  • Error when using mailto: link in Mobile Safari in app-capable mode

    I've got a form in a web page with an action that is "mailto:email" (where email is a real email address). When I load this page in Mobile Safari in regular mode (ie, not launched from home screen with app-capable mode), this works fine - after I submit the form, the email app comes up. However, when I'm in app-capable mode and have launched from the home screen (so, no Safari chrome), and submit the form I get the error "URL can't be shown". However, a regular mailto: link (ie, not in a form) does work when in app-capable mode. Has anyone else noticed this? Any workarounds? Are forms disallowed in app-capable mode? Thanks, Elisabeth

It works great and have used it many times. the data is perfect, but doing it from inside my website would be better. Thanks

  • Ruby on Rails simple_navigation Gem

    I'm using the simple_navigation gem with RoR 2.3.5 It all seems to work correctly, I followed the info in the RDoc (seen here http://rdoc.info/projects/mexpolk/simple_navigation) However, when I actually render out the simple_navigation menu on my main application.html.erb file it escapes all of the html in it (multiple escapes actually). I end up with junk like this which in a browser ends up with all kinds of disjointed text and ["\ things everywhere. <ul class="simple_navigation" depth="0" id="simple_navigation_default"> ["<li class=\"menu\" drop_down=\"true\" id=\"simple_navigation_default_menus_home\"><a href=\"/home\">Wellcome</a><ul depth=\"1\" id=\"simple_navigation_default_menus_home_menus\"> [\"<li class=\\\"menu\\\" drop_down=\\\"false\\\" id=\\\"simple_navigation_default_menus_home_menus_settings\\\"><a href=\\\"/home/settings\\\">Appliction Settings</a></li>\"] </ul> </li>"] What am I doing wrong?     I am trying to export one field from a very large table - containing 5,000,000 records, for example - into a csv list - but not all together, rather, 100,000 records into each .csv file created - without duplication. How can I do this, please?     Hi Everyone, I'm trying to create a drop down button and its almost working except one little bug. I have several big buttons that change background color when the user hovers over them and one of them, the language button, displays several suboptions inside itself when the user hovers over it. That all works fine except the language button doesn't change its background color when the user hovers over it. It does change its color if the cursor is just inside the button but not if it touches the 3 sub options. What i need is a technique or a rule that states that the button will change background color if user hovers over it or if the user hovers over one of its children elements. How do I achieve this? Therefore, i created a folder "documentation" unter the folder "wiki" (same level as home.wiki) and added some .wiki files. Now i'm trying to display all these contents of Documentation/ as table of contents. Therefore, i added the line: <<toc Documentation/ 2 >> After commit and push my home.wiki page really shows a TOC, but it contains only the first file stored in the folder Documentation/.     Hi there. I'm doing some JAVA coding at home and at work. At home i have Linux, work, Windows. The rootpath to X file in Windows is c:\Documents And Settings\User\My Documents\Dropbox\file.xxx and in Linux is something like /media/My Documents/Dropbox/file.xxx So, every time i edit in either system, i have to manually change the root of the file in a new File(FILEPATH) statement. Is there a workaround for this? I bet if the file root is relative to the project resource tree would do the trick, but that's an Eclipse based solution, not JAVA, i believe.

    Hello, I have a square grid, for a turn based game ( grid is similar to the chess board ), but the moves in the games are different based on whether you have lapped your opponent pawn at least once or not. i.e if you have not lapped (beaten any of the opponents pawns) in the outer most grid as below if you have lapped your opponent pawn once at least, then you get to reach home,this way.Any player having all his pawns reaching "home" first wins. The ones in yellow are safe-houses, i.e both the opponent pawn and the player's pawn get to stay in the same grid, this is not considered to be lapping ( the opponent ).The lapped pawn will return to its start point. Now the question is, what is the effective way to store the paths for the all the pawns.we will have 4 pawns for the player and 4 opponent pawns.   • Kohana and Javscript path

I have a following Kohana setup: All my files are placed under 'public_html/koh' My js files are placed under 'public_html/koh/media/js/' I use html::script helper to include those javascript files which generates me following html code: In my js I access one of controllers like 'json/getsomething' (which is http://localhost/koh/json/getsomething). It works OK as long as I'm staying in top of the controller: http://localhost/koh/home When I go to 'http://localhost/koh/home/index' it renders the same page of course but 'json/getsomething' is not accessible from Javascript anymore. How can I solve this problem? Include Javascript using absolute path? Create a variable in js like var fullPath = 'http://localhost/koh/'? What is the best practice to do it? Leonti

    I have a very simple script that is to test if running a shell_exec (or backtick operator) basically works: #!/usr/bin/php5-cli <?php echo "This is a PHP script\n"; echo `ls -l /home/stoysnet/`; Unless I run this as root, it always gives me: $ ./foo.php This is a PHP script Warning: _shell_exec(): Permission Denied in /home/stoysnet/foo.php on line 5 I've tried running this via PHP in a few different ways, but I always get the same error. However, when I put the script into a subdirectory of /etc/ owned by root:root and executed as root it works. What gives?
