  • Extract text and image from a pdf in a selected area or coordinates

    Hi All, I have a specific requirement of extracting text and images from a specific area in a pdf file.The area might be a selected or highlighted or from a given set of coordinates. When i went through, all the approaches are to extract images and text entirely from the PDF on not in a specified location. I tried with iTextSharp,Syncfussion,Apose but couldn figure out a better approach for this. If somebody could help me out in this it would be greatfull. Can you share your ideas and suggestion on how to implement this in .net. Regards, Arun.M

  • MySQL does not work on localhost without Local Area Connection

    I use WampServer(Apache, PHP, MySQL) and have no problems when some kind of network adapter(wireless or lan) is connected(i-e Local Area Connection has status connected) 'even if i am not connected to the internet'(for example when i am connected to the router but that is not connected to the internet). When there is no network connection, i get a php error like MySQL could not connect to 127.0.0.1 on port 3306. Interestingly, 'telnet 127.0.0.1 3306' says that it could not connect to the port, even when the server and MySQL are running fine(i-e when some kind of local area connection is connected). So i turned off all kinds of firewall(antivirus and windows) but still no difference in anything. And that is why this issue is quite puzzling. Things i have already tried(will update this list along the way):- -The skip-networking directive in my.ini.

  • Best way to handle different panels occupying same area

    I have this application: I want to change the marked area when the user is clicked one of the navBarItems (like Microsoft OUTLOOK). I've been doing some research and a lot of people said that I can add several panels and show/hide them when user is clicked a navBarItem. But the area will contain a lot of gridviews and a lot of other controls. I don't know if I want to initialize all of them when application starts because it's gonna be hard on the cpu and memory to keep all the controls running at the same time. And I don't think it's an elegant solution for this kind of situation. But if I choose to initialize controls when user is clicked to corresponding navBarItem, it's gonna be laggy for the user. What is the best design approach for this situation? PS: I can use commercial libraries too. Thank you.

    hi all, i am using cruise control to automate the svn commit process. but the execution of svn commit command restores the files which i deleted from my working copy. the way i am doing is. 1. delete some files in my working copy.( no. of files in my WC is less than no. of files in repository) 2. execute svn command using cruise control. <exec executable="svn.exe"> <buildArgs>ci -m "test msg" --no-auth-cache --non-interactive</buildArgs> <buildTimeoutSeconds>1000</buildTimeoutSeconds> </exec> result: the deleted files are restored in my WC...   • Git repository gets corrupted when I do a large commit: "Possible repository corruption on the remot

    Hi All, A friend of mine and I have been trying to use git for a project. It is hosted on his server, and I git clone it as: git clone [email protected]:/path/to/git/repos.git Pretty standard stuff, and it works great for a while. But every time one of us has added a large commit (which git supposedly handles very well), of the order of 100MB or so, the git repository gets kind of broken. Basically, at this point I will be able to push new changes and pull other changes (I think), but when I try to clone the repository in a fresh location using that command above, I get an error message that says: $git clone [email protected]:/path/to/git/repos.git Initialized empty Git repository in /local/path/to/repos/.git/ remote: Counting objects: 1455, done. remote: Compressing objects: 100% (1235/1235), done. error: git upload-pack: git-pack-objects died with error.s fatal: git upload-pack: aborting due to possible repository corruption on the remote side. remote: aborting due to possible repository corruption on the remote side. fatal: early EOF fatal: index-pack failed This has happened 3 or 4 times now, and it's always when I add a large commit.     Oftentimes, when using git, I find myself in this situation: I have changes to several files, but I only want to commit parts of them. I have added several untracked files, which I want to track and commit. Solving the first part is easy; I run: git add -p Then, I choose which hunks to stage, and which hunks remain in my working tree, but unstaged. However, git's patch mode skips over untracked files. What I would like to do is something like: git add --untracked But no such option appears to exist. If I have, say, six untracked files, I could stage them using add in interactive mode and the add untracked option, like so: git add -i a<CR> 1<CR> 2<CR> 3<CR> 4<CR> 5<CR> 6<CR> <CR> q<CR> I feel like there is, or should be, a quicker way of doing this, though. What am I missing?

  • Committing to a different branch with commit -r

    Does CVS allow committing a file to a different branch than the one it was checked out from? The man page and some sites suggest that we can do a cvs ci -r branch-1 file.c but it gives the following error: cvs commit: Up-to-date check failed for `file.c' cvs [commit aborted]: correct above errors first! I did a cvs diff -r branch-1 file.c to make sure that contents of file.c in my BASE and branch-1 are indeed the same. I know that we can manually check out using cvs co -r branch-1, merge the main branch to it (and fix any merge issues) and then do a check in. The problem is that there are a number of branches and I would like to automate things using a script. This thread seems to suggest that -r has been removed. Can someone confirm that? If ci -r is not supported, I am thinking of doing something like: Make sure the branch versions and base version are the same with a cvs diff Check in to the current branch Keep a copy of the file in a temp file For each branch: Check out from branch with -r replace the file with the temp file Check in (it'll go the branch as -r is sticky) Delete the temp file The replacing part sounds like cheating to me - can you think of any potential issues that might occur? Anything I should be careful about? Is there any other way to automate this process?

