  • Batch View updates

    I want to load a bunch of view definitions into SQL Server 2005 & 2008. I am using IF/ELSE logic to dynamically building Create or Alter statements that I then EXEC. This works fine. However, unless I get the order of the statements correct, I get errors if a view is dependent on another view that would be created in a later statement. Is there a way to turn of the valiation of the SQL statements until after they have all been entered? It seems like the worst of both worlds. SQL Server does late binding and so it won't propogate changes to tables and views, but you can't create a view without all the pieces being in place.

  • iPad/iPod: autoRotate resizes view in window

    Developing an iPad interface, I have a scenario where I have a UIViewController which manages a view that gets placed directly as a subview of the main UIWindow. Before being placed in the UIWindow, that view gets resized to a non-standard size, let's say, 768x460, and positioned at the bottom of the screen. When rotating the device, the autoRotate feature of the UIViewController causes the view to be resized so that it fills the entire UIWindow space. I thought this might be because in the XIB, the view is set to window size, but when I changed it to reflect the desired size, it still expanded it to the window size. Then I went into the MainWindow XIB and turned off autoresizeSubviews, and it still happens. This is a very frustrating problem, I am hoping that there is merely something obvious that I am missing out on. Anyone have any bright ideas?

    I have a modal view that is presented and dismissed fine when my device is in vertical orientation. I have problems when my modal view is presented in the vertical orientation, but dismissed in horizontal orientation. The entire app switches back to vertical orientation automatically. How can I ensure that if I am in horizontal orientation, the view should dismiss properly?

  • Problem with View - it does not refresh after db update

    Hi, I am working with small ASP.NET MVC project - online store. I have addToCart method which adds selected product to cart - it updates cart table in my db and showing cart view with its content. But I have problems. While db is updating correctly the view does not. I see that quantity of the product in my db is incremented correctly but quantity in view is not changed. I have to stop debugging my app in visual studia and restart it - then my view is showing correct data. What can be wrong?

Now I could duplicate the data each quarter, keeping the price the same, but I'd rather use a view. How can I create a view that can be used to return prices for (for example) quarter 2?     Hi, I'm using Zend_Test_PHPUnit_ControllerTestCase to test my controllers. This class provides various ways to test the rendered output, but I don't want to get my view scripts involved. I'd like to test my view's vars. Is there a way to access to the controllers view object?   • MVVM- How would I go about propagating settings between my main view-model (and other view-models) a

    I am building a settings dialog for my application and right now all of the settings correspond with settings on the main view-model, but as I add more view's and view-models some may not. I need to know what the best practice is for loading the current settings into the settings dialog and then saving the settings to thier corresponding view-models if the user clicks okay. I will not be using the Properties.Settings.Default system to store settings since I want my application to be as portable as possible and this would store user scoped settings in the directory: C:\Users\ username \Local Settings\Application Data\ ApplicationName Instead of in my application's directory. In case it makes any difference I am using the MVVM Light Toolkit by Laurent Bugnion.

  • Accessing Spring beans from a Tiles view (JSP)

    In Spring MVC I can access my beans in JSP using JstlView's exposedContextBeanNames (or exposeContextBeansAsAttributes). For example, then, in my JSP I can write (${properties.myProperty). But when the same JSP is a part of a tiles view, these properties aren't accessible. Is possible to configure Tiles properly or access these properties in another way? I'm using Spring MVC 3.0.2 and Tiles 2.2.1.     I have created a usercontrol which accept type of enum and assign the values of that enum to a ComboBox control in that usercontrol. Very Simple. I am using this user control in DataTemplates. Problem comes when there comes nested type. I assign that using this notation EnumType="{x:Type myNamespace:ParentType + NestedType}" It works fine at runtime. but at design time it throws error saying Could not create an instance of type 'TypeExtension' Why? Due to this I am not able to see my window at design time. Any help?

    Microsoft MSDN site has next remark: "Any groups assigned to a ListView control appear whenever the ListView.View property is set to a value other than View.List." My problem is that i like to have View set to SmallIcon. In this mode ListView control is shifted left, and CheckBoxes are covered by left edge How to solve this issue, or at least how is possible to shift rendering of control to the right. My OS is Windows XP Service Pack 3. It looks like that ListView items with Groups and CheckBoxes shows correctly only when View set to Details.

    I'm getting this error when trying to view a Sitecore item based on a template that contains nothing but one sublayout played in a placeholder in another layout. I can place the sublayout in other sublayouts and view it on another item, and I can preview the item, but when I go to view that item I get this: The layout for the requested document was not found. [blah blah blah] Requested Layout: {00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000} [blah blah blah some more] The only way I've found to view the new item is to do a "Publish Site" from the Publish tab. Is there a way to get that one item working without republishing everything?
