  • Problem getting Params in injected controller Zend Framework

    I have a layout 'profile' <div> <div> $this->action(action1, controller1, module1)<div> <div> $this->layout()->content </div> <div> $this->action(someotheraction, soController,soModule ); </div And the problem starts when I want to get the $request-Params() from the action1 , controller1 module1 , it is empty. I looked at the code of a helper Action , it does accept as a 4th parameter Params, but then I will have to set it somewhere in the layout - which is not good. Basically what are the recommendations of guru people that are pretty professional with zend Framework. Maybe I should do some work around or should change the concept of how I am injecting additional Controller(module) actions

    I'm trying to do a seemingly simple webpage layout, but I'm hitting a wall. I'd like to do everything purely with CSS (no tables to much things up, and no javascript dynamically resizing things) I'd like to have: A heading with a fixed height A footer with a fixed height Left sidebar with a fixed width Right sidebar with a fixed width The whole layout always fills the entire viewport (i.e. if the user resizes the window, the layout grows to the new size) Put another way: |< Total width is 100% of viewport >| +--------------------------------------------------------------+ --- | Header with a fixed height | ^ |--------+-------------------------------------------+---------+ | | | | | | | | | Left | | Right | Total | with | Center grows in height/width | with | height | fixed | and has scrollbars if necessary | fixed | is | width | | width | 100% | | | | of | | | | viewport | | | | |--------+-------------------------------------------+---------| | Footer with a fixed height | v +--------------------------------------------------------------+ --- The parts that are giving me the most trouble are Having the sidebars and center have a height equal to the height of the viewport minus the heights of the header and footer Having the center have a width equal to the width of the viewport minus the widths of the two sidebars I have no problem requiring users to have a modern browser.   • Creating a horizontal fluid layout in css that works like a table

    Basically what i am after is a fluid solution in css, that is similar to the table layout below.The principal behind this layout is 3x3 grid where by a user can add content into the first fluid area and it will expand the complete width of the page. But if that user decides that he wants content in the 2nd and 3rd area, all 3 td's fill up 33% of the width.   • Nested Linear layout only shows first view after being set from gone to visible in Android

    Hi guys, I am developing an Android app but I'm still pretty new. I want to have a button, and when you push that button, a few TextViews and Buttons will appear. So I have a main linear layout, and then another linear layout nested inside containing the things I want hidden. I have the nested linear layout set to android:visibility="gone". The problem I am having is that it only shows the first item inside the hidden linear layout instead of all of them.   • Looping the layout that was set up in Interface Builder

    I just need for someone to point me in the right direction of how I should be doing things. I wanted to make an iOS news like app that would have interface resembling Windows Phone. Large and small image tiles that represent one news item each. Now I was thinking to create some basic layout in storyboard, that would consist out of, for example, a title, and a 3 different sized tiles/images (the gray part on the attached image). Now, I would be getting the data as a JSON array that has holds different news categories so I was wondering if somehow the set up layout could be reused in a for loop since the layout will only repeat itself (the red part on the attached image) and oly the data would be different. Can this be done, should I even try doing something like this, or should I try to create an entire layout programmatically? I wouldn't mind doing it programatically, it's just that I don't have much experience in creating layouts that way, and wanted to make sure that I don't do something that I might regret later. Thank you for any help and advice.

    I tried setting up ZF2 on the GoDaddy shared servers, though it doesn't work. I tried to download it directly, and using the git composer (which I managed to install successfully on the server).     I'm trying to get Zend_Mail to send an encapsulated message - as though it's forwarding an email. $attachedContent = "<h1>H1 Email</h1>"; $emailContent = "<h1>Email Content>"; $mail = new Zend_Mail(); $mail->setBodyText('text content'); $mail->setBodyHtml($emailContent); $mail->setFrom('[email protected]', 'GAS'); $mail->addTo('[email protected]', 'GAS'); $at = $mail->createAttachment($attachedContent); $at->type = 'message/rfc822; name="forwarded message"'; $at->disposition = Zend_Mime::DISPOSITION_INLINE; $at->encoding = Zend_Mime::ENCODING_7BIT; $mail->setSubject('Test'); $mail->send(); Mail clients are getting the email, rendering the normal HTML content, and displaying the forwarded message and rendering its contents, however, it's formatting like: <h1>Email Content</h1> Can you see what I'm doing wrong? Essentially, I have an incoming URL which looks like this: /StandardSystems/Dell/LatitudeE6500 I'd like that to be mapped to the StandardsystemsController, and I'd like that controller to be passed parameters "make" => "Dell" and "model" => "LatitudeE6500". How can I setup such a system using Zend_Application?

  • Ways to call Blocks within Magento: createBlock vs Layout xml file

    Context: I'm trying to include Adminhtml blocks in the frontend of the site to replace some of the user account blocks. The first thing I'm trying to do is simply display the block on the correct page. I can replace the entire page by setting the Body of the response inside the controller, but I'm having a hard time including the block in the layout xml file and then calling it within the template. Why would I be able to create an adminhtml/sales_order_grid from Mage_Sales_OrderController using createBlock: $this->getResponse()->setBody($this->getLayout()->createBlock('adminhtml/sales_order_grid')->toHtml()); But not from a frontend layout, using a declaration <block type="adminhtml/sales_order_grid" name="orders_widget"/> within app/design/frontend/default/default/layout/sales.xml The latter produces an error without a stack trace: Fatal error: Call to a member function toHtml() on a non-object in app/code/core/Mage/Core/Model/Layout.php on line 526 Thanks for any guidance!

    Hi, I have created a project zfapi by zf command in ubuntu. Now http://myserverpath.com/zfapi/ gives me listing of folder public application and others. http://myserverpath.com/zfapi/public give me the index page index.php. and i have made the UserController.php in application/controllers but by http://myserverpath.com/zfapi/user/ is saying user not found. what configuration i need to set for running it proper.     I need to get the unique URL identifier for the product that is created after inserting an item into Google Base using the Zend_Gdata_Gbase library. I can't seem to do this. I am finding a startling lack of documentation online about manipulating the objects used in these applications. The url that I add to the object does not work to retrieve the base item later, which is why I need to get the one that google generates upon submission. I am writing a program that will need to be able to delete content at a later date, and thus will need to store that information in order to keep the website synced with the Google Base feed.     When you submit a form, disabled form fields are not submitted in the request. So if your form has a disabled form field, it makes working with Zend_Form::isValid() a little frustrating. $form->populate($originalData); $form->my_text_field->disabled = 'disabled'; if (!$form->isValid($_POST)) { //form is not valid //since my_text_field is disabled, it doesn't get submitted in the request //isValid() will clear the disabled field value, so now we have to re-populate the field $form->my_text_field->value($originalData['my_text_field']); $this->view->form = $form; return; } // if the form is valid, and we call $form->getValues() to save the data, our disabled field value has been cleared! Without having to re-populate the form, and create duplicate lines of code, what is the best way to approach this problem?

  • Make user object available to all Controllers in Zend?

    Hey guys, I'm using Zend_Auth to identify a user in my application. This creates a session with the userobject. My question is how do I make this object available to every Controller and action, so I don't have to pull it out of the session every time I need data from this object? I'm guessing this should be done in bootstrap.php or index.php but I don't really know how to makte it available to every controller.. so any code examples would be appreciated! Thanks!
