  Is there a simple solution for duplicating table rows in SQL Server as well as all table rows with foreign keys pointing to the cloned table row? I've got a "master" table and a bunch of "child" tables which have a foreign key into the ID of the master table. I need to not only create a perfect copy of the master table, but clone each and every child table referencing the master table. Is there a simpler way to do this than creating a new row in the master table, copying in the information from the row to be cloned, then going through each child table and doing the same with each row pointing to the cloned row in the master table? I'm using a SQL Server 2005 Database accessed through C# ASP.net MVC 1.0.

  Hi I am trying to delete a row using the DataTables plugin. First I don't get the example at all. What I have this is a user checks the row they want to delete. I do this then var row = $('#id :checked').parents('tr'); So I get the row of the checked checkbox. Lets assume they only check one box( if multiple where choose it might be different - might need a jquery each loop).   What if one wants to apply a functon i.e. to each row of a matrix, but also wants to use as an argument for this function the number of that row. As an example, suppose you wanted to get the n-th root of the numbers in each row of a matrix, where n is the row number. I want to select a row in TableB based on AValue using a join. The following query is what I have and only grabs a value from TableB based on AId, I just don't know how to grab a row from TableB using AValue. • Strange UIKit bug, table view row stays selected

  I'm facing what appears to be a UIKit bug, and it takes the combination of two less commonly used features to reproduce it, so please bear with me here. I have quite the common view hierarchy: UITabBarController -> UINavigationController -> UITableViewController and the table view controller pushes another table view controller onto the navigation controller's stack when a row is selected. There's absolutely nothing special or fancy in the code here. However, the second UITableViewController, the "detail view controller" if you will, does two things: It sets hidesBottomBarWhenPushed to YES in its init method, so the tab bar is hidden when this controller is pushed: - (id)initWithStyle:(UITableViewStyle)style { if(self = [super initWithStyle:style]) { self.hidesBottomBarWhenPushed = YES; } return self; } It calls setToolbarHidden:NO animated:YES and setToolbarHidden:YES animated:YES on self.navigationController in viewWillAppear: and viewWillDisappear: respectively, causing the UIToolbar provided by UINavigationController to be displayed and hidden with animations: - (void)viewWillAppear:(BOOL)animated { [super viewWillAppear:animated]; [self.navigationController setToolbarHidden:NO animated:YES]; } - (void)viewWillDisappear:(BOOL)animated { [super viewWillDisappear:animated]; [self.navigationController setToolbarHidden:YES animated:YES]; } Now, if the second UITableViewController was pushed by selecting the row at the bottom of the screen (it doesn't have to be the last row) in the first controller, this row does not automatically get deselected when the user immediately or eventually returns to the first controller. Further, the row cannot be deselected by calling deselectRowAtIndexPath:animated: on self.tableView in viewWillAppear: or viewDidAppear: in the first controller. I'm guessing this is a bug in UITableViewController's drawing code which of course only draws visible rows, but unfortunately fails to determine correctly if the bottommost row will be visible in this case. I failed to find anything on this on Google or OpenRadar, and was wondering if anyone else on SO had this problem or knew a solution/workaround.

• jQuery ajax delete script not actually deleting.

  I have a little personal webapp that I'm working on. I have a link that, when clicked, is supposed to make an ajax call to a php that is supposed to delete that info from a database. For some unknown reason, it won't actually delete the row from the database. I've tried everything I know, but still nothing. I'm sure it's something incredibly easy... Here are the scripts involved. • CSS3 transition on table row using height property

  I have an HTML table displaying some information with a few rows. On each row, the user can click to reveal some additional rows that contains information related to the clicked row. Something like this: While the additional rows are being created with an AJAX request, a loading row is inserted right after the clicked row : Currently, everything works perfectly (drill down style), but I would like to add some animation to the loading row. I found a question ( this one ) that has a JSFiddle showing kind of what I want ( this fiddle ). I tried to implement something similar with CSS3 transitions, but I can't get it to work. Here's my simulated attempt ( fiddle only for deployment of the loading row ) using these transitions : -webkit-transition: height 0.1s ease-in-out; -moz-transition: height 0.1s ease-in-out; -ms-transition: height 0.1s ease-in-out; -o-transition: height 0.1s ease-in-out; transition: height 0.1s ease-in-out; Any thought on why my fiddle doesn't do any animation? • Selecting row in SSMS causes Entity Framework 4 to Fail

