  • Social Network directed Graph Library? .NET

    Hello everybody, I am on a project where I have multiple users of a portal and they are connected to other users of the portal, now we are asked to draw a "Social Network" relationship graph to see the relationships. The constraint is that this graph has to be seen on the WEB BROWSER. The graph has to be something like: Is there any C# library or component to draw this type of graphs?   • no ocijdbc10 in java.library.path

    Hey all, So I've been plagued by this issue, whenever I try to run my app in eclipse, I get this error. 2011-02-23 09:55:08,388 ERROR (com.xxxxx.services.factory.ServiceInvokerLocal:21) - java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no ocijdbc10 in java.library.path I've tried following the steps I found here with no luck. I've tried this on a XP VM as well as windows 7 (although in win 7 I get a different error, below) java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no ocijdbc9 in java.library.path I've made sure my oracle client was ok (by running TOAD) and I also re-added the classes12.jar / ojdbc14.jars to my WEB-INF/lib folder taken directly from my %ORACLE_HOME% folder (also re-added them to the lib path). I've also tried just adding the ojdbc14.jar without the classes12.jar. Any suggestions appreciated. In the XP VM I have my PATH variable set to C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_24\bin;C:\ORACLE\product\10.2.0.1\BIN. I'm using Tomcat server 5.0

  • iOS development license and itunes connect

    New to iOS development and everything with the license is driving me nuts. So i got a few questions. I have a developer account but not a license yet. If i buy a iOS developer license for $99, that license is then stuck to my account? Can one developer account have multiple iTunes Connect accounts or is it stuck to one? Before i started to read up on stuff my account got added to a company's iTunes Connect account. If i then buy a license would i be stuck to just develop to that company or is it possible to change? I want to develop for my self and also one specific company. Can i use the same licence or do i need two? Can you have multiple licenses/certifications or whatever its called in Xcode? Is the iOS Developer Program both for development and distribution?

    Can anyone recommend a .Net XML Serialization library (ideally open source). I am looking for a robust XML serialization library that I can throw any object at, which will produce a human readable XML representation of the public properties for logging purposes. I never need to be able to deserialize. XmlSerializer's requirement of an object having a parameter constructor is too restrictive for what I want. DataContractSerializer does not give enough control over the output (which is not particularly human-readable). Any recommendations appreciated! Thanks

    Hi, In order to Unit-Test a feature, I need to fake DateTime.Now. Something like: SupposeNowIs(new DateTime(..)); I can either use a third library that does it, or write my own little class. What do you recommand? Do you know any good library for this purpose? How would you fake time in C#? By changing DateTime.Now? (I suppose it's read only?). Thank you!

What I want actually is to separate the main subject which is being searched in a query.   • Experiences with OpenLaszlo?

    In a related question, I asked about Web Development. I came across something called OpenLaszlo yesterday and thought it looked interesting for doing some website development. The site has a bunch of good information on it and they've got some nice tutorials and such, but being a total novice (as far as web development goes), I'm wondering whether anyone here would recommend this. As I stated in my other question, this is a new world for me and there are a lot of directions I could go. Can you compare/contrast this and other web development you've done? Obviously, this is somewhat subjective, but I haven't heard much about it on SO and I'm hoping to get some opinions on this.

  • Recommend a local LDAP store for development

    Our project uses an LDAP repository for storing users. In production this will be Active Directory. For development, we seem to have a couple of options: Install an AD LDS instance that everyone uses Install an AD LDS instance on every developer machine We're trying to keep the 'F5' experience as lightweight as possible, so installing things or relying on a central AD store aren't my favorite ideas. There are other LDAP servers, like Open LDAP. I was hoping there might be an LDAP server that simply talks to an XML file. This would allow us to store the XML file in source control and have something that is fast and works. Our nightly builds would still use AD to pick up any differences, but the hope is since we're using LDAP it should Just Work. Can you recommend an LDAP implementation that works well for zero-config shared-nothing development?

    there are plenty of frameworks for coding MVC web applications. this time im going to code a library (think of Doctrine or Solr) with a bunch of class files. u just include a bootstrap or a class file and you are ready to use my classes. i have never tried to code a library before and intend to code one for learning purpose so that i can use various design patterns i have learned. are there any great frameworks for this, how i should organize the different class files, where i can put configuration files and so on? tutorials or other information would be great too. thanks

  • Xcode debugger showing assembler for nested classes in a static library

    I have a project A which creates a static library. I have a project B which uses this library. When I am debugging project B, certain functions within project A will display assembler when stepped into or when a breakpoint set inside them is hit. In the debug navigator, the line containing the function is grey instead of black. The strange part is that other functions in the same source file have no problems displaying. The thing that all these functions seem to have in common is that they belong to nested classes. However, I'm not totally convinced that this is the issue since functions from other nested classes display correctly. Does anyone know the cause of this?

    I use the boost lexical_cast library for parsing text data into numeric values quite often. In several situations however, I only need to check if values are numeric; I don't actually need or use the conversion. So, I was thinking about writing a simple function to test if a string is a double: template<typename T> bool is_double(const T& s) { try { boost::lexical_cast<double>(s); return true; } catch (...) { return false; } } My question is, are there any optimizing compilers that would drop out the lexical_cast here since I never actually use the value? Is there a better technique to use the lexical_cast library to perform input checking?

    I'm converting an application from the .Net framework to Qt using C++. The application makes extensive use of regular expression unicode properties, i.e. \p{L}, \p{M}, etc. I've just discovered that the QRegExp class lacks support for this among other things (lookbehinds, etc.) Can anyone recommend a C++ regular expression library that: Supports unicode properties Is unicode-aware in other respects (i.e. \w matches more than ASCII word characters) As a bonus, supports lookbehinds. Please don't point me to the wikipedia article; I don't trust it. That article says that QRegExp supports unicode properties. Unless I'm really doing something wrong, it doesn't. I'm looking for someone actually using unicode properties with a regex library in a project.

  • Install the proper bitness Visual C++ Runtime Library via a Setup project

    Hi all! The context: I have a solution that contains amongh other C# projects, a VC++ project that suports compiling only as x64 or Win32 (but not Any CPU). In order for the application (which in fact is a macro for a third party application) to run, it requires Visual C++ Runtime libraries (x86) or (x64) (The macro will run on both x64 and x86 operating systems.) The problem: I want to create a Visual Studio setup project that would install the macro on both x86 and x64 operating systems, and the problem I have is to specify what Visual C++ Runtime library to use a prerequisite. If both are selected (x64 and x86) than I have a runtime error message when running the setup.exe, as on x86 operating systems you cannot run x64 executables like the Visual C++ Runtime libraries (x64) kit is...(which the setup calls in the back). So I would need a bitness condition, or something like that to tell the setup what bitness version of the Visual C++ Runtime library to try to install...I'm not sure if this is possible, or even where such a code should be placed in the setup. What I need is the following: I'll record multiple (say 50+) audio streams (recordings of radio stations) from that recordings, I'll mark interesting audio clips - their length ranges from 2 to 60 seconds - there will be few thousands of such audio clips library should be able to find other instances of same audio clips from recorded sound streams confidence factor should be reported to used and additional input provided so the recognition could perform better next time Do you know of such software library? LGPL would be most valuable to me, but I can go for commercial license as well.