Clearly, I don't want to shell out a lot of money for something so simple, so getting adobe premiere or similar software is a no go. I could however consider paying a small software (max 30 dollars) for this specific task.

    MONROE - Craigslist is a popular site when trying to find that perfect deal on a rental home or apartment. Experts warn some of these rental ads aren't what they seem. We decided to take a look. On our Craigslist search we found this house for rent. The problem is this home’s not for rent - it's for sale. “I think it’s a huge deal,” said Shane Wooten, the realtor for this home in Monroe. His properties have become the target of a common scam, aimed at taking your money. "It looks like they're trying to scam them out of their deposit and first months rent," adds Wooten. He says scammers copy and paste the sale ad's from legitimate realtor sites to Craigslist as rental ads. "I can usually tell when one hits craigslist because I’ll usually get 20 to 30 phone calls that day." They then pretend to be out of town on business or personal matters, and give only an email address as a point of contact. Usually they'll ask for money up front on a deal too good to miss. "You'll have a house that's supposed to rent for $950-1000 a month, and they'll have it renting for $600 a month,” says Wooten During our conversation, he shows us text messages from one scammer who says he'll mail the keys to this house if Wooten wires money for a deposit and first months rent. Jo Ann Deal of the Better Business Bureau says scammers are getting better at making themselves out to be realtors. "We’re really concerned for our real estate agents with this scam," says Deal. She says that realtors have to be more on top of their vacant homes in order to protect their businesses. So how can you tell if the house you want is really for rent? She says if the home owner lives out of the country, can't meet face to face or asks for a payment through a money wire it's probably a scam. “There are some catch-lines you watch for,” says Deal. “If the marketing is really good but there's no phone number, no physical address and they will communicate with you only by email and you can do it today, then it's probably a scam." You should always report fishy ad's to Craigslist or the BBB and never send money through a wire transfer.

    A few days ago my apartment got broken in, and they took all the electronics, including my $1500 laptop. We are pretty sure it's an inside job (as in someone from the same building), so I believe that the stuff is in someones apartment. Is there any tool that tells you what wireless adapters are active within range? I have my laptops MAC address, so I could use that to find out who stole it. I think it's worth a shot.     I am using Ubuntu Gnome 13.04 with nvidia-310 driver installed. My GPU is GeForce GTX650. Strange spots freqently appear on screen, with following traits: Spots are restricted in one or two rectangle areas at any instant. When typing, the pattern of spots change. Possibly increase, or all disappear when one key pressed. Mouse movement also influences. This problem last within one boot. The only way can I get rid of this problem is to reboot. It can be detected as soon as entering desktop if it appears. Simultaneously, the "power off" option is lost in the top-right menu of Gnome3. Never such problem when using windows 7 on the same computer, neither ubuntu with Nouveou driver. Seldomly, half of the screen become black. I googled a lot. Similar conditions are described, but no confirmed solution. Uninstall-r einstall strategy does not work. Any clue solving this will be appeciated.

    We have a very small LAN here, but some peolpe here think we need Active Directory, though nobody knows how to maintain it. I am not in the position to change this. How can I get full access (on Linux it would be "execute" rights) also for files on network drives (the files are just on another machine next room) My account is in the group Administrators on a windows 2003 server Domain Controller. I cannot open simple MS Access 2000 Databases or CHM Files from network drives in the lan How to do that? Some policy setting? I want to change that once. It is useless. We have no distinction between local or network files here. I would have to copy everything to a local drive and then do what I want.

    I have windows xp and slackware 13 on one computer, and the ISP provided me a new modem. There was manual how to configure it, so i start the web browser and typed it's ip address 192.168.1.1 and the web interface of the modem appeared so i logged in, that was easy. But under slackware, i don't know how to enter in the modem config / web interface. I type in 192.168.1.1 but it's not working.   • xp stop error 50 page fault in non paged area

    I have a laptop that fails to boot with the BSOD error: "page_fault_in_non_paged_area" STOP: 0x00000050 (0xEC6B738D, 0x00000000, 0x8649308C, 0x00000000) The laptop has 2 memory DIMMs. I removed each DIMM one at a time and the error remained with just one DIMM installed. I have run spinrite 6.0 on the hard drive no errors found. Booted to recovery mode and ran CHKDSK /R, it found and fixed errors but still gets the stop error. Any other suggestions to try?

  • Add separate domain name to Wordpress admin area with htaccess

    I have a Wordpress installation in a seperate folder on my server (meaning it is not in the root folder). I have a htaccess rewrite rule that maps Domain A to folder A. Inside folder A is the Wordpress admin folder, let's call it folder A.B. I tried mapping Domain B to folder A.B., but I can't get it to work properly. When you log in to Wordpress via /admin, you get redirected to /wp-login.php (so from folder A.B. to folder A), maybe that is where I get into trouble. So what I would like to do is this: Domain A folder A Domain B folder A.B Note that this is not for security purposes, I just like the idea of www.domainb.com instead of www.domaina.com/wp-admin. Can this be done with Wordpress?