  I have a simple Entity Framework 4 unit test that creates a new record, saves it, attempts to find it, then deletes it. All works great, unless... ... I open up SQL Server Management Studio while stopped at a breakpoint in the unit test and execute a SELECT statement that returns the row I just created (not SELECT FOR UPDATE, not WITH (updlock), no transaction, just a plain SELECT). If I do that before attempting to find the row I just created, I don't find the row. If I instead do that after finding the row but before deleting the row, I do find the row but get an OptimisticConcurrencyException. This is consistently repeatable.   i have an html table. here is a simplified version: <table> <tr> <td><div style="display: none;" class="remove0">Remove Me</div></td> </tr> <tr> <td><div style="display: none;" class="remove1">Remove Me</div></td> </tr> <tr> <td><div class="remove2">Remove Me</div></td> </tr> </table> i have javascript that clicks on Remove Me in the last row and it deletes the html row using: $(this).parents("tr:first").remove(); the issue is that when i remove this last row, i also want the "Remove Me" text to now show up on the second row (which is now the new last row). how would i show this div so that it would dynamically show the "remove me" from the new last row?

• Computer Comparison - which is "better"

  A company I work with recently replaced their old server and gave it to me. Their old server is a Dell PowerEdge 2600. I've been playing with the machine and even installed Windows Server 2008 on it...and it seems to run it pretty well. Here are the specs for the two machines: Dev Machine: AMD Athlon64 3000+ 2.38 GHz (overclocked from 1.8GHz [@ 280x8.5] - it is stable-ish) Memory (RAM): 1x1GB OCZ PC3200 (Dual-Channel) 300GB HD OS: Windows XP Pro (32bit) SuperPi 1M digit test: 40 seconds Dell PowerEdge 2600 Server: Intel Xeon CPU 2.8GHz 2.8GHz Memory (RAM): 512MBx2 (PC2700, not dual channel) 68GB HD (RAID 5) OS: Windows Server 2000 (32bit) SuperPi 1M digit test: 56 seconds [using 1 processor] (Themes and Aero-Flass UI turned off, of course) I use my computer to regularly run Photoshop CS5, Illustrator CS5, Flash CS5, 5 browsers (Chrome, FF, IE, Safari, Opera), iTunes, Visual Studio 2010, and Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 [sometimes simultaneously :-) ]. The SuperPi test has my dev machine coming in about 30% faster than the Server machine...though this could be due to the server running "Vista" with background processes prioritized. Do you think it would be realistic/advantageous for me to move from my dev machine to the Dell PowerEdge 2600? Is it possible to install additional DVD drives/burners on the server? Can I install my internal 300 GB hard drive on the server? Can I add some USB 2.0 ports? Note: I'll probably install Win XP Pro on the dev machine if I do switch. If not, are there any creative and useful way for me to take advantage of this server (with the goal of faster computing)?

  I have an Excel document that contains X columns and N number of rows. The very last column of a row performs a SUM of the first X-1 columns. The problem I have is, the user of this Excel document progressively adds rows to the document, and because of this, the function does not exist yet in the last column for new rows. I need a way to have this function exist in new rows dynamically (the user is not Excel-savvy and doesn't have the ability to just drag the function down a row).

  I know this has been asked before...but I have a spin as I have been trying out varying free software offerings. I want to rid out department of DiffDoc the problem is that I am having trouble locating something that will do what we need. WinMerge has been the latest attempt... The problem is simple. One Word doc...one PDF with a portion of it containing the text to be compared against. Compare them and be done. Raw text, ignore whitespace, ignore carriage returns, etc... Just compare the text and give me the results in some sort of report. NOTE: Have tried ExamDiff, kdiff3, Tortoise, and a few others...
