. However in IE8 (with or without compatibility) the UL seems to indent from the left hand side, not each li just the whole li; despite declaring text-align:center; width:600px; margin:auto; padding-left:0;.   I am creating an application which involves so many web-service calls. I am using NSOperation to execute the web-service calls. There are several views in the application and I'm calling the web-service each time the view loads. Since it is navigation, if user decides to go back to the previous view even before the operation gets completed, another operation is getting into the queue and will be waiting for the previous operation to be completed. Is there any way to stop the previous operation from being executed when its view changes? pls help

  Hello all, I have tried to use the UIPrerenderedIcon/"Icon already includes gloss and bevel" on the Info.plist of my app and it worked perfectly on the Simulator, but not on the real device (iPod touch 2g).   I've got this code... seems nice and elegant, but apparently the framework don't like it when i mess with a collection while iterating through it: foreach (KitGroup kg in ProductToTransfer.KitGroups) { // Remove kit groups that have been excluded by the user if (inKitGroupExclusions != null && inKitGroupExclusions.Contains(kg.KitGroupID)) ProductToTransfer.KitGroups.Remove(kg); else { // Loop through the kit items and do other stuff //... } } The error it throws when it iterates to the 2nd object in the collection is: "EntitySet was modified during enumeration" I know i could create a new collection of KitGroup objects (or even just IDs) that i want to remove, and then another loop afterwards to loop through these, and remove them from the collection, but this just seems like unnecessary extra code... can anybody suggest a more elegant way of achieving the same thing? I know its possible to remove/hide/cover it up because I see some apps in the store without that line. I have tried setting backgroundColor to clearColour on my views but to no avail. • Removing the image from an IKImageView

  I have an IKImageView that is coming up effectively un-initialized. This is happening effectively in an error-state (The user is unregistered) so I haven't had a chance to put an image in it yet. In 10.6, this comes up fine, with a black rectangle. In 10.5, however, it comes up with garbage. some rectangles of noise, some rectangles of copies of the desktop, etc. I've tried setting the ZoomFactor to 0.0, I've tried setting the image to nil, but it appears that the problem is beyond that. any ideas? (My next kludge is going to be to ship tiny blank image with the app, and try to get it to load that... but that's kind of silly)

  I have a text file containing unwanted null characters. When I try to view it in I see ^@ symbols, interleaved in normal text. How can I: a) Identify which lines in the file contains null characters? I have tried grepping for \0 and \x0, but this did not work. b) Remove the null characters? Running strings on the file cleaned it up, but I'm just wondering if this is the best way? Thanks

• Would it be possible to speed up Android Emulator by removing unnecessary apps\

  I am using Android SDK 1.6 and developing some simple apps. It seems everytime Android Emulator loads every default apps, like message music browser etc... I guess this cause the booting process slow (takes 1 minute overhead for me to test the code every time). Would it be possible to take these apps out and just have my apps on the emulator? My purpose is to have a faster boot up time on emulator. Thanks.

  Hello, I am relatively new to WiX. It is a great tool, but I still need some time to learn it better. I have encountered a problem with registration and unregistration of a COM component. I have created installers for two applications, lets call them A and B. Both are using the same COM component. I have used the heat tool, as recommended. When installing A or B, the component is registered without any problems. But when I install A and B, then remove A (with Add/Remove programs) the COM class gets unregistered and B cannot use it anymore. Is there a clean solution to prevent this from happening? I would like to unregister the COM when BOTH A and B are uninstalled. Any help would be appreciated, Best regards, madbadger

  I'm writing a discrete simulation where request values from multiple threads accumulate in a centralized queue. Every n milliseconds, a manager wakes up to process requests. When the manager wakes up, it should retrieve all of the contents of the central queue in a single discrete step. While processing these, any client threads attempting to submit to the queue should block. When processing completes, the queue reopens and the manager goes back to sleep. What's the best way to do this? The retry behavior of STM isn't really what I want. If I use a Chan or MVar, there's no way to prevent clients from enqueuing additional requests during processing. One approach is to use an MVar as a mutex on a Chan holding the queue. Are there other ways to do this?

• Adding a UITapGestureRecognizer to a view then removing seems to short circuit button events

  In the code below I am popping up a ImageView as the result of a users touchUpInside on a simple info button. There are other buttons on the view. To dismiss the info I added a UITapGestureRecognizer to my controllers view, and hide the view when the tap is detected. If I don't remove the tapGestureRecognizer, the action is called every time some. Even when I do remove the gesture action, no bottons receive touchUpInside events once this gesture recognizer is added. Why? The problem is this ModelForm is that each field defined in the model will be displayed on the template. I would like to remove them from the form if they are not needed: exemple : if the user has no right on the model Company, it won't be used it in the rendered form in the template. The problem of that is you have to put the list of fields in the Meta class of the form with fields or exclude attribute, but i don't know how to manage them dynamically. Any Idea??
